The Holocaust.

Quite a ratio of likes to dislikes, only 11:5 which is quite high on the red side. No matter to me, I do enjoy the way I wrote this. The style of fast-paced speaking and few stops in large, descriptive run-ons is one I adapted into writing from poet Shane Koyczan, who I'll link in just a sec. If you were to put my narrative into spoken word, it would sound like he talks.

The "passive-insane" and angry way I wrote Celestia was exactly as I wanted her to feel. Helpless, and pissed off that she was so. Humbled even. Luna plays the role that I see most stories have Celestia play when Luna acts out like this. As for my opinion on pone-immortality? Not sure. Don't really care. It was just a story idea at the time and it doesn't really even reflect my head-canon.

        Luna flicked her tail in irritation as the annoying swarm of dragonflies danced about the swamp, landing on and jumping off from her body. Though the musty smell of decay hung low to the ground, Luna was smarter than to be consumed by the atmosphere of the place. She inhaled deeply, blowing air out of her nose like an enraged bull. Luna spread her amber wings as she became even more restless, igniting the air around her in brilliant flames with an intimidating flap.

        You act with little forethought, Yue.

        "My name," Luna began, her horn sparking with energy. "Is Luna."

        One's name said fickle yet defended in earnest...

        "I have no time for your word games!" Luna shouted in frustration. "For all your wisdom has given me, you've done nothing but make things worse! Where is your help now? What part do I even play in all of this?"

At 00:40 EST this morning, Libertarian Senator Rand Paul finished his thirteen hour filibuster against President Barack Obama's newest executive order, demanding that Attorney General Eric Holder speak on the matter. I think we all are aware of the situation at hand by now, but President Obama has given himself the authority to use unmanned drones to fire missiles upon U.S. Citizens with no restrictions whatsoever. When asked what he planned to use this for, Obama had no comment on the matter. About half an hour ago, Holder said that Obama does not have this power; however, he intends to use it anyways.

I refuse to let this happen. Like night and day, freedom cannot exist alongside terror. They are exact opposites, you arrogant tool. How dare you do exactly what it's your job to prevent. You cannot sit there and pass innocent people off as "collateral damage should they be within blast range of a target," [via: Obama]. Did you wake up and forget who you exist for?

This is wrong. This is so, so wrong. This was not supposed to be how things work. I have always been a Democrat, but right now, political parties don't matter for shit. Neither does it matter if you live in the U.S. or not, because when the single most powerful man in the world is willing to pick off his own blood, you'd better believe he won't give a half fuck about yours.

The question that comes from this is horrifying: what next? We start invading and occupying territory? We activate Marshal Law? We rip up history and the constitution along with it? No. No, fuck that. This isn't only grounds for impeachment, this is grounds for revolution. This is grounds for civil war, and I know exactly what side I'll be standing on, Mr. President.

Everyone, EVERYONE, no matter where you live or who you are, you need to speak about this. You need to make sure everyone around you knows. You need to make sure everyone is doing something, because if we don't, allowing this will lead to a world in ruins.
