"In the works" can be as early as "I just had this idea", though. I usually post about a new story idea I've come up with, but there are a few I haven't said anything about. I come up with a lot of one-off ideas, but these are the ones I really want to work with.

The Fruits of Friendship: [Sad] [Human] [Alternate Universe] If you haven't read The Value of Friendship (and I really urge you not to because it's crap), Fruits is basically an expanded remake. Apple Bloom finds herself on the streets of... let's say New York, for simplicity's sake, after an accident involving Twilight's basement laboratory. As she wonders if she'll ever return home, she manages to befriend a human.

Lineage: [Sad] Sweetie Belle arrives at Rarity's for a sleepover with big sis. What she gets is shock and heartbreak as she learns a distressing secret about her family.

Only in Your Dreams: [Human] [Alternate Universe] [Adventure] My first foray into second-person storytelling. Your best friend takes you to the bar to celebrate your new job, where you end up being knocked unconscious by a drunken patron. You then awake in Equestria (As a pony. Remembered to add that after writing the next one). Mildly inspired by The Dreamland Chronicles.

(unnamed Lyra romance): [Romance] [Human] (Mature) Lyra is obsessed with humans. When one actually shows up in Equestria, they begin a friendship that slowly becomes more than platonic. Not related to Only in Your Dreams, if you were thinking that. Actually, I forgot to add something in that one. Nevermind.

(unnamed ZoE crossover): [Human] [Crossover] [Alternate Universe] [Adventure] Rainbow Dash (or the entire mane six, still can't decide) in the Zone of the Enders universe. Gratuitous mecha action while trying to hide her identity from the humans.

The Melancholies of Music: [Sad] Completely inspired by two of The Living Tombstone's songs, Like a Spinning Record and Octavia's Overture. Vinyl and Octavia are living their dreams, but could they actually be nightmares instead?

(unnamed Warcraft crossover): [Adventure] [Dark] [Human] [Crossover] Jaina Proudmoore follows a beaten demon of the Burning Legion as it retreats through a portal. There she finds the demons have set their sights on an easier target: Equestria. The mage soon learns that the inhabitants of this strange world have little defense against such an invasion, and could not even begin to imagine the horror that is the Burning Legion. She must summon help from her allies on Azeroth if the ponies are to survive.
