So Operation Rainbows, Roots, and Roadtrips has come into full swing, and we’ve gotten two episodes completed under our belt. From the SD3 YouTube Channel, we have Episode Eight featuring Glaze, Speedcore Dave!, Stars in Autumn, and one of my critics, MrAlbum321 to chat about the State of Music Today!

Yesterday, even though there were technical issues and recording issues, we had a fun episode featuring DJ EHT, Cyril the Wolf, BronyMike, and BluNoseReindeer where we (they more than I) chatted about the Con Life and Performances. This two-part episode (found Here and Here, respectively) was random, fun, but also educational for you upstarting musicians!

Our next episode on Wednesday, May 22nd, we’ll be inviting the Musiquestria team to share their thoughts with us about their Tour, why they’re doing it, if they’ll do more projects like this, among other fun things to discuss.

Be sure to catch this episode live on our LiveStream Channel at 6PM EST. If you miss it though, head to our YouTube Channel to check out the episode(s) on our On Demand Podcast for your viewing pleasure! After that, come check us out on Saturday, May 25th at 6PM EST when we chat with some folks working on the Rainbow & Rooted Album such as Lavender Harmony and Stormwolf!

Also, help spread the word! We’re doing our best to help out the Musiquestria Tour and the Rainbow & Rooted become a success, and you should too!

Thanks for reading, and hope to see you next time Stableside!

So we had a mildly fun episode today featuring EHT, Cyril the Wolf, BronyMike and BluNoseReindeer. Wanna check it out and hopefully support Musiquestria and Rainbow & Rooted? Check out the episode below:

    -------------------------------------------------------

On a more personal note, the campaign isn't going well. At all. We've had less than 20 viewers and it's a chore to get the musicians together to talk on the show. Some of them act like they don't even care that their projects aren't getting any funds that they *need* to do their shit.

Yeah, bad day, bad weekend, same difference. I'm frustrated.

    That is all.

Okay, so I'm a little disheartened and disappointed. We had Glaze, Speedcore Dave, Stars in Autumn and MrAlbum321 join us on our podcast, but we only got less than 20 viewers throughout the entire episode.

    -sigh-

I'm already seeing this campaign start to flop already.

Anyway, here's Episode Eight of SD3 and Day One of Operation Rainbows, Roots, and Roadtrips:

I'm here with a massive, huge, awesome announcement for you guys, one that I'm sure none of you will want to miss.

For those who've been tuning into the show, you know that we've been getting some awesome guests to pop on just to share their opinions on things. We've had Cyril, Zedrin, Veggie, and Cold in Gardez pop by to talk about the grand issue of Underappreciated Content Creators, and our last episode featured Digibrony, BronyCurious, and the AnY Pony to share stuff about Thorough Analysis on our beloved pony show, and then some!

Today, I'm thrilled to announce "Operation Rainbows, Roots, and Roadtrips," a special ad campaign hosted by SD3 for the upcoming successor to the popular Balloon Party album, "Rainbow & Rooted," and the "Musicquestria Tour," a cross-country tour with musicians including Mic the Microphone, Silva Hound, Poni1Kenobi, and more!

To celebrate these big events in our brony fandom, we're hosting not one, not two, but FIVE episodes of SD3 this Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, and the following weekend. That's right; we're gonna be stepping outside our usual air date and working overtime for this massive event. We're going to be including special guests with each episode of the Operation including many of the talented musicians, and heads of the Album and Tour projects themselves to share with us their thoughts.

Now here's the bits where you come in. You're more than welcome to join in on the fun and watch the show, but truth of the matter is that the Brony Musicians need your help! SD3 is hosting this special so that we can raise awareness for the Rainbow & Rooted album, (an album dedicated to raising funds so that the many awesome musicians can perform at BronyCon this year), and the Musicquestria Tour which need donations to make the Tour a reality!

Want some more info on the Album and the Tour? We got you covered!

Click here to view the EqD Post on Rainbow & Rooted, including Donation and Info links.

Click here to check out the official page for the Musicquestria Tour, including musicians involved, prizes you can get for donating, and the tour route

I hope you guys are as excited as I am. I personally am gonna be going all out to make this campaign a success and get these guys to BronyCon and on their Tour!

How can you help (apart from donating to a worthy cause)? Simple! Just spread the word!

Tell your friends! Tell your family! Tell some complete strangers! Tell your dog (or whatever other pet you have)! We'll need everyone we can get to come and check out the special episodes and show some love to our talented and hard-working musicians in accomplishing their hopes and dreams.

