Yes, as many of you have already seen, "The Chronicles of Dark Star: A Blade of Redemption" has finally drawn to a close!  I'm incredibly pleased with how it turned out, and I have to say that I'm also very pleased with how the Epilogue played out...  Huzzah for villains!

This was the first installment in the "Chronicles" line- there will be 2 more stories under the base "CoDS", only with different end bits; think of them as "Indiana Jones and the *insert whatever*" kind of deal.  However, I will not be diving in to the next CoDS just yet.

The next order of business is finishing my shipfic, "Where My Heart Lives".  This RarTavia story took a backseat to CoDS, but now my slate is clear and the shipping will continue!!  :3  I'm very excited to continue it, and I hope that all of you who are following me for SoD and the stories of the Generals will read it, as well- I think it's going to be AMAZING.  X3

I would also like to ask a favor of all of you, my loyal watchers.  If you like my stuff, I would ask that you make sure to "like" it, with the little thumbs-up-button-thingy.  I would further ask that you would tell others about me, if you see fit; I would love to spread my work around a bit more because I want people to enjoy what I bring to the fandom, and what better way to do it than the lovely bronies who have already read my work?  Trust me, I do plenty of talking about it myself, but nothing is quite as powerful as word-of-mouth, as it were.  So if you like my stuff, recommend me to others, would you please?  I would be very grateful!  ^_^

All right, it's been a while since I posted about progress on stories, so I guess that's what I'm doing!  Even though I should be sleeping... damn my messed-up sleep schedule. >_>

AT ANY RATE, my loyal followers- I shall now update you on the progress of the various stories and things I am working on!

"Chronicles of Dark Star: A Blade of Redemption" is nearing its end- I anticipate perhaps another chapter, perhaps two (including an epilogue which you will not want to skip over!) I've had a lot of fun diving into Dark Star as a character, and as some of you may have noticed, I've even managed to give him a friend in the form of a rock-bottom Trixie.  I HAVE SO MANY PLANS...  Also, to all of you who, like Morfonius, may be wondering when Dark is going to meet back up with Luna: it's not going to be for a long, long time.  Seriously.  Like, 2 more fics of Dark and Trixie, plus 1 for Shooting Star and 1 for Morninglight before the fic where they meet back up.  He's got a LOT of stuff to go through before he'll get the chance to do that, but I promise that if you can stick it out to the end of this journey it'll be WELL WORTH  your wait.

Yes, that's a lot of pony writing, but srsly, what else do I have to do?  (besides work on my original stuff... >_>)

"Where My Heart Lives", my RarTavia shipfic, is temporarily on the back burner as I close in on the end of CoDS:BoR.  I'm SO CLOSE to the end of Blade that I just don't want to stop working on it until it's over.  However, after that (which should be soon), WMHL is going to take full priority until it is completed.  It's not going to be a horribly long fic- I have a very definite path planned out for it, unlike these longer stories like CoDS that just kinda meander along, touching on character points until it wraps itself up.  I absolutely love WMHL, and I'm kinda hoping that it helps the Rarity/Octavia ship take off a bit. >_>  It's a pipe dream, to be sure, but a guy can hope, right? XD

Now for a shameless plug!  You should really go read "The Best Intentions" by SpearmintSonnet .  She is very talented- she even drew the picture to go along with her story- and on top of that she is my brand-new wife.  So GO READ HER STORY!  X33333

February 4, 2012 is the official day that I finished "The Stars of Darkness", and so, for the one-year anniversary of the story, I'm going to be taking suggestions for what I could do as a special edition one-shot story.  Possibly a scene that you, the readers, would like to happen?  Something between two characters that really didn't interact all that much, but you would like to see what would have happened?  Something that you've wondered would have happened if things had turned out differently?  I'm very open to suggestions (as long as they are SFW, I'd rather not write these characters into clop): Alternate Universe, different ships, anything and everything.  If I can get a fair consensus on something, I'll write it up as a special edition, not necessarily Stars-canon piece for all my fans.

Don't be shy!  I'm quite friendly. XD

All right everyone, this is just a quick update to let you know what's going on.  I currently have two stories that I'm working on actively- the next in the series of "The Stars of Darkness", and a one-shot shipfic that will most likely be going up in a few days.

