No problem, and a tip for "going somewhere" with the plot of a story, think it out before you write it out.
Think about the ending of your story before you even start, once you have the end you can think about the beginning, then think about the key events that lead to the end. From there you can write as you wish.
Example: "The story ends with the MC learning the truth about his eye, the story begins with the MC either knowing nothing about or always questioning his eye, some of the events that lead up to it would be the MC's eye acting weird, people giving notice, hearing whispers about himself etc.
From there you write his personality and life, and the events should change the character bit by bit as the story goes along until he reaches how he should be.
