Why be a writer?
I've always enjoyed telling stories and using my imagination, and I've wanted to write since I was a little kid. I think the first story that I wrote was at about the age of 8. It was going to be a sci-fi epic where the only humans left alive were in an experimental space ship, because the earth had blown up for some reason. I wrote about two pages of it, got bored, and went to play video games. I think I still have that story around, somewhere.
I've written many stories of various (mostly awful) quality, but I wrote those for myself and not for anyone else to read. It wasn't until I started writing on FIMFiction that I actually tried making stories anyone else would like. The response has been amazingly supportive, and I'll always be grateful to MLP and the pony fandom for giving me a place to express myself.
What else besides writing do I do?
I'm self-taught on the guitar. Which means that I'm terrible at it, but I enjoy it. I draw some, but not well. I read almost constantly when I can, and I'm also a moderate gamer. I say moderate because I'm married, and it's hard to be a hardcore gamer and married. I'm a big fan of all kinds of animation, from kid's cartoons to Disney/Pixar to Japanese anime. If it's animated, I'll probably watch it.
Anything else?
I've been married since 2004, but have no kids yet. Instead, we have a house and three cats, which gets to be a bit much when they won't shut up at 3 in the morning. I live in Minneapolis, MN, and I love it here. Except for an 8-month stint of living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I've lived my whole life within 30 miles of where I live now.

Thanks! I'm really glad you liked it. Sunflower was a labor of love... I never really expected anyone but me to like it.
So, I really enjoyed Why am I Pinkie Pie?! Anyways... I drew your OC as I noticed a lack of art on him.

Project Sunflower was a great read. I think the best "Human in Equestria" take I've read so far. Props to you, you even made it to my kindle!
Side Stories and School of Hard Knocks are both proving great reads as well! I hope to see more in the future from you, you've got a skill going!

Sam Vimes by way of Hoofington, not a bad concept!
Well Hoopy I finally read "School of Hard Knocks"... that poor stallion. For some reason I'm picturing Sam Vimes as a model for him.
