It does make feel better. Still, I'll probably stay away from clop, except perhaps in small scenes where it could add comedy or be helpful to my story, but I wouldn't base an entire story on it.
That's not to say I don't like or don't think some ponies are cool, awesome or cute, but I do like to think there's a defining line. Plus, I've noticed most clop pushes for that too soon and without much thought on what motivates the ponies for clop. I would like a bit more in depth, like why a writer who writes why a pony likes another and gives compelling reasons. That sort of clop, I can tolerate, but not when it's in your face all the time.
