I should probably apologise. 'The Mare in the Mirror' (Pinkamena x You 2nd Person) was set for the end of March...

It is now May and I have made so little progress on it that, for the first time, I've thought of taking a break from ponies.

Insane, right?

But in all honesty, I've been swamped. 5 pieces of 40 minute homework a day for 5 days for 1 month, 2 weeks of study, 2 weeks of testing, 4 hours worth of class rehearsals + 10 hours after-classes rehearsals for Drama per week.

I'm burnt out. I want to write but I also try to keep up to date with so many other things, it's unbelievable.

I also contemplated (and sketched out) (and found all the materials and tools for) suicide. Not nice, I know. But Ponies cheered me up. ~yay~

So I'm tired, sad and aching. Not a good mindset for writing. And I project myself onto my stories a lot. (Just look at the failures and awkwardness in 'Faulty Thinking' or the self-doubt in 'Phoenix Wright: Turnabout Storm - Bad End') So I want to make this good.

I was going to write an additional ending for Phoenix, but it didn't come to be.

So I'll resume work on the half finished Pinkamena stories (have only just reached talking to Pinkamena)...

However, I've hit a week's study period and two week's exams. This are going to slow the process to a near halt. I managed to write -4 words yesterday (i.e. I took more out than I put back in.)

Also, “Are you okay? Anything I can do to help?”

I've used this line too much. Every single fic I've written has this.

(Except My Only Friend + Mortality, but I used something similar)

Since this series got me into ponies, I can't pay it homage enough.

But let me try. I'm going to enter with an ingenious idea (that is full of continuity errors).

Let's just say it's going to be Sad.

This also means I'll be taking a break from the Pinkamena story.

It's been quite popular and although I thought it had a slight chance of becoming even more popular (the only optimism I've had for a bit, so that cheered me up), I'm glad it stayed small. I can't handle the pressure of writing for thousands (although it has hit 1000 views ).

The blood brother redux I'm saving for next year (since I'll be studying it for GCSE drama. Predicted A*. Who knew?)

I was planning to do a sort of 'practise smiling in a mirror' sort of thing, with Pinkamena being a little sad/depressed and maybe a bit loopy too... who knows? (Not me...)

Also, while I'm at it, the flutterrape stories I've read so far are awesome. I probably won't be able to do the idea much justice but I'll try. For now though, check these out! (1 2 3 4 5). I've read the first two (Lyra's Misery and Fatal Fluttershy), the first had me on a rollercoaster of emotions, the second, well, I was as close to tears as I was when I read My Little Dashie...(i.e. glass eyed)

*if you're wondering why, it because I talk to myself. a lot. as though I were talking to ponies. Probably, Alt. Universe, with the twist of being the only one that can see them. My life is sad, isn't it?
