Alrighty then, details ahoy!

How I wish it were:

I'm Blank Slate, a struggling Earth pony writer with terminal writer's block. Honestly, I've been reading fimfics for several months, but only just got into writing from a single idea. Cutie mark is, aptly enough, a blank sheet of white paper, contrasting neatly with the light gray coat. Mane and tail are long and wavy, quite messy, and a rich brown, same as the eyes. I apologize for the lack of cutie mark on the avatar, but I'm still looking for the right sheet of paper. And if you're wondering about the expression, I'm a happy person, but I always look bored. Always.

Reality:

Names aren't important, but details are. American (Autocorrect put "Australian...") by birth. My aspiration is to become a future novelist, and entertaining the herd is a great way to practice! I'm happily overweight, and was recommended as the base of my friends' favourite OC of mine, Two Scoops. He's delightfully chubby. Oh, and I'm male, thought you should know.

If you want to message me, go right ahead, please! Also, I fully welcome even the most negative criticisms on my stories, as what won't kill me makes me stronger.

Interests: 90's sci-fi, anything miniature, pasta, MLP, conversion of non-bronies, and fencing.

Hey, everypony- I apologize for being gone, my laptop exploded. Like, literal frickin' fire and shards of plastic everywhere. To be blunt, it's a category five shitstorm. I mean, just absolute carnage.

Now that that's out of the way, I have: News.

1. PoP is set to continue, but since all my files burst into flames, may take a while- that was nine finished chapters, gone!

2. Someone mind telling me what the heck happened to the site? I can't find anything, I have a feed now, and everything's too complicated for my crotchety old man brain to work out.

3. I have discovered Order of the Stick. And D&D 3.5 in general.

4. I went to BronyFest last weekend, partied with Matt Hill, voice of Soarin'. Dude's got leg muscles like a Norse God.

5. All my other stories, yeah, they'll happen. In time.

6. Yes, I am still alive. I just lost an apparently combustible laptop. I will be working again.

The Plague of Ponyville, Book I

Keratin-Eliminating Mammal-Oriented Single-cell with Antibody-Burning Excretions. KEMOSABE disease, known more commonly as the gruesome "Meltmane Fever." A truly devastating plague with disturbing effects and no guaranteed cure known to science or magic, both modern and long past. Except one.

~~Book I~~

An outbreak of KEMOSABE across all of Equestria puts Rarity and Spike the dragon in the roles of Ponyville's last hope. With only an old pony's tale and the wisdom of Zecora to guide their way, the unlikely adventurers set course for the Purest Spring, a mythical fountain with waters said to cure any illness. Their journey is fraught with peril as they head towards Zebreria, a dark land of endless winters and monstrous creatures.

Shortly after their journey commences, Ponyville succumbs completely to the KEMOSABE, leaving only five equines- Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, Time Turner, and Lyra Heartstrings, and Zecora- in any shape to help. These five must work together to keep their town's withering population alive and stable with a rapidly diminshing supply of bacterial suppressants and no chance of outside help.

[For the record, the excessive capitalization in the chapter titles is entirely deliberate.]

The Why of Pie

Pinkie Pie, the peerless party pony we know and love, has always perplexed Twilight Sparkle, who finally can study Pinkie after her mentor arrives in Ponyville to retrieve her. Between the years of rock farming and her new life as a party planner, Pinkie was a martial artist, a brilliant disciple in the nuttiest and most powerful form of hoof-to-hoof combat, Shugakain. The time has come to recieve her final training, and she must spend three months on the poorest part of Equestria to train, kept company only by an overanalyzing Twilight and Spike, who seems to be losing his mind. As well as documenting her friend's tribulations, Twilight tries to piece together the broken memories Pinkie reveals as she sleeps.

Back home, madness strikes Ponyville. The remaining four Elements of Harmony enter a 2500 bit bet: whoever can go two months with their life turned upside down wins a fortune. And so it comes to pass that Rainbow Dash goes to college, Applejack becomes a romance writer, Rarity plays dress-up as a birthday party clown, and poor Fluttershy enters the ring as an amateur buckboxer... Will their friendship keep them  bound together, or will a year's worth of tax free money be enough to split the four friends apart? What secrets lie buried in Pinkie's mind? And what happens when Twilight is finally proven right on a problem settled long ago?
