    HOLY SH** · 12:00am

    Guys! Guys! I'm not being writer's blocked anymore!

    No, I'm serious. I am working on 'Oh...' RIGHT NOW. No, I don't know why; all I know is that I got on here to check for new messages or something and found a comment on that story literally consisting of "Author pls, more pls", posted by TheCubanBrony, and I was like 'You know what? I'll give it a go." So I scratched what I had for the next chapter of Oh... and am starting it over. It's going well, too.

    Excited? YOU BET I AM!

    I don't know if any of my other stories will be continuing, but this one is at least gonna get another chapter in one to three days. I'm not even gonna jinx myself, I am DOING THIS.

    ...So I come bearing a link:

    Clickety clickety click click

    It'll take you to my user page on a site called NovelJoy. I'm currently writing stories on there right now, as well as FictionPress, and if you scroll all the way down you'll find a list of three stories I've written. I'd love it if you would read them. I honestly prefer NovelJoy to FictionPress because it posts faster and has better format, but FictionPress has a bigger reader base. In any case, I hope you guys don't hate me for cancelling those stories.

    Speaking of, I would just like to mention that when I say that those stories are cancelled, I actually mean that they're on super hiatus, meaning that I may or may not come back to them sometime sooner or later.

    ...But I've been working on something else on another site. I said I would be working on that fantasy story when I left, but things came up and I haven't been working on it much. The thing is, around Christmas time (oh God, I should've at least said Marry Christmas and Happy New Year to you guys... better late than never?) I got this idea to write a super hero story in novel form, and I've been working nonstop. In fact, I have eight chapters written, four of which have been posted. I know it's a lot to ask, seeing as I abandoned my works on this site (I'm still terribly sorry about that, guys), but I was hoping that you guys could find it in your hearts to read it and rate it and review it.

    The story is called Machina, and it takes place about seventy years in the future. I decided to base it on a character named Nikole Autom who becomes the hero, Machina, and fights crime. I'd love to hear your feedback (on that site if possible) so please give this aspiring writer a chance?

    Screwit Screwit Screwit... Uhhhhg.... Okay, so I've been sick for a while, now I'm getting better, but I have finals, and I've got so many Irons in the fire.

    How many irons? All of them. All the irons are in the fire right now.

    I just am not feeling the urge to write jack siht on this site. I'm so sorry guys, but I don't know how long it'll be before you see another update from me. I've just been working on so many... how do I put it? Real things. Ideas, actually writing, and colaborating on actual stories that have nothing to do with a fan base. I'm sorry, but I think it's time I got serious about my writing career. I AM interested in getting books published after all. I've been trying, I really have, but the pony fanbase (while I still enjoy the show) has begun to disinterest me. I used to love these vivid colors, the fun stories, writing about them, and so much more, but now? It just doesn't feel the same. I guess it finally occured to me how real siht is getting in real life. It's taken too long for me to start missing my dead G-pa (I never met him, so I suppose that I really shouldn't miss him at all), and I never wanted to focus on my girlfriend as much as I do now that we've passed eight months (pretty good for a first romantic partner, no?). I look at ponies and think "those were good memories" not "I should write more...", or "man, that's just too happy" not "wow that makes me feel good". I honestly miss the days when this show inspired me.

    I guess what I'm saying is: I'm not really a brony any more. I'm just a fan. I'd promise to finish the stories I'm writing right now, but let's face it; they won't get anywhere beyond the reader base they've already got, and I have no planned endings for any of them. Besides, I can't find it in me to really finish them. Maybe someday, it'll come back. Maybe this is just how the gloomy, snowless winter I'm having is effecting me. I'm not sure, but I am sure of this: I'm so sorry, but I'm done here.

    MAYBE. I may find it in me to update, but please don't check eagerly on a daily basis, please don't post comments asking why it's taking so long, and please don't be upset with me. I'm just.... I'm trying so hard to be serious about becoming an author and, in all seriousness, this site was honest-to-God just practice. Sorry again.

    This is Arbiter Balemead, signing off.

    New Chapter · 6:35am

    As I mentioned a while ago, I am writing a story on a different site that has nothing to do with ponies. I have just added the first (real) chapter to that story(if you wish to read it, follow that first link, then the appropriate link on that blog post). This means I am back on this site for a few updates. The tagged stories are to expect updates within... whenever? Idk, my updates used to be so frequent but that's been impossible lately with life being the way it is. I guess at least two of them will be updated within a month of this post, assuming that Christmas isn't all that distracting...

