Well I've finally finished the story. I have decided that since the description of what happens in the story changes drastically after Luna returns, I will make separate stories.

CHAPTER 5:

Chapter 5 is simply about the events that happen in the Everfree Forest that we see in the show, only through Sil's eyes. It was kind of difficult because I had to keep reminding myself that Sil knew nothing about Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy, since he never learned their names, or saw much of Twilight's interactions with them. I thought it a good idea to introduce Zecora into the story, if only to provide an explanation for myself as to why she lives in the Everfree forest and not in Ponyville or with other zebras. Also, I really wanted to try my hand at her rhyming scheme.

CHAPTER 6:

I debated on whether to call this an Epilogue or an actual chapter, but since I'm making more than one story about Sil, I decided to go ahead and save the Epilogue (I have one planned) for the final story. But I called it Revelations because it was my opportunity to answer a lot of the questions that I may have brought up and left unanswered until now. I also noticed that I have created this story very quickly, and would like to know from anybody who read it and happens to read this as well if it felt rushed or what I can do to improve for my next fanfic.

The next installment will be about the antagonists of the first season, as well as developing Sil's relationships with everypony now that he's not really following Twilight but instead running security for the Elements of Harmony. Thank you for reading this story, and I hope I can continue to improve my writing skill, because I love to write and it would be nice to be good at it.

Well after another two chapters, I personally feel that the story is starting to take shape. I can say that after the events of Chapter 3, I won't be going through every single dialogue of every single episode. I'll talk more about that later.

Chapter 2:

Ohhhh-kay. Chapter 2 is a lot of information setting up the character of Silent Trail. Throwing in Colgate was my choice, 1 because I haven't read anything having to do with Colgate and 2 because the similarities between her looks and Sil's was too much of an opportunity to pass up. Then we get to Sil's relationship with the Apple Family. I thought it important to enforce the fact that Sil and Big Mac are old friends, and as anybody who has known Southern Hospitality can tell you, if you're close friends, then you're family. This is also enforced in S2:Ep15 (Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000) when Twilight and friends help out Applejack. Again, this being the second chapter and the first to take place in Ponyville, I felt the need to establish Sil's belonging, as it is important for his occupation.

Chapter 3:

Admittedly, it was my least favorite chapter to write so far. It was a lot of checking the first episode and re-enacting Twilight's meeting of the rest of the Mane 6. It took forever to try to make the wording as accurately as I could while still giving it my own little spin to make it a third person account and through the eyes of Sil. I couldn't just stop halfway through, so unfortunately I had to bleed the chapter out to a long chapter. It could easily be condensed to from the beginning to the end of Sil's conversation with Colgate and then pick back up again with the last paragraph for anybody who is just interested in the plot (storyline). There were some key questions answered in this chapter, yet some more key concepts were introduced, revealed at a later point in the story.

If anybody still reads this, thank you. I am doing this mainly because I need to be creative, and I need to shadow a well-structured story before I can take off on my own to write something totally original and free of the show.

Well I just started my first Fan-Fic ever and in the first couple of hours it hasn't gotten very good reviews but nonetheless I shall not be deterred. I am not that disheartened because I am confident my story will get better as it progresses, due to more material and more interesting Dialogue. I probably will have a blog every few chapters because I don't know how to put in Author's Notes, the formatting is a bit tricky. So here are the first two notes...

Prologue:

The prologue is just my way of getting started. I kind of struggled a bit in the beginning, but once I established a couple of footholds, it really took off and fueled me into the next chapter. Some details that were revealed about the character (like the absence of a cutie mark) will be explained relatively soon for those that care. As far as Shining Armor goes, that is one of my personal goals in this fic, to explain the minor characters and their pasts a bit. For instance, I have fueled my Shining character off of the glimpses of rashness that happened in the Season Finale, and including him was a point I felt like I needed to make to try to show that Sil's journey would follow what is canon as much as I could.

Chapter 1:

As far as Chapter 1 is concerned, this is the second part of my taking flight into this story. It continues to show how Sil will interact with the events of the main storyline (For instance, Celestia getting Twilight's letter as Sil is talking with her, Celestia sending Sil to Ponyville for the Summer Sun celebration before she sends Twilight). Other than that, the Story pretty much speaks for itself. The bringing up of Big Mac and the Apple Family was my way of trying to give the reader a bit better idea of how old Sil is.
