Justifications and background information for chosen stories

Eternal [Completed] explains itself. This story provided a tremendous insight into the relationship of Princess Celestia and Twilight Sparkle, as well as a huge part of the history of the equestrian rulers. Themed in a rather dark and sad setting, Twilight Sparkle has to search for the true meaning of the mentor-role and her, being the faithful student. It's a must-read for everyone that cares to sit through more than the normal 20.000 words of a sad-tagged story.

Unintended [Completed] is quite the nice sequel to a normal friendshipping story, written by Vargras. It also gives insight into the minds of Twilight Sparkle and Applejack, and explains some missing closure in its prequel. It stands out from other relationship inducing stories in between the main protagonists of the show itself, because, at least far, it didn't  get into the filler dilemma like other stories.

Composure [The word irregular isn't going to scratch the surface] is a deep romance story involving Twilight Sparkle and Princess Celestia, and is one of the stories that introduced the fandom, especially FiMFiction, to this particular couple. Of course, there were other ones who had written stories about that topic way back in younger times, just like VelvetHeart with his two mature content containing 'Twilestia'-stories, but Varanus did a great job in inspiring many other people. For instance, Device Heretic found some inspiration for his own masterpiece.

The Empty Room [Completed] is, who would have guessed, a story about the past and origin of Twilight Sparkle. I don't want to spoil your virgin memory, perhaps you want to read the story, so I'm not going to let anymore about this story slip. By the way, the romance doesn't involve Twilight Sparkle, it involves a tall red Apple-bucking farmerpony, and a traveling showmare.

Spark [Completed] is a beautifully written story by AVeryStrange, involving Twilight Sparkle, Princess Luna and Princess Celestia. I've grown quite fond of it, given the circumstances that it is one of the very first fanfics I've ever read. It isn't a very deep story, it rather sets somebody thinking, as well as observing the nature and past of the two regal alicorns. Generally the story is about an illness affecting Princess Luna, and Twilight Sparkle tending mentioned Goddess of the moon. After quite some romantic moments, the lavender unicorn discovers the source of the now very dangerous sickness. But sometimes the source is a big twist.

Romance Reports [Completed], written by SleeplessBrony, is a relatively long story about Twilight's sexlife. Yeah, you've read the right word. She essentially has a tiny crush on the princess of the night, but, alas, she obviously is too unexperienced in matters of love. So, after a conversation with Luna, she has to study on love, lovemaking, and so on. She regularly writes Luna Romance Reports, an element of the story which has given it the name (hurr durr, Captain Obvious.) I don't want to spoil everything, but, oh boy, if you're going to read it, you're in for the ride of your life.

Much Ahoof About Nothing [Completed], written by Butterscotchsundae, the well-known sensual fiction writer, comprises Princess Celestia and Twilight, as well as, an overeager Rarity, an officious Applejack, and a relative young goddess, from which the last three all want to reach one goal. Ship Twilight. With who? It's up to the mindset of the pony. Twilight and Princess Celestia, on the other hand, want to spend some time together, exchange some news, essentially make up leeway, or want they?

Not My Destiny [Completed] is a relatively short and dark slice of life regarding Twilight Sparkle. One day she wakes up, only to find out that she's turned into an alicorn. Yeah, that setting is overused, and I can't say that this story is one of the very first out there, since it's absolutely not, but I can say that it inspired some people to show the other side of changes, to take a strive away from overpowered Twilight Sparkles. Smayds, the author, showed the bad side, for once. Other stories which are focusing on this topic, present us mostly terribly angst-ridden protagonists, who aren't anymore able to trot out of their trees.

Background Pony [Completed] forces somebody to take a step back and think about the sense of life. We all strive for acknowledgement, some for the greater good, friends or knowledge as it is. But what would you do if the plain opportunity of it gets robbed from you? This story focuses on a background pony going by the name of Lyra Heartstrings. She does not get remembered. She walks through your life, affecting it in minor ways, but in the end you forget her. You won't even remember that I've named her above. A fairly deep story begging for the reader to think.

The Scootaloo Diaries [Completed], originally a short episode from the main story "What Happens in Ponyville...", but thankfully given the opportunity to give itself the chance for some deeper development, is the work of a not-so-generic clop-fic author. ImJustAnotherBrony was forced to split his original Opus Magnum into the former ingredients, as he took a closer look on the rules. I'm quite thankful of that, since this ended up in shoving "The Scootaloo Diaries" up in his priority-list, giving said story the status of a real Opus Magnum.

