Anyway, my co-author and I have decided to combine our efforts one more time and write up what will hopefully be a sequel to Near Death Experience.

There will be laughs! Thrills! Romance! And maybe, we'll all learn something about friendship along the way...

There's no ETA on the first chapter yet, but I hope those of you who still care will be interested. I promise it's the real deal this time. We're setting down a plan for the first few chapters.

So, we've come to the end. Near Death Experience was an immense pleasure to write. I've been completely overwhelmed by the piles of wonderful feedback I've gotten. I'm grateful for every single comment, even the negative ones. :) I even got a few pieces of fanart! You know you've made it when people like your story well enough to make art for it. That's the coolest feeling in the world.

Near Death was very much a collaborative effort between my boyfriend and me. The fic's really special to us. Since we're in a long distance relationship, the bits about not being able to touch the person you love were a little bit poignant for us.

We're already planning more fics, so I hope all the people who enjoyed Near Death will like our new ideas as well. :)

I was thinking of maybe starting an "Ask Pale Hoof" tumblr once Near Death wraps up. Since Ask Pony tumblrs seem to be very in vogue these days. Would anyone be interested in that?

Not sure if legitimately did not like or if just trolling because I had no thumbs down.

Not that I'm complaining, of course. After all, people are absolutely allowed to have their opinions!

But at the same time, I find it kind of weird that a person clicked thumbs down and didn't comment on why. I'm definitely cool with criticism. And I understand that some people just don't like my story. That's fine. But if you're gonna thumbs-down, I'd really love to know why. Especially if it's something I can improve.

This is why I don't really like ratings systems. Just saying "I like it" or "I don't like it" is not very helpful for a writer. It's helpful to hear what's working and what isn't.

Anyway, yeah. I guess it boils down to this: if you're going to negatively rate my fic, please tell me why. That's not too much to ask, is it? I'm not fishing for comments -- I just want to know.

How did Near Death Experience get over 100 people tracking it? I'd feel lucky just to have 10 readers. This little story's really turned into something. XD

I'd like to take a moment to thank my editor/co-writer and darling boyfriend, without whom Near Death would certainly not have existed. Pale Hoof, believe it or not, is his original character. He thought of with Pale Hoof's characterization and came up with some of his best lines during our brainstorming sessions. I always run every new chapter by him. Hello all.

So, it appears I am completely out of the loop, because I didn't know this FiMfiction thing existed until earlier today! But then again, it took me a good five months to realize Ponibooru existed as well. So forgive me for being a slowpoke!

I'll be posting all my FiM related stories here as well as on FF.net in the future. Hopefully this site will help me get lots of new feedback from new people! I love comments and constructive criticism. I'm also looking forward to seeing lots of new pony fiction. If you have any story recommendations, I'd love to hear them! I love grimdark and shipping.
