I actually have an idea for a Soviet Union/ Human objects in Equestria thing.

The N-1 was not designed for a Lunar Mission at all. It was designed... For a wormhole. A massive nuclear bomb, over 10 times the power of the Tsar Bomba. That's 1,000 Megatons. Obviously, this is too powerful to detonate in earth orbit. The N-1 seperates a small probe for travel, and... the wormhole fails. They try a second time, and the wormhole remains stable for an hour because an ultrapowerful magical blast happened to occur at that time. The probe goes through, and the last footage the Russians receive is of reentry and some sort of flying horse. So, yeah. That's my idea. Dunno about that ending. I always imagined footage of a confused Twilight Sparkle looking at a Russian probe. So, after that, we have Twilight examining it and finding several things that could be used to improve Equestria. The probe's payload would probably be a simple thing, possibly a hammer and sickle along with the Soviet Union flag.

basing yourself on other pieces of fiction is completely normal: I base myself around books like War and Peace, greek mythology and fairy tales (the old ones are nasty), as well as a lot of other movies, tv-series video games, books and audio tapes. However, there is a difference between stealing and copying. A lot of HIE's, POE's,TCB and FoE stories are ripoffs.

the other thing is stealing. That is the good way. Use subtle references, dialogs, character traits, way of storytelling etc etc from other pieces of media. That is one of the reasons MLP G4 became so popular: there are references to 19th century fiction and a lot of folklore. (the cockatrice, for example, was well-known during the middle ages. The alicorns however were being invented 'just' 70 years ago on accident, when a RAF pilot during WWII painted the wrong kind of horse on his plane.)

Besides, I've made several idea's for a HiE that can be pulled off. One of them is is that Celestia wants to eradicate mankind for pollution and everything, but tries to save children (by making them know about Equestria through the MLP series so they could roll in quicker. The adventures from the elements of harmony was perfect for it. However, time has passed and the mane 6 are all married and have foals. some have even parted ways.), and then teleport them to Equestria. However, Bronies complicate things, and Celestia finds them interesting.

the other one was an idea for a ''prologue for ponyfall''. However, thoseguyslooked at it but some were so stubborn that they didn't want to move their story (although I had made in such a way that the writers just could continue what they were doing)

Ponyfall has the same problems the normal HIE has. It could have been an amazing story. There are a lot of cultures involved. (Aloe and lotus on Hawaii, Applejack in Belgium, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy in Australia, etc) and see how those storylines mix together could have been awesome. However, each of those stories started the exact same way. Although the stories are now different from each other (with the CMC story as the best one yet) the stories all hint at the same idea's.

I've tried to help the guys from ponyfall by giving them an idea that popped up in my head: Download HTML here , mostly basing myself on the idea that the pink skies and everything also happened during discord's first attempt to control the earth, making the ponies interact with ancient Greece, who were also threatened by Discord, who controlled the Persians. (and during the interaction between ponies and Greece, we got the ''mythological'' species as we know them)

Some liked the idea's, but they were all way to stubborn to accept it. (even though the stories that they had already presented to the crowd didn't have to be changed)

You see? HiE can be original. You just need to know where to look.

>>2827628276 You are just an angry cynic arent you? As far as I can tell, now, this far into the fandom. It's almost impossible to write an HiE without ripping something off. And in most cases, people don't do them right. In my case, I managed to do something right with Wrong Hospital.

Personally, I don't think you should go around ripping on people with your current stauts. I don't exactly see much quality work here... I've been nice recently. But... your most recent story, self insert much?

There's going to be minor conflict and stupidity for a chapter or two. then something stupid happens. Boom, back in the bathtub. This is more or less a big joke with no real purpose other than to make you laugh at movie references.

Also, you can't exactly have a HiE without him meeting the ponies. Can you?
