Wow...almost a month and a half since the last chapter update. That's bad. I mean, really, that's just annoying to see when physically written on a screen. But while the chapter is getting pretty near completion, a mixture of things have happened to stop it being released. The main thing is actually life getting in the way, pesky beggar that it is. An influx of University work and grown up problems to deal with got in the way of Barbossa and his new...uh, friends, didn't help either, so sadly to say, the honourable captain wasn't on the top of my list for a wee while.

Then I got the chapter finished, or so I though, until my good proof readers pointed out some flaws that really needed seeing to, most of which were likely made due to me being a bit panicked and trying to do too much at one time, in the chapter and real life.

So in the end, I'm just trying to confirm that the chapter will be coming, and the story is not going to be dropped any time soon. The story has been more or less planned out, and at least four more drafted chapters are biding their time in my laptop, with more still coming after them. And sorry for the long wait between the last chapter and the newest one, but it is coming!

The next chapter is basically 98% complete, and will be given to my proof readers within the next few days. The chapter that was meant to be fourteen, when read back, was a bit slapdash, so I rewrote it to a higher standard. Same plot, but I just...didn't think it was up to scratch, so to speak.

But fear not, the next chapter will be out soon.

On a not completely unrelated topic, Discord, if you've seen the newest episode, which I really enjoyed, is no longer evil...for the most part. I just want to point out that the upcoming chapters were written prior to Discord's new found life style, and I won't be changing the route I'm taking with him to accommodate cannon. Does that make this story an AU fic, or just written before cannon?

I also look forward to the influx of Discord stories where he isn't evil from the get go, and the eventual shipping stories that will be written with him living a free life. But the fact remains that chapter fourteen will be released soon.
