AHH! I Poked Out Words Today! · 9:15pm
My fingers, they hurt from poking out the words...
After a teacher's Hell week of interim grades, Spirit Week, planbook checks, final creation deadlines, and dressing up as the Doctor for Nerd Day while using black eyeliner to add more Silence tally marks in between my classes, I finally got a day to sit down and write today.
And I did. 7,000 words of it.
Doctor Whooves House of Daring is done. The chapter I am most paranoid about in all of my writing career is polished off, and having sent it off to some pre-readers I am terrified. If there's any of the usual posse I forgot willing to give it a Google Docs once over, send a tell. Expect it up once the pre-readers reduce me to a self-correcting wreck.
In other news, Granny Disapproves is an amazingly fun little tale with insightful things to say about our writing community. It got me to outline a one-shot adventure with Granny Smith and Queen Chrysalis, so when that happens you know who to blame. Seriously, what other neat ways can YOU think of to write about Granny Smith? Give it a try!
Oh, and "Doctor Whooves and the Knave of Cups" fans? I'm going back to the outline to finish up, but until them there's a nice surprise waiting for you in the fourth chapter of House of Daring...

Sweet, thanks!
The ending was epic, by the way. More fics need montages and ending credits.

I would be honored to have my references spread. You have my blessing for wherever you'd like to go with it.
Having just finished Ch 5 of School Daze, I can't help but wonder if there would be any issue of my using Dr. Ocsid's brand of chaotic drinks elsewhere. If not, does he specialise in chocolate milk or would there be an issue of the release of another line?
Wonderful tale thus far. Can't wait to see it through and check out your other works.

"Ditzy Doo's husband (formerly known as “the Doctor,” “the Oncoming Storm,” and “The Lord of the Beepy Thing” and now known as "John Smith" through a gross misunderstanding of pony naming conventions) always thought the record player hated him."
>>486159 haven't read that one yet so while that does make sense it still feels off. But it does give me a reason to read the others. Thank you for the reply.

In "Three Whooves," it's mentioned that the Doctor is terrible at pony names. Dinky asks him if Smith means he's a blacksmith. Ditzy reminds him that its better than his first choice: Ford Prefect.
Perhaps I'll add a line to that effect.
I just finished reading Doctor Whooves and the House of Daring, not knowing it was a sequel, and while I enjoyed the story quite a bit there is one thing that kind of made for a stumbling block in reading it and wanting to read the other. Why did you go with John Smith as a civilian name for the doctor when clockwork or time turner would have worked just as well if not better, seeing what his civilian job is(especially clockwork). Please don't take this as I'm bashing on your work in anyway as I did enjoy it a lot. I just want to know why that name was chosen.
Thanks for the follow! I should have some new stuff up...soonish. I'm (against my better judgement) writing three stories, so I hope to have something new up in a week or two.
