Wow, so it's been what like two months since I last posted anything.  No wait I'm sorry, it's been three months.  My bad.  I could go off as i have i the past apologizing for my absence but that sh*t's old hat by now.  The real message I want you to take away from this is my disgust with myself if I don't at the very least update the blog once a fortnight.  That being said, the utter bedlam that has been my life the over the past three months has not really allowed for any real investiture of time toward writing.

lets just reduce it down to sentence fragments and call it good, ok?  For starters: the holidays, a hunting trip with my dad, my brother moving to town, more holidays, getting a new computer that is the first one I specifically have ever owned, my roommate getting an xbox, playing halo ce with said roommate, getting minecraft for said xbox, playing minecraft with my girlfriend, getting minecraft on my computer, modding said minecraft to my specifications, and after nearly 6 months finally getting my D&D group back together.  All of the above was fun but none was pony related.

It turns out that when you have that much going on there is plenty of time for writing ponies OR working a full 12.5hr day, but not both.  You begin to see my dilemma.  This weekend though I when out with my girlfriend into town and through no fault of my own ended up buying a cart load of pony swag.  I will probably switch back from button down shirts to Tees so that I can sport more pony shirts to accompany my "Luna is best princess" one.

And of course with that sudden influx of candy-colored horses comes a renewed desire to work on WMHB, along with a host of other ideas that I'll probably never get to at the current rate but, who knows?  maybe having three other stories waiting will push me onward all the faster.  As it stands though I really only get substantial time to write on the weekends.  Weekends which are usually full with my girlfriend, cleaning, or oter important stuff.  I do have about an hr every weekday morning but it's been a real adjustment getting used to that small time-slot rather than the 5hr block of time i could dedicate to it like last summer.

The good news is I have finally been settling into a groove and fore the last few days have been making slow but steday headway twards getting the next chapter of WMHB ready for posting.  In all honesty though, in my original outline this chapter, the 2 preceding it and also the next chapter were supposed to only take up 5k words or so.  turns out it really took around 20k words and this chapter in particular is a dosey, around 6.5K words.  so that also went into why i've been a recluse for so long.  But take heart!  for with maybe another day or two of editing and I'll have chapter 9 of "What Might Have Been" up!  Woot!
