Hey all, I have some news, of the aforementioned good and bad kind.

Last week or so, I've been putting together a real plot for Steelboy, taking notes and finding reference material, and for the most part it shaped up well.  I've got the bulk of it hashed out, so in theory I should have had something for you today.

Unfortunately, like all things in my life, that plan has effectively fallen apart.  After writing some fifteen or so pages of material, I had thought to take some time editing and cleaning after getting some sleep last night.  In all of my brilliance, I did not save the piece.  That same night, Microsoft decided to pump my computer full of lovely updates, forcing it to restart against my wishes and effectively causing me to lose all of that material.  Because I didn't save any of it, I had to rely on Openoffice's recovery program to get my work back, only to discover that it had not saved any of the stuff I had wrote, barring one singular sentence made up of five or so words.

So... it means I'm going to have to rewrite it all.  Given that I have two long days of work ahead of me, and that I don't know next week's schedule, it may be a delay before I actually have something to post.  I'm shooting for a longer, better chapter by next Friday, so please bear with me.

If nothing else, this little mishap has retaught me the invaluable lesson of always save your work.  Often.  And in triplicate.
