I usually let the word count of chapter updates dictate what I view. If your first chapter is less than 4,000, but you decided to post anyway, then that author probably lacks the patience to finish what they started.
If there's a single grammatical error in your synopsis, I'm not reading your work. Presentation is so important, and you didn't care enough about your story to present it in the best possible light? Forderz is outta there!

It's great to see you here, if for no other reason than on deviantArt the emoticons are way too complicated (and not ponies). I am going to check here often to see what kind of stories you're reading.
My favorite authors are Cold in Gardez and Capn_Chryssalid, if you want to read some pretty good stuff. I read a lot of terrible stuff, though, too, in the hopes of finding a hidden gem (which I almost never do).
In other news, I see that the infamous/famous Pen Stroke Pony has also joined FiMFiction today (expect the featured stories to be all his shortly). You aren't the same person, by any chance?
