Well, it seems like Mane 6 is moving on, possibly to work with the crew from Skull Girls.

While this is good news for them, it pains me to say goodbye to such a great game as FIM. With that, I'm going to say I know a guy who is continuing the game.  If anyone knows where to get the most recent code from Mane 6, of if you know anything about Flash animation or 2D Fighter Maker 2002, please message me.

Well, I finished my grand opus, Applejacked. At 30,000 words, it's my longest and deepest fic. Unfortunately, no one seemed to care. It was not nearly as successful my other fics like Fluttershocked or A Face for the Masses.

Still, it was very fulfilling to write. I tested my metal and came out on top. To be honest, it was touch and go for a while. I wasn't sure I was going to make it.

I couldn't have done it without the support of all of you great bronies!

It is with deep regret that I say that I'm taking a break from fanfic writing for the foreseeable future. This is good for two reasons:

    1) It leaves me free to actually READ some of the great fanfics I've been checking out.

    2) It frees me up to work on my true passion, making fan games.

If there are any Pony fan game projects out there that need a programmer OR artist, please send them my way.  I had previously worked on this DSiware game:

I'd be happy to work with any teams out there; if not, I'll be starting my own game.

Thanks again to everyone and I love you all!

    It's Finally Done! · 3:23am

    Oh, thank Celestia!

After 2 months of work, the story is now finished!

Because of the complextiy, I had to do the last 4 chapters at the same time. I will re releasing them one every two days, starting tonight.

    Here is the total:

    Chapter 7:  3702 words

    Chapter 8: 7197

    Chapter 9: 2909

    Epilogue:  1224

Chapter 8 was a doozey. I'd like to thank my proofreader, Invisibilit3 for all his patience and hard work.

Again, thank you all who read and support my fic!  I couldn't have gotten through these last two months without you!

The finale of Applejacked is taking some time. It does seem like I've bitten off more than I could chew.

I'm happy to report that the concluding two chapters are already finished and have proofread. Thanks Invizibilit3! Now, the next two chapters are the critical climax and they are still being written. I hope to finish the first draft sometime tomorrow.

The fact is, there are many characters and places involved and just keeping them all straight in my head is a handful.

I thank everyone for their patience and hope you enjoy the finale.

Now the big question is 'why is this taking so long?'  Well, I'm going to come out and say it, I'm an active procrastinator. Active procrastination is when you start new projects in order to procrastinate finishing the ones you've already started. In the time I should have been finishing Applejacked, I cleaned out my attic, started building a shed (from scratch), built a zoetrope from scratch, attended Bronycon and Otakon, and went to a baseball game. In short, I've been swamped.

This all ends tomorrow, however, so see you there!

Well, it looks like my script wasn't accepted for the BBB contest. Thank you to everyone who looked at my script anyway.

In other news, I haven't been updating Applejacked very much.  The Reason?  Bronycon.  I've been preparing my stuff for weeks, and it's getting in the way of my writing. The thing is, I've got most all of the resolution written, it's the HUGE climax that's taking time.  Once the next chapter comes out, expect the remaining chapters to come out in rapid succession, perhaps every 2 days!

I'll be at table 103 in the artist alley, showing off my Zoetrope.  Please stop by!

Well, I finished my script for the BBB Summer Funimation 2012 scriptwriting contest. I'd like to thank  rasta-gringo for all his advice.

I've posted the script for everyone to read.

Changes? There are several new scenes added. If you liked the original story, you should check it out.

What do I do now?  I'm taking a break and watching Guyver 2: Dark Hero, like I'm sure all of you are.

Tomorrow, it's back to writing Applejacked.

    The contest

I'm going to submit my story A Face for the Masses to the funimation script contest, but I need help reformatting it for the script. I can handle the actual formatting, but the story needs to be refocused and rewritten in many areas to make it more suitable for animation.

Anyone who can help, please message me!

    Lots of news today.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but this upcoming chapter is by far the longest and most complex to date. Besides the finale, this is going to be one massive story.

    Full of surprises.

I am going on vacation this weekend, a long weekend for memorial day. I usually get most of my writing done on weekends, so this will be a blow.  I'm trying to get as much done tonight as possible. Then I'll do extra work on Tuesday.  It will be worth the wait, I promise

Say, did anyone know they made a Fluttershocked read on Youtube?  I had no idea!

One more thing. I'm thinking of entering my fanfic, 'A Face for the Masses"  into the Summer Funimation screen play contest?

    Thoughts?

Anyone want to help convert it to a screenplay?

I will need to make changes to adapt it for animation, so any suggestions are welcome!

Two blog posts in one day?  Crazy  I know.

Since I made the effort to write over 15,000 works for my royal wedding fanfic, I thought it would be fun to take a tally of what things I got right.  I was not intending to mirror the show in any way, I was trying to write a royal wedding as a sequel to my original fic, Fluttershocked.

In writing the story, I used this as a reference for the little alicorn colt. I also referenced the blind bag card that states that Cadence 'loves tiaras'.

Besides that, it was all made up.

    1. The original bridesmaids were incapacitated and hidden under the castle.

    2. One of the wedding party was an impostor. In the case of my fic, it was Leon, the ring-bearer.

    3. Vinyl Scratch DJs. (That one was obvious).

    4. Dash / Sourin shipping.

    5. Lyra in attendance.

    6. During the wedding, the ceremony is attacked and Princess Celestia is incapacitated.

    7. Luna was there, but did not attend the ceremony because it was in daylight.

Can anyone think of any more?

Also, I am working on a sequel story, 'Applejacked' in the works.

It's been a great time.  I'm glad I was able to take this journey with all of you.  Fluttershocked was my first fanfic.  I started writing many in the 90's during my anime fandom, but none on this scope or size, and I never finished any.  It was the brony community that helped me make it, due to their positive attitude and encouragement.

And I'm just as stunned as you all are.  I had no idea what was going to happen as I was writing this.  It just sort of happened. The stories just come to me in my sleep, and I make a note to jot them down in googledocs before I leave for work. Then I use the snowflake method to flesh them out. The twists here were just as surprising to me as they were for others.

The original stinger for Fluttershocked was going to be that Fluttershy was taking turns doing her buckbuddy in every room of her house. The thing with Rainbow Dash's dad came completely out of nowhere.  I laughed just as hard as some of you.

But where to take it from there? From that point on, the story was completely driven by the commenters. I wanted to answer all their questions and give them more of what they loved. I decided the penultimate direction for the series could be Fluttershy catching the bouquet at the upcoming royal wedding, and Rainbow Dash being certain that meant she would be marrying her Dad.  But how to get there?

The next next story I wrote was "The Mounting of Rainbow Dash", which could have stood on it's own, but it was too short for the limitation of fimfiction.net. I wanted that story to remain pure and in the wordcount it was intended.  Brevity is the source of wit. I incorporated it into the story and used it as stepping stone to get us to the wedding, and to add some naughty hijinks.

Since we were in an adult world of pony anyway, the most fun thing would be to focus on the Bachelorette party.  We wouldn't be seeing that on the show, so this would give us bronies a chance to revel in the fun of it.

Again, I'd like to thank Invizibilit3, my proofreader.  None of this would have been possible without his help.
