Nothing to worry about really. I'm not stuck or gone somewhere, I just treated myself and updated my laptop to a nice new swanky one. Problem is I'm waiting for a friend to get me Microsoft Office 2010, so at the moment I only have a works processor I think. I'd prefer not to download Open Office so I'm just currently waiting for the tools to be able to write again.

As you may have noticed the nightmare night story never came to light, got stuck with how to make it seem semi-logical so I'm just going to stick with Changes for the time being.

In other news I got that new pony game for my iPhone. Signed up to Gameloft with it under the username Fresh_Blood if anybody plays it and wants to accumulate friends on it. So far I only have Twilight and Bon-Bon, and obviously I'd like to get Lyra, Octavia and Vinyl as soon as possible haha.

An update! On time and within the boundaries of my promises! Knew I could do that one of these days.

Anywho, I shall now be beginning my Nightmare Night story. It will not be a multi-paragraph story, just a one shot type thing, though it may end up being quite long. Chances are a chapter for 'Changes' will not be up before it is done but if the novelty on working on something different pays off, I should be able to finish this pretty quickly and begin working on 'Changes' again. Wish me luck!

Now, as for the question. I do have a dA account. Would anyone who reads these things actually be interested in any poll questions regarding my future projects or 'Changes' ideas? I assure you all polls will be pony related and they will not be one every day or so. I just wanted to know if it would be a useful tool for me since changes has over 1200 followers with no way of doing polls or asking questions here without bombarding you all with annoying notifications or author notes tagged on to the end of chapters.

I've been desperately trying to get a chapter typed up and posted by now but I've been far too busy. Just returned from my parent's wedding and tomorrow I'll be jetting off to Spain to attend the 'second half' of the wedding. As such I wont be able to write much and a chapter probably won't be done until next week. I fly back on the Tuesday but I then have three days off work so I'll try to use those days to finish Chapter 14. Just thought I'd keep everyone in the loop instead of disappearing again like I did last month.

I'll also be doing a Halloween story before the end of the month which I hope you all will enjoy, never tried my hand at horror before so it should be interesting. The few people I've mentioned the idea to have said it does sound pretty frightening.

A thousand apologies for the length of time it took to get this update out. I had a major break out of real life and work became really busy for a month. Desperately wanted to get this published two hours ago so it could count towards September, now it's gone into October, blast.

Good news is, I have a new cover art for the fic! I've had this for about three weeks now, been killing me not updating it sooner.

I said in one or two Blog posts ago that I don't like to do these as I know some people can get irritated. But as the Closing Ceremony for the London 2012 Olympic games has started and I only noticed by chance by somebody else's conversation at work, I wanted to make sure nobody who wanted to see it missed it by mistake.

Well done to USA with their Medal Count, and China with theirs, I'm happy with Third for GB, but it's a shame we couldn't win more in our Home Games. Still very Proud, however.

I've been looking for something for a future scene in Changes since I started writing this, and it finally exists!

I've been debating on whether to include music links in my story for a while, and although my tastes aren't great I've still been considering it. Now that this has been brought to my attention this is the only song that will be included. Conisder this a sneak preview of the song.

Off the back of this I shall now continue to write all night until I have finished Chapter 11, despite it already being 00:53 at the time of this posting.

Not sure how many readers pay attention to this but it'd be interesting to get some feedback.

I was thinking of entering the Equestria Daily writing Contest for August. Not entirely sure how it would affect Changes' update schedule but it may have an adverse effect on it. Obviously I wouldn't place the contest over my first story here and neglect it, I'd quit the contest first, but I was wondering if anybody would prefer me not to do it and just concentrate on what I'm writing at the moment.

I have a Trixie/Twlight ship fic outlined and I thought the contest would be a good place to start it up with, the word count goal is only 50,000 words and I can easily do that.

Also, Olympic Opening Ceremony has been great fun so far, James Bond and The Queen jumping out of a helicopter? Brilliant. All we need is Doctor Who somewhere and I'll be happy. Can't help but think Vinyl would have made the whole thing much more impressive, however... but that's just my pony obsession showing.

I dislike doing these, seems as if I'm making excuses but I'm starting to get a few private messages enquiring as to when I will be updating so I figured I'd do a blog and clue everyone in.

Obviously you all notice that I haven't posted an update in over two weeks. It isn't because I've stopped, I have 2,800 words so far, it's just that I've just struggled with this particular chapter. I'll hopefully have it resolved soon and for the first time in an extremely long time I have a couple of people looking over what I'm writing in this one to help me get it done. Once it's been sorted I shouldn't have any more problems, aside from real world issues and such.

For those of you who have come to expect an update around this time I apologise; I'm a little behind on Chapter 8's progress than I originally intended. Normally I finish the chapter very late Friday night/very early Saturday morning, but as I'm so far behind I don't expect I'll finish it until 6am if I continue trying to finish it and I have to be up in a few hours. As such, expect the update within 24 hours, it's already half finished so it won't take me long when I get home tomorrow evening.

Hmm, never used the Blog before, but I like the fact I can update people on progress without actually having to put up a chapter. Fanfiction.net used to be rubbish for that, couldn't speak to your audience without actually posting an update on the story.

Also, if you're reading this and you're a competent artist then I'd like to make a request. I'm soon going to start looking for an artist to commission for some actual cover art for the fic. I've never done it before so I don't know how successful I'll be or how quickly I'll be able to find one. If, however, you are currently open for commissions and you'd like to take my money for drawing me a picture then I'd be very grateful if you'd let me know, ha ha. I have an idea in mind and it's not too complicated, but depending on your rates you may be able to make quite a tidy sum off of it from what I've seen of most people's rates.
