I know I've threatened to abandon the parody once before, so I feel the need to go on record as stating that is absolutely not what's happened here. The simple fact of the matter is the burden of my current semester (the hardest semester of college I've ever had) has rendered writing all but impossible for the foreseeable future. I wish this weren't the case; episode 5 is shaping up to be my favorite of the bunch, but that's just the way life works. The parody WILL continue, but the dearth of updates will most likely persist throughout April at the very least. I'm sure you can all understand, and I greatly appreciate that understanding.

On an unrelated note, as you've no doubt noticed, the cover image for the parody is somewhat... lazy. (Deliberately so. I think it's charming!) Nonetheless, if any readers fancy themselves artists, and would like to draw a cover image that showcases the characters of Friendship is Parodied, I would LOVE to demonstrate (and credit you for) such work. I realize it's a long shot, but it can't hurt to throw it out there!

So I just realized I have followers! People watching me! I feel so popular and loved.

But seriously, this is a test in the truest sense of the word. I'm testing to see if my five followers are alerted when I upload this blog post. If so, maybe some of you understand how FIMFiction works better than I do. Are you alerted when I post new stories? I assume you guys are already tracking Friendship is Parodied, so you should receive alerts on chapters. I'm just trying to determine the advantage of watching the author over tracking the story.
