    Good News! · 1:09am

    My new laptop has arrived!

As soon as I finally get all this new Windows 8 stuff figured out and finalized I'll be able to start working on my stories again.

Just as a happy little heads up.

    Stay Frosty!

    A sad day · 10:00pm

I have some sad news for you all.

My stories are all on a close to indefinite hiatus. The reason for that is very simple, yesterday my computer of 5 years died. I all I have for any sort of writing is notebook and my tablet. These options, and while not bad, are not the greatest options for writing.

But on the other hand, I if anyone knows a good word processor app for android 4.0 I would love know!

    Stay frosty,

    Icer.

So here's the deal everypony: I'm going to make some excuses, and you're going to buy them. Okay? Okay.

There's some very decent reasons as to why I have not written anything in the past couple months, from the myriad of ideas that I've had boiling in my brain, to the "An Old Stallion's Story", to new stories that I have boiling in the background, and here they are.

    1. For the summer I was working at a summer camp, I had roughly 29 hours where I wasn't at camp, where I had some sort of access to a computer, a week. I usually spent at least 10 of that sleeping, and much of that eating until....

    2. A relationship happened! This was a complete surprise for me, and for many people around myself and my girl, so what time I did have before the relationship started it turned into me spending as much time as I could before....

    3. I moved to the other side of the United States for 4 months. That's right, I moved over 1500 miles away from home, a move that will last until late December/Early January. I did this for work, and it was something that I had started lining up since before I started work on "An Old Stallion's Story."

Those are my reasons for no updates on anything in quite some time, and I have no apologies what so ever!

Anyways, here's something completely different... Reading Rainboom read "Letters to a Lunar Goddess!" It made me a bit happy to see something like that, so, here's the link to that youtube video!

    Cheers!

So I'm here with some more excuses as to why An Old Stallion's Story hasn't been updated in a while, and it's quite simple. I have a raging case of writers block (who knew that Celestia would be this hard for me to write!?) that has been blocking me from getting any work done on it, so I've been working on a little something this week that I'm pretty sure that many people will like.

In addition to that, it's coming to be the time of each year when life gets really hectic for students, that's right, it's the end of the semester. I've got several papers and much research to get done over the coming weeks, so that will also be conflicting with my writing.

And so, for those of you who actually care and did read this blog, I have something for you!

A little sneak peak into what I've been working on....

Taking not so subtle suggestion, Luna walked forward and turned her focus to where she knew Orion should have been on that particular night, only to be shocked that not only was he not there, he was… Just a cluster of stars, only barely able to be considered the Orion that she had once created. Giving her sister a bit of a glare, Luna set to work fixing one of her favored creations of the night sky. “Rigel… you shouldn’t be over there, you need to be here. Perfect. Betelgeuse, can you please be just a little bit darker? Thank you so much! And you Saiph, you’re just way too dark. You need to be brighter…”

Just a little snippet, it's got a large amount going on, and I feel that anyone who loves Luna will love this story.

    Once again,

    Stay frosty my friends.

    Upcoming Chapters · 4:12am

Okay everyone, the next couple of weeks are going to be hectic as all else. I have finals coming up soon, several papers, and enough research to keep me really busy. The joys of being a non-graduating senior, right?

    Right.

Anyways, An Old Stallion's Story will get updated as I have the updates ready, I can't really promise too much on it, and I really do apologize.

I'm going to give you a heads up on this as well for the summer. I work at a residential summer camp, which means that I will have very little time to actually write any new updates, so when they come out they'll be coming out even slower than they do now.

I also have some ideas in the works for some side projects that have been brewing around in my head, they'll get posted if I decide to work on them, so keep your eyes peeled for any new developments from me!

As for the next chapter of An Old Stallion's Story, I've been having a bit of writers block with what to do, and how to move on from here. I chalk it up to something blocking the transmission from whatever's going on in the universe and my brain, so... I'll blame the Doctor for this one. Oh, and quite possibly research, course work, regular work, and just reading far too much for my own good, with far too little writing for your own good.

    Stay frosty my friends,

    - Icer.

So, so much for that last blog post! Right?

No plan survives contact with the enemy, and certainly no plan survives contact with my own nefarious mind. That whole thing about having two updates last week? Sorry about that, I actually ended up writing a lot more than I planned for that one, and even then I did feel like I rushed the ending a fair amount, just because if I had continued with the plan I had originally set out on that chapter would have been 10k+, and I couldn't do that compared to the rest of the chapters.

As for the future? I may either pick up on updates, or I may not, it really depends on whether or not i can write the stories in that quick of a manner or if they're going to keep being as staggered as they have been. Then there is the fact that I have a couple other story ideas that I've been toying with as well, and when the ideas start bugging me... I just start writing, so there is that as well.

I hope that you all are enjoying John's story as much as I am! And feel free to tell me your thoughts, I'm really feeling alone without anyone telling me how they feel. (or many people telling me how they feel that is.)

    Apologies! · 2:20pm

Hey guys, I'm sorry that I haven't gotten anything out for two weeks, I've been a bit busy with different things.

First thing that came up was, and I'll be honest it's not something that's that big of an excuse really, but Mass Effect 3 came out and I had to beat it, know that I'm a wee bit angry with that ending though as well.

Secondly, I've had a bunch of papers and research that I needed to work on, so I haven't been able to focus on An Old Stallion's Story as much as I would have liked.

Thirdly, I've not hit a roadblock, so much as I can't decide which path I want to take from this point. See, I have it all planned out, the issue is that there are many different choice that I can make regarding John's arrival in Equestria, So I've been thinking over that the past couple days as well. I expect to have an update for you either Monday night or Tuesday morning, and probably another one by next Saturday, I can't have it out this weekend as I'll be without my computer to type, and wont have the time to actually write anything anyways.

Thank you all for bearing with me! You're fantastic readers, and once again I apologize for my inability to get anything out for these past two weeks!