So that's the scoop! Unfortunately I can't quite say who will be on what day just yet, I'm currently working with the crew for both projects to figure out our panelists as I write this post. Don't worry though! You'll be notified who will be appearing (if you're not tuning into our Official {SD3} Program Guide) here in the forums. Here's what I can tell you though:

We'll be hosting episodes on the following Dates and Times for this campaign:

-Saturday, May 18th at 6PM EST

-Sunday, May 19th at 9PM EST

-Wednesday, May 22nd at 6PM EST

-Saturday, May 25th at 6PM EST

-Sunday, May 26th at 9PM EST

As for topics, we're going to be talking about all things Music, including the State of Music Today, Cons and Performances, as well as Rainbow & Rooted and the Tour themselves. We may also wrap up each episode with a Q&A footnote from our viewers.

That's the big announcement I have for you guys, so stay tuned right here in the forums (or perhaps even this thread and watch for this section to be updated) for attendees of the panel.

Oh and one last thing, Operation Rainbows, Roots, and Roadtrips may include other big events from other people hoping to make both the Album and the Tour a success, which may include fanwork, interviews, livestreams, or anything else to help Rainbow & Rooted and Musiquestria a success!

Thanks for reading, and I can't wait to get started! See you next time Stableside!

Oooooookay, so here's my day. I got up, came online, read a long-winded and drawn out article about video game writing, which included much rambling, then my folks got home for us to discuss my College stuff with the college I wanna go to. It was also long and drawn-out but at least it was informative and helping us figure out my situation and whether or not I'll be going.

Then right at the tail-end when we're basically done and checking something, I got a Skype call from out of NOWHERE from AnYPony and a few of his panelists, and they ask me if I'd like to join them this weekend to discuss the influence of stories like Rainbow Factory and Cupcakes.

Wow. Talk about random, out of the blue awesomeness, being reinvited to a podcast.

So yeah, that's all I wanted to say. Keep an eye out for me this Sunday at 1PM EST on AnY Pony's show, Cerpascular Bronies Discuss!

So I've had a really strange and interesting couple of weeks.

First of all, I was invited to join the awesome AnY Pony over on YouTube, a german fella who does some hilarious and intriguing Thorough Analysis videos of the MLP episodes, and he hosts a podcast called "Cerpascular Bronies Discuss," which he invited me to.

This is the episode I was featured in:

The following week I started playing a fair bit of Resident Evil 6 on the PC, and for whatever reason I was possessed with the need to make some overcomprehensive and detailed Guide with Steam's recent Guide feature. I spent the first day writing for 8 hours straight until my wrist started to cramp up, then spent about 6-7 more days working on it. After that short period of time and tons of work? It's got a 4/5-star rating, and over 800 views as of the time this blog was written.

Click here to check the Guide out!

I dunno 'bout you but I think that's quite silly. =P

Shortly after starting this guide came Episode Four of the Round Stable, featuring some fantastic guests Cyril the Wolf from the music department, Zedrin from SillyFillyStudios, the makers of the recent smash hit Snowdrop, Cold in Gardez straight here from FIMFiction, and Irish comic artist Veggie55 to discuss Underappreciated Content Creators.

Here's the episode from the show, though forgive my crappy mic quality. Still been trying to fine tune the darn thing, since it uses a webcam mic and all:

Beyond that, we got some new critics in The Equestrian Critics Society doing a bang-up job with the team and it's really starting to grow and take shape, even get noticed by various authors and FIMFiction mods (thanks again for the watch Wanderer D!), I've been working together with admujica on starting the Golden Quill Awards that's been mentioned several times in my group's forums, Blankscape surprised me a couple weeks ago for picking TECS's first "Fic of the Month" to be my story, The Price of Loyalty, which was nice, and lastly, I've been asked to help out other groups with some stuff, but I won't go into detail on this to respect those folks' privacy.

So yeah, things are interesting and I'm kinda happy about it. I just wish a lot of stress and drama would get off my back in the real world and on top of some of my "friends" (namely of the brony musician variety) causing me a great deal of turmoil and misery whenever they can, and stuff's been happening to my real life friend Tyler involving court things.

Just a mix of bad with the good I suppose, but I felt like mostly reporting the good today.

That all said, thanks for reading guys!

Now to get back to my guide and some more RE6...

Hey there my awesome viewers! M1SF0RTUNE here with a brief but fun announcement!

A few weeks ago I did an episode of The Round Stable about Season 3 and Season 4 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. In that episode I made a lot of comments and mentions of a particular fellow who goes by the name of AnY Pony. He's a german bloke with a funny accent but he's wonderful fun to watch in his reviews on episodes of the show. You should really go check him out, he's got some fantastic, in-depth material and he's very entertaining!

