Number 1, again · 4:21am
It looks like somepony switched a down vote on Applejack's Bar to an up vote. (I seem to remember there being 21; now there's 20.) It's now back in the number one slot on the Top Rated list.

I prefer stories where Scootaloo has a normal life, but I got an idea for a one-shot story involving Scootaloo with all the tropes (orphan, runaway, adopted by Rainbow Dash), so I wrote it.
It also got approved in a matter of minutes!
I actually wrote and submitted a story with about 1800 words of clop. I have no idea how well it will go over. I would have preferred for my first clop story to not involve an original character, but given the actual plot, writing the story with an OC made the most sense.
If you're interested in that kind of story, click on the link below.
If you're not interested in clop, but you've always wondered why a Pinkie Pie party features Pin the Tail on the Pony, click on the link below to read my humorous take on the subject, and stop when you get to the clop.
Spend time editing somepony else's second person story.
Go back to writing your own story.
Find that you've been writing your story in the second person.
Your story is not supposed to be written in the second person.
I have another one-shot story idea.
That, in and of itself, is not noteworthy.
This is an idea for a clopfic.
That's something new.
Aside from the worries about being able to write clopfics well, there's the concern that the story idea pretty much requires using an original character. It won't be an OC/Mane 6 ship, but I'm afraid that any story using an OC would get an automatic negative reaction.
If I were to write an OC/background pony ship, what female background pony (preferably a unicorn) deserves some love?
No fooling! I took a brief break from my current story to write another one-shot slice of life story idea, again starring Scootaloo and the Cutie Mark Crusaders. The fact that we haven't seen Scootaloo's family has led to a lot of unusual back stories for the filly. But what if the reason is a lot more mundane?
In a change to my normal plan, I've decided to post a link here and invite comments before submitting the story. So have at it! Here is Scootaloo's Family. ![]()

There was a bit of a weather-related problem with some recent travels. That meant a long time waiting. Fortunately, I had my netbook computer with me, and without the distraction of the Internet, I was able to complete another chapter of Clean Slate. It's up now.
My introduction to the new user interface came when trying to access FIMFiction on my phone. It did not work well. Hopefully things will improve.
Meanwhile, I finished another chapter of Clean Slate, focused on cider season. My last story also featured cider season at Sweet Apple Acres, so some of the details will be familiar. Certain elements just fit into my headcanon. (I promise, that does not include last story's shipping.)
So I read that the Season Three finale is actually part of a story that will stretch into the first two episodes of Season 4.
So what are the odds that those two episodes will deal with Twilight Sparkle living the life of a princess, pining for her old life back in Ponyville, and finally deciding that she misses the old days so much that she seals away her powers for the time being, and everything goes back to status quo ante?
