If you're interested, I'm participating in a group RP-combat project called the Unity Games, organized by Razorbeam. If you like my writing, especially my fight scenes, take a look at my latest battle. I'm using a completely new OC (my first pony OC, I might add), and you may find his story interesting. Other than that, these battles are just fun to read and imagine, so check out some others in the forum! That is all.

    Plans and Question · 6:52am

This post has been a long time coming, and I'm just now getting around to it. My first order of business: I must apologize for extremely infrequent updates. The back end of my summer was murderously busy, and going into junior year hasn't been a cakewalk. I hardly have the time (or energy) to write like I did at first, in addition to the fact that I'm juggling several stories at once. That brings me to my second order of business: messages for followers of all my incomplete stories.

The Lunar Apprentice: This story is #1 on my priority list, so I'm aiming to get more updates to you ASAP. I will most likely alternate between this and World-Jumper until A Chaotic New World is finished, then focus all my work on this story until I've finished it.

World-Jumper: I hate to leave you in the middle of a (mini)story, so like I said above, I will be alternating between this and Lunar Apprentice until A Chaotic New World is finished. After I take care of Lunar Apprentice, I'll try and make some real progress on Quarantine Archive, then come back to this for a shorter ministory.

Deadliest Pony: Once I finish the above-mentioned projects, I'll write another battle, then most likely go to the finale, though I may write one more for good measure.

Quarantine Archive: You have not been forgotten! Once Lunar Apprentice and A Chaotic New World are taken care of, I'm going right back to work on this!

Dashed Trust: Those of you looking out for my sequel based on the alternate ending, it's a ways off, but I still have it in the works.

I assure you, none of my stories have been forgotten about. But as always, I promise nothing! Now, third order of business: I'm looking for a place to let my pony-related lyric-rewriting skills out. Not composing new music, mind you, just a place to post rewritten lyrics. Anybrony know of a good place to do that? Thanks, NightmareDash out.

    Hay-ters gonna hate · 12:24am

Public service announcement: I've noticed that a lot of recent fics have been getting more dislikes than normal (including my latest two), and it just makes me wonder. I thought summer was supposed to be the time when we're all at least somewhat more relaxed and in better moods, but apparently not! I know some stories are just so bad that they deserve it, but here's the thing: what does the author take out of it? All a thumbs-down says is "I don't like this fic". No "I don't like this fic because...". Just unexplained (and possibly unjustified) meanness. Maybe that's why Facebook doesn't have a dislike button. But next time you want to dislike something, wait a second. Why do you dislike it? Is it anything beyond you just don't like the idea? If it is, the author would probably like to hear it! I next-to-never dislike fics, because it doesn't help the author at all.

Remember, bronies: constructive criticism is always better than blatant dislike.

    Irony · 5:01pm

So, I saw that Dashed Trust, my very first FiMfic, has been getting a lot of faves lately, so naturally I look at its stats. What do I see? It's been reposted on another MLP:FiM fanfic site. I follow the link, and find both the guy who posted it and another troll (who I've blocked here already) bashing it incessantly. So why do I post this with joy? Simple.

Irony: Someone reposts my fic in another place to bash it, but ends up making it even more popular.

So, the lesson here is easy. Don't fight the trolls, because most of the time they can shoot themselves in the foot without any help at all.

Hello, everybrony, it's NightmareDash. And you may have noted that I changed my name from alphateam7911. I just didn't think my old name was brony enough, nothing to worry about. But I do have a real problem: right now, I have three FiMfics in progress now. I'm working on a battle to conclude the first episode of Deadliest Pony, but after that I'm at a loss. What should I work on first? To help, here's a summary of each story:

Deadliest Pony: Based off the show, I pick two characters of approximately equal skill level, analyze their abilities and weaknesses, then pit them against each other in battle. And Discord's hosting it all as a sick game show, where the losers don't actually die, but everypony thinks they do. Continuing this would mean another episode (analysis and battle)

The World-Jumper: Jack West, arguably the best assassin, mercenary, and inventor in the world, breaks the dimensional barrier while experimenting with dangerous technology. Several years later, he's been transported to Equestria accidently, and forms a friendship with Rainbow Dash, the Mane 6, and the princesses. Having dealt with both the Mare-Do-Well situation and an interdimensional phenomenon threatening both worlds, he comes back to Equestria with his full arsenal of tech, hoping to change his image from a villain on Earth to an Equestrian hero. An HiE with a human OC, but no other humans or OCs. Continuing this would mean another ministory.

The Lunar Apprentice: Manipulated by Discord before he was resealed, Princess Luna returns to her Nightmare Moon persona and begins preparing another revolt against  Celestia. This time, she plans to use an entire force of Lunar Guards and Shadowbolts to conquer Equestria. Her army will be commanded by her new apprentice: Rainbow Dash. Continuing this would mean further developing the plot (unlike the other two, it's a single story)

Comment your choice, and I will judge public opinion by the comments. After I finish the battle for Deadliest Pony, I will then proceed with whichever story has the most support.

Who's first? Who's next? You decide! Epic Short Stories of NightmareDash!
