I thought about this, today, and I realized why writing along with the canon story sucks so bad. And the reason is...

Unfortunately, now I have to. And this is not going to end well for me. Oh well. Hopefully, the story doesn't suffer for my self-promises.

Well, I know I've been pushing the next chapter of Flare of Hope back way longer than I should have, and honestly, there's no one to blame but myself. Hopefully, I can finish this chapter soon. Then after that, it's brainstorming time.

Okay, so I haven't done a single piece of work on any of my stories. So, instead of taking the high-road and blaming it all on my laziness, I'm going to take the low-road, and blame it on Hasbro. Seriously, now I have to zip back through a half-finished chapter, and fact check everything, now that I know that Princess Cadance became the Crystal Princess, and Shining Armor is no longer the captain of the Royal guard. So, once I do that, I will officially begin finishi- Oh fuck it. I'm just lazy. I'll get to it eventually.

Well, it's been a while since I've put out a new chapter of... well... anything. So, I feel like I should explain myself. I've had a lot of things all going on at the same time. I recently made rank, so I have more responsibility at work, then financial issues on top of good old booze. So, after the next chapter of Flare of Hope, I'm going to take a little break to relax. Thank you for understanding.

This is what happens when you get bored, and have vectors. These are for Glimmer Steel, and Shimmer Blade.

First is Glimmer Steel. She's an archer with a flare for elegance that is reflected in the engraving of her armor.

Then comes Shimmer Blade. She's a swordsmare who doesn't believe in flashy armors, but prefers tactically useful design.

The update is that there is no update... ever... okay, maybe one. It's been a nice, long run, and unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end. Which it already has. The last posted chapter will be considered the finale of the Deep Bass saga, however, I do believe I've done something ingenious. If you REALLY REALLY REALLY want to know how the story ends... read Flare of Hope. You'll find out. :D On the plus-side, there will be a bonus chapter for BSaBPM, which will be titled "Meanwhile, In Manehattan," which will star everypony's favorite doublemare couple... Treble and Octavia. Brace yourself for funny, and tons of Trebleswag.

I am currently in the process of writing the next chapter of FoH, as well as starting my own Winningverse fic, "Field Notes of a Winning Bug Collector." If you don't know what this one's about, just wait till I finish the first couple of chapters.

I go out to sea for 8 days, and all my favorite stories update! I don't think I have enough time to read all these updates. I would make a "Why can't I read all these updates" meme, but I suck at photoshop.

Now, on the subject of my most recent chapter of Flare of Hope, I'm sorry about the ending, but if I didn't end it somehow, I would still be writing it. Honestly, I had a new plot device to move onto. I'm reintroducing a few old characters for the chapter.

Okay, so I've introduced two new characters, one of them obviously evil. I'm pretty sure anyone with half a brain knows who the other is.  Well, I've ALREADY thought of a great joke for a later chapter.  Now, the real reason I'm posting this is so I can remember the joke when its time comes.

"So, we're supposed to be some awesome force of evil slaying?"the The pegasus was practically beaming in joy, upon hearing this.

"Well, that's what all the prophecies say."

Flare piped up from his pillow, his own enthusiasm matching Breaker's. "That's pretty cool! We're like the Justice League!"

"Dude. Everybody knows that Marvel is better than D.C."

"Fine. Then we're like the Avengers!"

The pegasus could hardly contain himself, and lifted off, kicking off of the cieling. "Yeah! We gotta come up with a cool name! OH! I KNOW! How about Deadly Force!"

"That's awesome!" Flare cleared his throat, and took on a movie narrator voice, as Skybreaker began mimicing the theme of a generic action movie. "In a world, where even peace has a weakness, three ponies will do what nopony else is willing to. They are... Deadly Force! Where Harmony fails..."

As if on cue, both stallion chimed "Deadly Force is authorized!" This was followed by a synchronized mid-air high hoof. "Hell yeah!"

Both mares in the room simultaneously facehoofed, groaned, and looked at each other.

The pegasus mare spoke first, as she looked at the unicorn. "Are they always like this?"

"No,"the Star replied, which was met by a premature sigh of relief from Cloudchaser. She looked up at the two stallions who were now fake kung fu fighting, while making crazy noises, and instantly slams her face into her pillow. "No, they're normally like THIS."

Well, I never thought I'd have to do this, but I just scrapped an update because of the word count. I'm sorry, but after how long you've waited, I can't give you a 675 word chapter. I don't havw the heart to screw you guys like that. So, the update's gonna have to wait.

Well, by now, I'm sure a lot of you think I fell off a cliff. I'm sure some of you wish I really did fall off a cliff. Well, luckily, there are no cliffs worth falling off of in Coastal East Texas. If you've been wondering "WHERE ARE THE FUCKIN UPDATES?!"and well, I have one thing to say... BITCH I BEEN ON VACATION! In all seriousness, I've been home on leave, and I haven't done a damn thing. I DID, however, manage to finish the newest chapter of Flare of Hope, and will have it posted when the stories page stops erroring in and around my mouth and all over my face every time I try to get to my stories to update it. After that, I'll either be driving or asleep, listening to Tut Tut Child, while my copilot drives. Watch for that update. And remember. Celestia loves you, but would she post a naked picture of herself on Fimfiction for you? Cuz I would.
