Yes, Gold Accounts are real, but right now they're just in the testing phase. That's why they seem to be assigned to random people (although as some have astutely pointed out, they are assigned to all users who have an ID ending in 0). We're just testing out the feature for bugs right now, and while the status doesn't actually do anything at the moment, we're making sure there's no site-breaking bugs with it right now. We'll be ready with a full explanation of all the features Gold Members will be able to enjoy in a few days!

Incidentally, since gold accounts were my idea, they won't be properly introduced until after April Fools day, to avoid confusion like the ownership change.

First of all, I want to clear the air right away. Yes, knighty posted this news on April Fool's Day. Yes, he made the blog post very sarcastic and humorous. All of that was just to sort of cushion the impact, if you will. Some big changes are going to be coming under my banner, and they're going to start as soon as the move is all settled and everybody is up to speed.

Yes I know knighty posted this news on April Fool's of all days, I think he thought it would lessen the blow. I'll be making a full blog update later with some of the changes that are gonna be coming out.

I would have already prepared it but as usual knighty springs things on us without telling anyone! That's one change that'll be coming out for sure.

Since I've been back from my hiatus I've been getting less PMs and comments on my page. Remember that I am always here to answer any questions I can regarding the site. This includes concerns about the site or suggestions! I promise you I read all PMs and comments I get, but I typically don't respond to all of them. I do try, though.

If you want to write it, find a more original title. The premise is not entirely objectionable, but the titles are really bumming me out because I'm trying to reduce the amount of stories on the site relating directly to "bronies" and the stories themselves seem to have almost nothing to do with bronies. To be perfectly clear: these kinds of stories are still allowed, but the titles need to be changed.

Note that as usual this does not apply retroactively to stories already on the site. If you already wrote one you are fine, but new stories submitted need to change their titles or else.

Hey guys, quick warning before you read this post: it has nothing to do with the site! It's not news! However, I have a request that can really only be fulfilled by asking quite a large group of people, and hardly anyone reads my tumblr or blog posts, so I'm going to abuse my power a little bit.
