One day, Spike finally gets the courage together to ask Rarity out. When he finally goes to ask her, he sees something in the window that quickly shoots down that entire idea. After it happens, and he's trying to move on from the disappointment.

Rainbow Dash is there to help him out.

Spike knows that his good friend will always be there for him.

That's all she is, right?

Hello, my name is Quick Strike, and my job is to protect Princess Celestia. When I say that, a lot of ponies laugh. They all wonder one question, as I assume you're doing right now.

Why does Celestia need to be protected?

She is the mighty ruler of the land, able to take care of anything. That doesn't mean that she should be put in the situation to have to. It is my duty to make sure that she doesn't have to hurt anyone.

And maybe, if this letter is any indication, sometimes my duty is to protect her from her greatest fears...

After Ponyville, nothing good comes of Trixie's career. The life of a showmare is hardly easy, and at the smallest mistake they can be thrown aside. This is what has happened to her, the mistake being one that could have cost plenty of ponies their lives. Now that she has been cast aside as well, as casualty of her own problems, it is time for her to find a way to change the thing that she has referred to as a minor setback.

It had been a long, weird, night. Twilight Sparkle had a dream about being turned down by Rainbow Dash. That didn't make any sense, she didn't love her cyan friend.

That thought being pushed out of her mind, Twilight starts through her day. It seems as though there's something off about her, though.
