Despite my resettlement back home, job search, disc golfing most the afternoon and playing League of Legends/watching anime until about midnight (god, is it sad that I can sum up my entire day/week/life into one sentence like that? anyways) there is a new chapter in the works. However, I am pulled between two options for this next chapter. I can either;
A) Have Vinyl and Octavia split up to go to their respective places (i.e. Vinyl will start traveling to Octavia's scheduled tryouts and Octavia will begin preparing for the gig Vinyl has set up in a few day's time) without them spending more time together. This will get the plot moving towards the story's conclusion a bit quicker, and will make several events happen later, including the eventual shipping of the two. With this option, they will spend more time together and deepen their relationship after they have gone through the other's routine and therefore have a greater understanding between each other. This will put Octavia's revelation ahead of Vinyl's (though Octavia's will be indirectly revealed, while Vinyl's will be more directly revealed when she feels she can trust Octavia more).
Or
B) Spend the next chapter deepening the relationship between them. When I say that, I do not mean that I'm going to immediately ship them in one chapter. I mean, c'mon, realizing one's feelings takes time am I right? What I mean is I will have them spend the day together and push back their respective splitting for the chapter afterwards. This option will bring a deeper relationship between the two that they will reflect on while they are apart. It will also put Vinyl's revelation ahead of Octavia's. This option breaks the shipping into two parts, one occurring before they split up, and then the second part when they are re-united. This option may lead to self-doubt about their feelings for one another, which I believe will also extend the story maybe by a short chapter.
Keep in mind, I can write both of these if I wanted to, but I can't write both. You may be asking "why don't you pick one yourself, bro?" And my response to that is; I can't. I honestly can't decide which I want to write more, and this isn't something you leave to the mere flip of a coin. Which is why I'm asking you, the people I'm writing for, which you would honestly prefer. After all, I aim to please. I will be leaving this up (by this, I mean the chapter post that brought you all here, sorry for the false alarm by the way) up for one week and I will decide what to write based on the feedback.
So please, comment below on if you would prefer option A or option B, and if you want to leave a comment explaining why then feel free. You all know I read comments all the time and generally reply to quite a few, so rest assured you will be heard (er, read I guess is the case). However, unlike normal, I will be withholding my own comments until one week from today (May 25, 2013) when I announce which path will be taken. I look forward to what I will be writing soon, and as always I love you all.
Edit: People have been saying that them spending more time together (option B) would make more sense because they would have more time to learn to be one another. My only response to that is this: c'mon, you know me better than that. They're going to do that regardless of which path that is chosen, so this choice is more along the lines of more romance vs more story plot I guess would be the best I could come up with. I dunno, it made sense in my head. Anyways, they're going to have enough learning time for each other regardless of the path, so keep that in mind is all I'm saying.
Signing off,
Josh (OneTrickPon3)
