In theory, this falls under the ‘Slice of Life’ category with a vague overarching narrative to the setting.
Having been started quite a while ago, the story is set shortly after Discord’s imprisonment though events and characters canonical to Season 3 appear.

This is in reply for your comment in my page. I replied though, but I am not sure if you will get a notification for it (still new to this commenting thing). I put this here just in case you didn't.
the first fic is called "grayscale" which is one of those TCB fics done right. I highly recommend it to you. You might gain some insights from it. although, I hope yours have a happier ending but don't let my wish of a happy ending change whatever plan you have with this fic.

P.S: still wish it is a happy ending though, I have yet to see a TCB fic where humans and ponies live peacefully with each other.
P.S.S: the thing about the newfoals losing their memories and stuff doesn't have to be true. "The Conversion Bureau: A Beacon of Hope" certainly prove that (its one of those TCBs where the ponies are portrayed as the bad guys however). and yes, this is me shamelessly trying to convince you to go for a happy ending