Anywho, here's the fun news. AnY Pony recently just invited me to join an episode of his podcast, Crepuscular Bronies Discuss, which will be airing today at 1:00PM EST (basically half an hour from now at the time this blog was written). We'll be discussing "The Most Effective Traits of our Antagonists" on the podcast. Below is a trailer for the episode:

Interested in joining us to watch the show? We'll be on livestream on AnY Pony's channel below:

    http://www.livestream.com/anypodcast

Not able to make it? That's okay too! AnY posts his episodes on his YouTube channel so you can check it out there, or I'll write a new blog featuring the episode so you can have access to it in a snap!

Anyway, I do hope you guys will wanna come join, the poor guy could use some more viewers on his stream!

Thanks guys, and I can't wait to see you there!

Ugh... okay, this episode isn't going to be pleasant, apart from perhaps a few "ups" I can mention amidst the pile of "downs," so here we go.

First of all, I've been stressed beyond relief. There's been a lot of things piled up on me lately and it's been making me rather cynical and taking on a very negative outlook on the world. Things ranging from my group, The Equestrian Critics Society, getting a LOT more traffic than I ever expected including more stories than all of us can handle, and I have to try and keep the group together with few admins (one of them I needed on critique duty). It's quite a bit to juggle with. Then there's trying to get into college, something I've been trying to get going for the past few weeks, cuz there's a place I wanna go to down in Florida that might lead to my dream job, but it's expensive and I don't know if I can get in, or if I can afford it, among other things. There's issues with family, my two best r/l friends getting themselves into a pinch and not doing anything with their lives which is very concerning for me, and I've been a little depressed due to friend issues here on the 'net.

The friend issues have been a particularly large problem lately though. Where I have maybe 30 people I frequently talk to, half of them include the brony musicians who are just impossible to talk to and cause me a great deal of stress as well. I have another 50-60 friends, but barely any of them talk to me or care I exist.

So yeah, in short, my "friends" have been depressing me and I'm getting sick of them, and in turn, getting sick of people in general.

I've basically had a lot on my mind and I can't seem to get that weight off my chest as much as I want to. I needed a break from TECS so I can clear my head and screw it back on straight since I feel I've been displaying poor judgment, especially considering my negative outlook on life at the moment due to everything I listed above. The problem though is I can't stop getting here on FIMFiction to see how my group's doing, or the Skype chat my admins and critics are in and seeing how well they're doing, and I keep thinking about our deadline for the cycle, which is the 1st of April (another thing added onto my stress levels), and it's driving me absolutely mad.

I keep worrying that when I come back, it'll be for damage control since I have a very nervous feeling we're gonna be behind and be completely overworked, and it'll be my fault I didn't have the hindsight to account for this.

    -sigh-

I wanted to write, disconnect myself from the world, and clear my head. I've proven incapable of doing that, and I'm a little annoyed at that. I'm not sure things will turn out well when I come back to admin duties in TECS.

In other news, I picked up some games (though I made myself darn near broke in the process, due to fairly reckless spending), most of them smaller Indie titles with one big title being Bioshock Infinite. Thought I'd play the Indie games to try and get my story on, since I could use a good video game story after piles of absolutely crap ones and really disappointing (if not abysmal) games I've been playing lately. So far, I tried one quirky little 15 minute game called "Thirty Flights of Loving," which somehow shocked me with presenting quite an interesting story in an interesting way. I finished Bioshock Infinite too and... well... the cynicist inside me says that I wasn't impressed apart from a few gameplay elements and setpiece moments, but I think it was a good game, 8/10 in my book. Haven't gotten around to the other ones yet (which include Dear Esther, To The Moon and TRAUMA, a few other Indie titles), though but I plan to.

Other things I guess that are worth mentioning is that my talk show, The Round Stable, is starting to shape up a little bit, though it still needs some work. I've been trying to come up with some ideas for topics but that's been difficult. I've been trying to arrange for special guests for that show too but once again I'd have to come up with a topic that concerns them and they're topics that can be discussed, which is a challenge. I just hope that show will pan out some more as time goes on. On one plus though, I might be invited to AnYPony's Podcast this upcoming Sunday. He's a pretty cool guy; he does analysis stuffs on the episodes and the show, among other things. Hoping that podcast will put some spirit back in my step. Speaking of broadcasts though, I may or may not have our Awards ceremony in TECS show up on the Everfree network, which will be kinda cool if it does but we'll see if that pans out or not. My inner cynic is being doubtful.

    That guy needs to GTFO. ~.~;

Soooo yeah, that's the main gist of everything worth mentioning. I'm just extremely stressed and needed to vent in this dumb little blog that nobody reads. :'D I've had a lot on my mind and I don't really have anybody to tell, so I guess that's why I'm doing this here.

I feel a little better though at least.

Anyway guys, thanks for tuning in if you've read this far, so I hope you all have a good one.

    -M.