The realization that I've been around here for exactly a year just struck me.  Incredible.  A little hobby at the side evolved into an unmeasurably time-consuming addiction.  Well, I've got to admit that the fandom isn't exactly the thing that's been holding me back from just leaving My Little Pony behind.  To be honest, the fandom is pretty poor.  But this is not a place for a rant about a fandom of a thing I've grown to enjoy a tad bit too much.  It's just fascinating how things have changed in just a year, even on FiMFiction.  People come, people go, stories get popular, popular stories get hated.  I remember how this used to be a quiet place, a place where one could get away from the challenges life tends to throw at one.  Now it is as busy, if not busier, than the Grand Central Station between 7 and 9 am.  By the way, the same goes for the IRC-Chat.  I remember the day when the "FiM-Regulars" made their own channel just to avoid the rush of spammy "newfags".  Glorious weeks, I say.  Oh, and the weeks when people came onto the old statistics to get a glimpse on their favorites and comments count.  Busy times for the servers.

He, I especially loved the way how people went to incredibly upset because of the change from the 5-star-ratingsystem to thumbs.  Man, that were weeks of butthurt.  Oh, and the deletion of Eternal.  There's only one other way to piss off more people in less time.  Crashing into a couple of skyscrapers, I guess?

Man, let's get started with 52 more weeks of mediocre fanfiction, a bad community, and a page which gets more complicated every hour.

Just some crap written in what felt like four minutes. Yeah, it's bad, but what do you do when it's half past midnight and you don't have anything to do, and no sleep to attend to?

Ponies tend to forget what matters. Someponies disregard the hints and tips one throws at their heads. Others try to omit everything that could be related to effort and tolls, and try to substitute the challenges with simple, straightforward and absolutely wrong ways of solving them, which will end up with them pulling the shorter straw out of the so-called pot of society. To keep it short, you probably won't find them at the upper crust of society. Still, they are a part of the society, a society which keeps on defining itself with cutiemarks and special talents. Ponies who don't have any special talents end up getting picked on, or even worse, hated, by so-called “better” ponies, who try to make other lives living hells. This is only an example how the youngest part of this society gets raised. If one takes a look at the surroundings of the elder ponies, one can see very quickly that there is more to it than simple annoyance and teasing. The life of a pony isn't only about getting richer and richer, or attention, it's not about being known by every thinking thing, it's not about exploiting one's surroundings or even trying to cope with exploitation when one is experiencing it first-hand. Before you jump to any conclusions, this text is not going the route where the author is beginning to talk about love and tolerance. This text couldn't be any different. Friendship, love, tolerance, all of them are tools. They are tools to get what you want. This is not playing at having success in your career or your studies. This is only relevant to your power. Magical power. As the studies of a certain unicorn named Twilight Sparkle have proven, friendship indeed equals magic.

Err me gerd, you made it down here.

There's nothing to my page. People come on user pages in order to compare their dicks, measured in the unit of being a member of FiMFiction for a certain time.

I occasionally proofread, but don't even bother to ask me; if your story is appealing, I'm probably already reading it, and pointing out minor or major flaws. By the way, a proofreader can't get your story back from beyond the grave.

Quote of the Month:

"I use Cox, okay? And in case you're watching this, I like Cox! They provide good and fast internet speed for me, but it's not as fast as it could be, we all know that. I spend all day downloading Cox, looking at Cox, I listen to Cox, I talk via Cox, I love Cox! Everyone knows! When you think of Francis, the first thing you think of is, "that guy loves Cox! He's using Cox all day!" I like Cox in my eyes, I like Cox in my ears, I like Cox all over me, okay?! I even have Cox in my TV in the living room! My whole house is filled with Cox, and it's one of the basic experiences of my life!"

My humor is so black that I theoretically could pick cotton.

Where did I say that I'm a superb proofreader?

I'm sixteen years old, from Germany, and just about to get my matriculation standard. I'm not better than one who's speaking the English language as their mother's tongue. At least if said one is trying. Yes, that mistake is unnecessary, and I appreciate your thoughts on it.
