About me. But not of me.

I should probably start with who I am. Because on the internet no one knows you're really a dog.

I read more than I write. MUCH more. Last I checked (at least before they disabled words read) it was near 15,000,000. I will read anything you give me. Pamphlet, magazine... War and Peace.

When I write, it will be in bursts. Once I have an intense interest in something, I will write and chapters will come out like baby rabbits. After that initial afterburner takeoff, I write occasionally.

I start more projects than I finish. But I will try.

I love action movies, but I can't sit through quiet scenes. Not even Michael Bay is exempt. I absolutely hate quiet scenes.

In stories though, it's the complete opposite. Quiet talks between characters, a moment of thinking, lounging around, etc.

For some reason I love the hell out of Sweetie Belle.

The Facts-

Name - ISKV (Someday I will explain where the hell that came from.)

Education Priority - Automotive Technology (My teachers keep telling me that I am a hell of a writer though.)

Pet Peeves - Awkward silences, people not looking you in the face when they're on the webcam, earbud entanglement, etc.

Holy crap! The author of my favorite C&C pony crossover favorites my humble story?!

So awesome! :rainbowkiss:

So around... holy crap it's already been ten months? Damn. So ten months ago, I had an idea. I was a relative latecomer to the MLP fandom, having joined right after the season two finale, and I was a filthy casual gamer, one of the games I played being Command and Conquer Generals/Zero Hour. I was also an avid reader of Fanfiction of various subjects.

And so I thought, why the hell not. And I wrote the story. And so I wrote... and wrote... English class papers came and went, and my skill in typing increased dramatically. I swear, ever since I started writing fanfiction, I've had one of the best scores in writing in my entire school. Maybe it's the fact that I've been a reader all my life? Maybe.

Cut to now. Among my many (At least for me) other stories, From the General is the biggest. I've met a good number of fellow C&C fans, I've made and created my own world, and I've had fun. So it was nice.

But here's the problem. It's getting old and I'm losing interest. And many of you who were here for a while know that I take roughly two months to update each chapter. That and the fact that the quality of writing at the beginning and the end are too great for me to ignore, but would take too much effort to redo.

And with the departure of my prereader (Who for some odd reason wanted to remain anonymous... Oh well. He's the one that asked.) I've just lost all drive to continue this story. Not to mention that the next few years will be the most chaotic time of my life, I really can't spend hours writing. Hence the reason each chapter of Clankers is no more than a few hundred words long. I have a countless number of stories sitting unfinished, some of them I just want to get out there and probably will eventually.

I kills me to say this, but at the same time, I'm sort of relieved to end it right here instead of letting it wither and die, although it already sort of did happen.

Sorry, but it's time to move on.

Out of my mind and down your throat

Clankers

The key to power isn't immortality, nor is it strength, it is the simple spear and the will of the soldiers that wield it. Power to force peace, and war. Power to save, and kill. The standard-issue spear of the Royal, Lunar, and Solar guards are identical, and have been identical for hundreds of years, differing slightly only in style. They were passed down from their father, and his father, and his before him. Each has a story, and the oldest have a particularly interesting tale to tell...

A thousand years ago, we fought them with sharpened sticks. As you might've predicted, we lost. No, we didn't even put a dent in their numbers. But if there's one thing we humans were always good at, it's living in caves. No pony in their right mind would ever enter a cave. Too small, too dark, too dangerous.

But to us, it was a sanctuary.

Oh how we wished for a glorious final battle where our very species would be ingrained in myth, to be spoken of as mighty warriors that would rather face death than dishonor. Unfortunately, we faded away with barely an afterthought. The princesses returned to their thrones, and the ponies to their homes. Only the oldest of texts hints to our existence. Only the oldest of dragons have drawn human blood. Only a few beings clearly remember our faces.

Let us embrace the sunlight. Let us sleep under the moon. Let us smell the fresh scent of a spring forest. It is time my brother. Whether by eagle or by dove, we will return.

Let us march. The overworld is calling.

-The Key to Power.

The events recorded here are small snippets, from journals, transcripts, interviews, etc... All focusing on the history of humans. My name is Prof. R█████████ H██████, and we will be going on a little journey down memory lane.

They're a curious race, one filled with violence and love, honesty and greed. They're a chaotic species that managed to live in harmony. My personal journey started here, in the archives of the Manehattan University. I only have snippets, so if something appears in the middle, it's there because I organize my information in chronological order.

Are you ready?

Good. Let's go.

The Black Scare

Nopony trusts anypony anymore.

One month ago, if Mayberry wanted to get a job, she would've gotten it within half an hour.

One month ago, if Mayberry wanted to leave, she would've simply waltzed out.

One month ago, if Mayberry wanted to have a quick chat in the streets, a friendly smile would answer her.

It is a normal day in Canterlot, but at the same time it isn't.

From the General

Equestria is at war. If a one-sided fight can even be called that. A thousand years of peace may have helped it prosper, but its once superior military was cut down each year, leaving only the Royal Guards, many of which have never seen combat.

The Elements were useless against a massive army, and there are barely enough guards to protect Canterlot.

Officially, there was no surrender. Unofficially, the country is already lost.

As a desperate last move, the princesses ask for help from a general who definitely has the power to turn the tide of this war. Thinking that this was all just a prank, he sends "help" in the form of wrecked enemy vehicles and a single construction dozer that got mixed in.

Adventure

Adventure

Whether they fight battles of legend or quietly manipulate the world, there will always be adventure.

Whether their motivation be justice or greed, there will always be adventure.

Whether they end with a glorious victory or the most painful tragedy, there will always be adventure.

What you will read here is a collection of events. Each will be a part of a journey. None of the characters will ever meet. Not all of the adventures will be similar, some will take place in different worlds entirely. In fact, I cannot guarantee that the stories you read will even start at the beginning!

But once you do read, it is up to you to expand that adventure.

Be sure to bring some imagination.

You'll need it.

Land of Light

Wrapping up winter after an unusual month long blizzard is nothing less than a time consuming and laborious affair. But with a certain lavender unicorn organizing, things are going well. That is, until a discovery shocks the entire town. A pale white cybernetic pegasus with golden wings frozen solid in the snow.

Neighbors are unsure, Twilight can't find any trace of her in the archives, not even Celestia has any clue as to the mysterious mare's identity. At least, no concrete evidence. But to the solar princess, she seems oddly familiar...
