Delays in Chapter Three · 4:47am
Those who have been wondering 'Where's Chapter three?', I can assure you it is on its way. However, I've been sending my chapters to a few reviewers to improve flow, mechanics, grammer, etc. Just a few hours ago, I got my first chapter back from my second reviewer. Apparently the first reviewer was lazy and missed ALOT. The second review found many mistakes, and has given me lots of information on how to improve my writing.
For the next few days I'm going to hail ass and revise, rework, and potentially, rewrite my first two chapters. Some certain aspects will change, and information will be taken out. Re-reading my be a good idea, but not required. I'll post the revised versions of the chapters in the New Year.
Also, since it's been over a month since the last chapter, I feel that an explanation is needed. During the last weeks of November, and the following weeks in December, I experienced an overload of final assignments, essays, and exams. Sadly, I found no time to write Chapter Three. Only after my final exam on December the 19th did I find time to write a good portion of Chapter Three, then this review came back for Chapters one and two. Great more delays. I'm hoping to revise Chapter One and Two, self-edit Chapter Three and get a review to look that over before posting it. I feel I should only post perfection, rather then a piece of crap full of mistakes. I apologize for that.
So I pray that you will be patient with me, as this learning experience is a long and frustrating one. And It doesn't help when both reviewers say two completely different things about a grammer mistake.
They both are suggesting getting rid of a good portion of information dumps that I wrote, like the backstory between Stalwart and Accord, and even the backstory of Zohra. I was wondering what you thought about it, and if you think the story would flow better if it were either: broken apart and weaved into the story, or taken out entirely (leaving certain aspects in the story), or leave it as it is.
I'm sorry about the delay, and I'll try to work at improving my writing. I appreciate any and all feedback. Thank you.