    Okay, so, a while ago I mentioned this thing that I wanted to write on a different site. I was supplied with a site known as Fictionpress. net as a place to post it, and that story is actually under way. In fact, the prologue is done and posted. If any of you would like to read it, click this deliciously blue text right now, gall durn it! I am still open to assistance from you guys, and I am also open to any ideas you can supply (although thanks to the amount of lore I have already come up with, your ideas could easily be rejected, but it wouldn't be your fault), and I would love to hear what you have to say about the story.

    The Pen Name on that site is Arbiter English, but please, call me English.

    I can't wait to see your comments there, and I would like to thank you guys so much for reading my stories this far. It's people like you that'll get me anywhere as an author.

    P.S. I will be spending plenty of time writing this, so I have tagged Oh... , Serenity, and New Perspective to inform you that those stories will need to expect delays.

    If you are reading this, you are either one of my few loyal readers, or you were notified because I tagged a story you like. Or because you read Misperceptions. I am honestly flabbergasted that THAT story of all that I have written is in the feature box. Some of you may have glanced through the comments and noticed that I said it is in canon with New Perspective, and those you that hadn't... Well it is. I highly suggest reading that, seeing as the few commenters I got on this post think it is my honest-to-God best work so far, and in my opinion, Misperceptions was my worst.

    Please read that one, if you would be so kind.

    In All Honestly... · 10:34pm

    I've been contemplating this for a while now: Which of my eight stories is the honest-to-God best? I don't mean which has the most likes; I mean which one do my readers (who've read them all, or at least, most of them) think is the best?

    Me? My favorite to write has been New Perspective, but I gotta say ,when I read them over, it's an honest tie between that one and Serenity.

    So the question I've got for you all is this: Of these Eight:

    1. The Dishonest Truth

    2. Simple Things

    3. New Perspective

    4. Memories

    5. Misperceptions

    6. The Battle Within

    7. Serenity

    8. Oh...

    Which one is the best? I implore you to take writing style, skill written with, story, plot, and NOT pairing into consideration when you decide.

    But yeah... I'd love to hear what you guys think. I totally <3 you all.

    I want to write. I mean novels. REAL stories. Ones that will end up in School Libraries and store shelves. I have an idea for how I can get an early start on that career. You. And this website. I have two big questions for you guys.

    1. Does anyone know a website where I can type up a chapter at a time and post it (the way I do on this site) but doesn't require me to write about a certain cannon. If no one has anything I can use, I do have alternative based on this site.

    2. Do any of you want to help me with... well anything? I need help creating characters, regions, nations, races, and all that whatnot, so ANYTHING you have would be welcomed (as long as it isn't retarded or a half-assed joke).

    Here's some basic knowledge about the lore:

    The world is called Mythos.

    It is a post-apocalyptic fantasy story.

    I have decided upon an array of races (both self-made and generic):

    1. Dwarves: Chest height with men. Skilled Craftsmen. {Competitive Rivals with Tu'Nari}

    2. Nari: Look like men but with different skin color, eye color, and pointed ears (Elves, but with an actual name) {Names work with the type name then 'Nari  i.e. Que'Nari}

         A. Que= paladins and healers (High Elves)

         B. De= Thieves and black mages (Dark Elves)

         C. Gil= Hunters and druids (Wood Elves)

         D. Tu= Craftsmen and warriors (Basic Elves) {Competitive Rivals with Dwarves}

    3.Drii: Bestial races. {Names work with the type name before 'Drii i.e. Ari'Drii}

         A. Avi= Lion people. Politicians, beserkers, and merchants.

         B. Ari= Bird People. Sneakers, mages, and warriors.

         C. Urs= Bear People. Vikings, vikings, and vikings.

    4.Chi'D'Sturn: Sturn for short. Robotic race.

    Then there is the two main characters:

    1. John: Main character. Naturally talented mage and trained soldier.

    2. Merydia: [Mery for short] Love Interest. Rogue and werewolf (Unwelcome curse, but uncurable).

    I have also designed a wide array of regions and areas, but I won't mention them here because there's too many. If you want any additional information, just ask in the comments and I'll be happy to reply in a comment with additional lore. Please give me any ideas you have. There is a LOT I couldn't mention here.
