So, with the completion of Flipside I've been seeing quite a few requests for something I've been expecting.  A story group based around the Flipverse.  Well, I'm flattered so many people think so highly of my story.  While it pains me to disappoint, it's probably better if I clear something up here.

I don't plan on starting a Flipverse group yet.

The reason for this is two-fold.  The first part is that I've only got the one story written up so far.  It wouldn't make much of a group with just one story you guys have to admit.

Then, of course, I hear you say, "Oh, but Bed Head!  Once other folks start writing--"

And that's where I need to stop you and bring up my second reason.  I know it seems a little selfish of me, but I don't want other folks writing Flipverse stories just yet.  It's a personal thing I'm afraid and, especially with this fan-verse just starting, I'm a little worried about what letting other writers in on it might do to the Flipverse canon.  While I'm sure it would provide a lot of good that I'd be incapable of putting into the verse on my own, it'd also impact the directions the stories and character arcs go.

Now don't get the torches and pitchforks yet.  It's not like I never want to start a Flipverse group.  It's just that I'm not comfortable with the idea just yet.  Maybe once I've gotten through my next story (though I suppose possibly before then...), and even then I'll probably have some guidelines to lay down for other writers wanting to add stuff to the Flipverse.  

Seeing as I've never tried to start a group like this before, I'm hoping you can understand why I'm a bit hesitant.  For now, folks, I plan on taking some time to map out and get working on the next story of the Flipverse.  Trust me, when I think it's ready to welcome new writers and their input you'll all be the first to know!
