These are my top favourites. I have no bias for any of these stories, they're simply the best ones I've come across in the time I've been on this site. Heck, the first one introduced me to Bronydom in the first place, and the second keeps me here. If anything though, I'd have to say 'Diaries of a Madman' isn't what totally convinced me to turn Brony. That's all 'A Cog in the Machine's fault. It's been well written, astute, and it's been lovingly crafted if not the most common updater. *************************************************************************** Ten Years Gone...Now there's a story. Like 'Hail to the King' it has a great premise, and I long to see what comes next. While it doesn't entirely focus on the graphic natures of what makes a good GB story, which is something I'll talk about later, it does hold true to it's ideas, format and writing style...The nervous Kaz get's stopped at every corner for interesting shenanigans and cool insight into the inner workings of 'her' mind. While this is great, if the writer manages to hold the interests of their readers until it's done, they'll be a really special person, to look after long since 'Ten Years Gone' is...well...ten years gone. ********************************************************************************** 'A [Fe]Male Perspective of Equestria'. There's really not much to say here, like 'Ten Years Gone' it's a GB HUMAN story. Unlike the former, [Fe]Male is more mature, having shameless clop and sex scenes to make things awkward. It ties it's clop so well into the storyline, it's almost a part of it. This doesn't make me a clopper, but it's always been interesting to me to see actual storyline take place in sex scenes. This story does it astoundlingly well. ************************************************************************** Our Final Story, 'Foal Necromancer', is about a lonely and ancient Necromancer placed into the body of a young child. If that didn't turn me onto the story I don't know what would. He comes through a portal, and is forced to touch upon his inner child...something he hadn't done due to the nature of his abilities, which unlike the evil and terrible people necromancers usually are, were forced upon him at a young age. Imagine, constantly killing the things around you, just by touching them. It's not something I'd want to deal with 'all' the time. But that's his fate. The interesting thing is, the writer keeps us in touch with all of these things. I've never lost interest in the story, and while I do believe it's on Hiatus, I'm still eagerly awaiting it's next release. *************************************************************************** That's about all for this review, I'll be sure to put up a blog post explaining 'GB' stories soon. In no particular order, these three stories personify the Adventure genre. Their characters explore far and wide and expand our view of Equestria through their travels. Whether it's through the wild mountains and forest of the Hinterland and Griffonia, empires and history in frozen landscapes and desert climates, or continents rife with age and magic, these men explore the world they've landed in as best as they're able. They might go crazy, they might fall in love, they might even touch the lost arts, but they'll never back down. They'll never surrender to their situation. They'll keep explorin' on.
