Hey guys! Whew, Act One is DONE!... jeez, did it really take us a YEAR to do this? Freakin' crazy. That's not counting the original writing, either. We really did a number here, didn't we?
I hope you enjoyed it so far. Now, the editor and I are going to take a quick break. Nooo, not months or years. We're going to be off the grid for three weeks. We WILL be writing and your new chapter is coming in three weeks time.
I've got two requests! One, feel free to toss me any thoughts or suggestions in a PM and keep comments coming! They're the fuel that powers the words. We write from your input.
Two, if you've got guesses about what's going to happen, could you keep them to PMs? We don't want to ruin the impact for readers. If you really, super duper want to know, please send us a PM and I'll tell you if you're right or wrong... but it'll probably be more fun just to read it!
It is a mystery, after all.

Welcome back, congrats on surviving basic naval training, and thanks!
Don't worry about Swift not being awesome; She has been and will be a busy filly and I very much doubt you'll be disappointed.
Very much.

Holy crap hi guys! So immediately on February twentieth I left the comfort of my home and the internet to join the navy. Two and a half months later and I'm officially in the navy going to school for my job. In other words I have two months of reading to catch up on and you guys better have swift being awesome as per usual. I shall always be your dedicated reader, and horrible idea person. Anyways it feels great to be back online and I can't wait to catch up on all of the fics.

Your story page looks... odd. Anyone else complaining, or is it just me?
You are the second person to tell me that and it confounds me... I appreciate it, I just don't understand it...
I am always curious to know why someone watches me... Especially when they are much better writers than myself.
Awesome story! I wish mine was as well written and paced as yours...it isn't!
Consider yourself watched, buster!
>>111344 Huh, I don't know any of those. We're pretty much doing this 'on the fly'. By the way, I just finished 'Rarity's Worst Day Ever'. Kudos AJinx!

Well, you certainly aren't working in a Mickey Spillane vein- the heart in your work reminds me a bit of Rex Stout's 'Nero Wolfe' stories, Dashiell Hammett is definitely a little more bitter than your stuff. Is there another genre of mysteries that you're more familiar with?
This is gonna make me somewhat ashamed but I've never actually READ a 'hard boiled' detective novel. The closest was 'Crooked Little Vein' by Warren Ellis
