So as you have all probably realized by now, my attention  span is not particularly long... As such, I have started writing two other stories in addition to the two I'm attempting to keep up on and the two which have received no love what so ever for months now... One is essentially just a retelling of a very dark version of the Pied Piper set in Equestria and involving Parasprites instead of rats... don't expect to see that one see the light of day. The other is my own original (shocking, I know, but not everything has to be a crossover/retelling) story of good, evil, and the gray area in between... Also necromancy. That one should be starting in a day or two, whenever the admins get around to it. Don't expect it to be a big long story this time, I wanted to write something I can actually finish for once.

Anyway, just a heads up for any who see it. In addition, the next chapter of From Sacred Flames will be out next week, followed by the final "Amongst Shadows" chapter of Come Dawn or Darkness. So stay tuned. We will update eventually!

Soooooooooo, if you are reading this you may have noticed that I have not updated any of my stories over the past week.... again... We had a good thing going with the whoel alternating stories each Friday setup, but I'm afraid its just not going to work right now.

I'm about to start applying for substitute jobs, student teaching positions, and hopefully a higher-paying 9-5 job for over the next few months and the preparations for that have left me with very little time for writting. Add my usual class schedule into the mix and my free time has fallen to the point where its essentially whatever time I can get behind the counter at work while no one is looking... Needless to say, the next chapter of "From Sacred Flames" is still underway, but it has a serious perspective switch that has made writing it a bit more difficult for me; something I was not expecting when I first started said chapter two weeks ago...

Anyway, this is essentially just here to let you all know that I have not stopped writing... I've just had to slow down a bit is all.

Hey guys, just letting you know I am not officially back in classes. As such, I have a definite, concrete schedule which is now secluding my free time to specific blocks. Fortunately, it has left me with a good bit of time for writing while its still daylight! As such, I am officially jumping back into a weekly update schedule for my stories!

...well, actually its biweekly. See I've come to a realization about my writing. I can only focus on two stories at a time. As such, alternating every week, I will be updating "Come Dawn or Darkness" and "From Sacred Flames." I have hit a wall with the other two, which I love dearly but now realize that there is no way I can possibly finish... The Tower's song no longer reaches my ears, but don't think for a minute that "Sand on the Doorstep" is finished. Quite the contrary actually. You see, I have recorded all of my plans that I had for the story in a vlog that I have passed along to one of my fellow writers. He will be picking up where I left off and writing the rest of Roland and Walter's little tale in my stead. Expect new chapters... eventually. The same is occurring for "Taking Off, Coming Home," where a concerned reader has stepped up to relieve me of my position as author. I'm now simply in an overseer-type position, ensuring that the story itself stays on track while the writing itself falls to the new author.

ADD and a room full of video games... More recently though its been TF2 specifically that has drawn all of my time that I haven't already sold to the people who pay me to stand behind a counter all day and develop film for people who I don't know and/or hate. So it would seem I lied, horribly, when I said I was going to update the other two stories I have started: "Sand on the Doorstep" and "Taking Flight, Coming Home." Rest assured, I am by no means done with them, but I simply cannot focus on them for more than five minutes at a time these days. With "Come Dawn or Darkness"' inevitable conclusion getting closer and closer, I'm finding it hard to focus on anything else story-wise.... Or, at least, I was until I suddenly came across a cd I hadn't listened to in years. While driving along listening to it today, an entire Discord-related story slowly formed in my mind, based vaguely (very vaguely) around the backstory of the last three songs on the album. I've searched and searched and from what I can see, only one other person as made a half-way decent MLP version of the story (likely after a little epiphany like this one) and that one was quickly abandoned after its first chapter.... So I'm going to try to make sure mine is nothing like it AND makes it at least two chapters in.

...in an unrelated story, I am going to be starting a brief video blog-like thing. I don't know exactly what its going to be, how long it will be, or what made this seem like a good idea to begin with. All I know is that I need a way to get some of these thoughts out of my own head an recorded somewhere before I forget them all entirely. So many of my old stories have never even seen the ought of day because of that very occurrence, I won't let it happen again.... too much.... anymore...... I hope....

So Dark Souls 2 was just announced a few hours ago and I for one could not be m ore excited... Well, no I guess that's not true. I could be a whole lot more excited, and I intend to be once we have a release date and it is about a week away from said date. Until then, I intend to just continue enjoying the predecessor (you know... the one that wasn't exclusively for the PS3... The second predecessor...)....

So it finally happened! I finally found some time that I am not in class, not at work, not tutoring someone's kids, and not generally too busy procrastinating to go ahead and do some writing!

"Sand on the Doorstep" is taking a short hiatus while I figure out how to introduce the final character effectively. "Come Dawn or Darkness"'s next chapter is done, saved, and then immediately lost when my harddrive crashed a few days ago (I'll rewrite it when thinking about it no longer makes me want to bang my head against my desk for not backing it up). So all that leaves is my little experiment of a story, "Taking Off, Coming Home."

Therefore, for the next three hours, I am officially dedicating myself to writing a new chapter, revising the first one, and laying out a physical design for how I want this story to play out (something none of my other ones have currently, those are all locked away safely in my head, just waiting for the day when I get some kind of concussion that makes me forget everything that's supposed to happen in them).

I know the first chapter had a lot of grammar errors, poorly throughout sentences, unstructured/unneeded thoughts, and maybe one or two slight plotholes, but I am going to fix all that tonight! Me and my insomnia vow to see this one through to the end! So, get ready for a new chapter for that one which will set the stage for this to become an actual story rather than simply an unstructured introduction to what could one day be a story!

So sit tight. It'll all be over soon.
