According to Greek mythology, the constellation 'Cassiopeia' was created when Poseidon tied the Queen of Aethiopia to a chair and placed her in the sky, punishing her for proclaiming that she was prettier than the Nereids.

Ask anypony in Equestria, however, and they'll tell you that story is a bunch of baloney.

This is the story of Cassie, a young filly fighting for her life, and how she found a friend and kindred spirit in the Princess of the Night, forming a bond that would alter the night sky forever.

Unfortunately, said ship belongs to the Outworld Emperor Shao Kahn, and is collecting combatants for the latest Mortal Kombat tournament. Now, Twilight Sparkle and her friends are forced to enter the tournament to save their friends and stop Kahn from taking over the world.

Crossover fic based loosely on the 1995 MK movie. Violence tends towards the comedic variety rather than hardcore blood and gore.

Intrigued and curious, the Crusaders set out to find the fallen flyer, discovering a story filled with triumph, despair...and perhaps even redemption.
