Well here's to not working on fics for an extended period of time. To get myself back into the swing of writing I promised myself that I would release a fic when three of my stories hit a thousand views. Seeing as I tend to jump around between stories a lot and never actually get one done, I'm releasing an old clopfic that I've had sitting around with the first chapter done. Hopefully this is enough motivation for me to continue some of my longer fics.

It's also been awhile since I've commented on my stories so here's all the ones I've missed:

Breeding Grounds has been wrapped up with a kind of hurried ending that I was never completely satisfied with but had to get out there. The storyline itself kind of got away from me and I went on to plan two other fics based off of it but I don't know if I'll ever have the time to get around to writing them. Maybe. We'll see.

The Magic of Night was a fic I wrote on a whim after seeing Daughter-of-Fantasy's "Dear Princess Luna". It was such an interesting idea with Trixie taking on the role of a student under Princess Luna as a parallel of Twilight and Celestia. I also couldn't resist writing about a a teddybear-sized ursa minor.

The Mare in the Dark I wrote for a Nightmare Night contest. I never seem to do well in contests but then I've never been good about working under deadlines. There's a full reading of it up on youtube here. Big thanks to the Living Library Players for that.

Just How It Is was my attempt at trying something different and turning the norm around. I'm sure at least a couple people enjoyed it. I was surprised to find that people found it funny instead of sad. That probably comes with such a short length though.

A Sleight of Existence came out much faster than I expected. The idea was based off of a much longer fic that I had originally intended on writing but decided to cut it down to less than 5000 words. The premise is a futuristic timeline where Twilight and Trixie discovered they were alicorn sisters after the passing of Luna and Celestia. However, their newfound power quickly went to their heads and they abandoned their friends and alienated Equestria. The remaining Mane Six banded together as a rebellion force against the sisters and were eventually captured. Rainbow Dash spent her years in solitary confinement while Spike and Rarity had just recently been captured. Applejack and Pinkie Pie gave themselves up and were rewarded by becoming the alicorns' personal chefs. Fluttershy... well Fluttershy wasn't heard from again. If you need a hint for the ending (since I kept it unclear on purpose): Twilight read Starswirl the Bearded's log on Chaos Theory before she realized that he had become a villain - a certain villain that stood frozen outside in the royal garden as a statue (Pre-season 3).

Control Freaks is my newest clopfic about the background ponies and their adventures with losing control. Fun!
