Some Thoughts · 12:26pm
Hello, follower. Yes, singular, but I am in no way unappreciative. Frankly nobody has had a reason to follow me... until, perhaps, now. Finally posting a story. Think I know what I'm doing. Proofreader wouldn't hurt. Whatever.
Another idea that's been bouncing around in my head is that whole pony magic sing-along thing. That is, the idea that ponies can create instant musicals due to emotional expression. It's been used in Quantum Castaways (and weaponized by the human character - much love) and Into A New World. The authors write that this is a uniquely pony phenomenon, and is alien to humans. I would like to contradict that, and posit that there is at least one recorded instance of similar phenomenon in human history.
I'm talking about the Christmas truce. It was an emotional event - powerful enough to stop the war to end all wars - and it started with singing. Give that some thought. I will probably use it in a story at some point, but whatever.

Hey, thanks for the favorite. Always glad to see people looking. Any input helps a bunch in making it better!
It's highly ironic that I'm welcoming you, especially seeing as you joined long before me.
But no one ever welcomed you!
So now I say, how do you do?

The consequences for one thing. The translation ability hurts their heads. And the reality of talking to an alien - if you tell a Vorlon that you don't understand, they will respond that "understanding is a three-edged sword." Just being able to talk doesn't necessarily enable understanding.
