For her amusement, Nightmare Moon has shrouded Equestria in total darkness. She occasionally enjoys tormenting ponies that she has brought into Canterlot Castle. Of course, they never escape.

Celestia soon finds that the sun is too much for her to handle and gets the aid of her sister. As time goes on, they both begin to struggle under its weight. Twilight begins to investigate the heat, taking a trip to Stalliongrad in hopes of answers. What she learns shocks her. It takes her to Princess Celestia, wanting and needing answers more than ever. The realization that the world could be at stake drives them to get the aid from less than favorable sources...

As she does with everypony, she becomes friends with them. When an unexpected guest arrives after getting the help of the local zebra, Pinkie sets out to try and give him a warm welcome. But, all is not what it seems--she soon finds that it is quite the unusual pony indeed!

The mind of Pinkie Pie meets a foreign and dangerous game. What happens? Randomness, as all that happens with Pinkie Pie.

Twilight Sparkle, a mare of many things, was tricked. She lived thousands of years, thinking and pondering as she always did when she did not know what to do. However, one day, she got a message from her once beloved Princess, asking her to come to Canterlot. Soon after, she begins to learn more about herself and the device on her chest. She unravels a covered up scheme that Twilight herself has had to deal with every day of her life for thousands of years, completely oblivious of its existence.

Tragedy, love, fear and regret are but a few of the things in which she is greeted with on the journey she takes part of.
