Well, it's done.

What happens in Ponyville is up to you.  She could settle as a hermit, go on a rampage or simply drift apart.  Or, against all odds, be best buds with her former friends again.

I've been entertaining ideas for a sequel of MS:S.

Things I know for sure:

Setting:

This will be set in the period when the Equis Accord is getting their feet wet in the galaxy - like the humans just after the First Contact War.

It will feature 1 (canon) character from the games.

It will feature totally new OCs.  And an all OC cast. Or mostly OC cast.

Problem is, I don't know what to write ABOUT.

So, ideas about situations? Plot devices? What they will be doing and why?

A story about mercenaries.

Outcast Company

If you've read Salvage (post chapter 11) or Schemering, you should know the general tone.  It will be quite gritty.

Any tips on writing Trixie?  And Lightning Dust, for that matter?

Be warned. This will be a tragic story.

Still, it's something I don't really have experience with, so if any of y'all would like to help a writer, clickie the linkie and have fun.

Since university is starting (and I'm expected to work 40-50 hours a week), I won't be able to update as constantly as I'd like on A Truth So Strange. Mass Effect: Salvage has already been pre-written in its entirety, so you can expect regular updates to that.

As for a progress report: about 3000 words of Chapter 2 have been written for Truth.

I'm a bit on the fence about this.

The Manticore scene is one of those that, I think, qualify for the Mature rating.

There'll be:

Depictions of shotgun wounds to flesh;

Cutting throats with bayonets, knives;

Cannibalism (just one short mention);

Depictions of creatures burning alive;

Rifle wounds.

So, opinions? Should I switch to Mature?

Look for errors in the following areas:

Hyphen/dash use

Comma use

Compound word hyphenation

Incorrect word use (it instead of in)

Semicolon use

There's a lot of awkward phrasing here, occasionally making the setting unclear.

A big issue here is that there isn't so much a story here as an attempt to make the changelings seem more sympathetic. If this were constrained more of an actual story, I'd be more okay with this.

This is the story's first strike out of a possible three.