In case you're wondering, friends, the next SoD story going up will have none other than Dark Star as the main focus... and will probably have one of the longest titles of ANY of my works:  "The Chronicles of Dark Star: A Blade of Redemption".  It is the first in a series of 3 stories involving Dark as the main character; they will probably be shorter than the others, so most likely a bit shorter than "Of Thistles and Honey", but I guarantee nothing- sometimes I get a little long-winded.  >_>

The shipfic will be the one that I've mentioned in a few other blogs, "Where My Heart Lives", a fic that will feature Rarity and Octavia.  ^3^

I'm very excited for both of these stories, and I hope that you all are, as well!  As stated, I'll probably have them up very soon... since I really don't work much this week, I'll need SOMEthing to do... screw you holidays. >_>

...and if I can get my fiancee to stop listening to "They're Taking The Hobbits To Isengard".  I swear I'm going to hear this in my sleep... >_<

That's right, it's been a hectic... um... almost 4 months since I started uploading this story here, and I'm FINALLY done!  Thank you to all of you who have read it/commented/liked/favorite'd it- I love to get feedback on my writing, and I'm happy for every bit I get!

I really hope you all enjoyed OTH so far, and I truly hope you enjoy the ending- I really love it... I guess I'm a huge sap. X3

And, as promised, I'm going to have a new story going up very soon, one that I hope to keep updating at a regular pace, and YES, I will now tell you a bit more about it!

The story is going to be called "Where My Heart Lives"- it is going to be a shipfic staring two of my favorite ponies: Rarity and Octavia.  I'm very, VERY pleased with how it's turning out so far, and I really hope everyone enjoys it when I post it!

That should be up within a few days (assuming I can get my fiancee to stop blowing in my ears).  Until then!

Yes, that's right- I'm finally updating it again!  And THEN, possibly again!  We're very close to the ending, so I'd like to get it finished soon.  :3

Of Thistles and Honey will update soon- I have a lot of time off coming up, so I'm hoping to not only update it, but possibly finish it.

I also am going to be posting the new story up as soon as I have a cover image for it, which is currently being done for me by an amazing artist on dA.  I'm very excited to present this story to fimfiction; it's a shipfic (which I seem to be doing a lot lately), but what excites me is the pairing that it represents.  It's not one that I've seen around, and I'm very pleased with how it's turning out.

If you ask, I'll tell you- but otherwise, you'll just have to wait for the story!  ^_^

Not that I'm keeping a ton of you from reading "Of Thistles and Honey" or anything, but still, I feel an apology is in order.  XD

I've been working on a LOT of stuff lately- for the most part, I've been helping some really good friends of mine with their work, either drawings or stories, and have been running a pony RP... or two.  >_>  So that's where my time has gone. XD  I have, however, been writing as well, and trying to get the next chapter of OTH edited and out.  I DO, however, have a rather interesting announcement to make.

I will be doing... ANOTHER SHIPFIC.

I've already wondered what the hell is wrong with me, but I have a feeling this'll be the last one for a very long time.  The idea just popped into my head, the barest idea, and I like the ship enough that I decided to try and elaborate on it... and I'm pleased enough by the result that I've started writing it.

I'm working on the subsequent sequels of "Stars of Darkness" still, much as I did when I wrote "Every Cloud", but this is a little different, since I'm not CONSUMED BY THE UNQUENCHABLE DESIRE to write this as I was with EC.  Hopefully I'll have the first chapter of it up sometime soon, though updates after that are not guaranteed at any particular pace.

No, you didn't miss what pair I'll be shipping- I didn't say.  I'm feeling cheeky tonight.

Usually, fillies and gentlecolts, once I finish a story, that's it- that story is DONE, finished, finito, fin.  Never before have I taken something that I considered finished before and added to it... but that is what I'm considering doing now.

When I first finished "Every Cloud", I was happy to make it completely heart-wrenching and sad which, according to those who have read it, I did, perhaps a little too successfully.  I did have an idea for a sequel, involving what could have happened to Fluttershy and Silver Lining in the ensuing days and months, but EC was done in my mind.

NOW, I am very seriously considering going back and adding one final chapter to the previously completed story, and instead of a sequel simply wrapping the story up a bit differently.  Call it whimsy, call it indecision, call it what you will, but this is what's going through my mind at the moment.  Not sure, not even CLOSE to sure if it's something I really want to do; I'm even early enough in the thought processes that I don't even want to say what the new ending would entail, but thoughts of all kinds are bouncing in my brain- and I thought I would post my very basic thoughts out here.
