Those last two words in the title, you read in George Takei's voice.

On the first part of the agenda is by far the most exciting: I'm going to Equestria L.A.!

This ties into the second part, so we'll put them together.

Going to EQLA will mark my first trip overseas, leaving me both extremely excited and absolutely terrified. I'll be meeting up with some of the crew from Roanoak, which will be a blast. After this, we're off to Vegas for a few days, then back down here for Disneyland and hopefully Craig Fergusson!

If anyone else is going to EQLA, I'll see you there!

The third part, which is the most interesting part for you guys:

I've got one more story coming through, which I tihnk you'll like. It's in its final stage of review by one of the illustrous prereaders from everypony's favourite prereader group. Once that's all done, it'll be up for show. It's another sadfic (apparently I'm good at that). Without giving away any big details about it, I will tell you this: it will contain our favourite Princesses. The best Princess, gets the best role.

Keep your head on a swivel and stay frosty.

A lot of the time, I have stories sitting around on my drive that just didn't make the cut of my standard. I get half way, or less, through them and just stop. Not for lack of trying, but for lack of quality ideas that could drive the story fowards. This can include a poor plan, a faulty idea, or even simply that the idea was poorly executed.

For this time, however, it was because I'd taken a new low in negative emotion towards the story, that I'd found it boring. I still like the idea of this story, it intrigued me enough to be thinking about it for weeks. But the execution and the way I want to take it, just won't work. If I bore myself writing it, how will anyone else feel reading it?

So without further adieu, I present to you: By Fate of Who I'm Not. [Dark][Sad][Alternate Universe]

It's very likely that this story will not continue from this, however, mayhaps you'll enjoy it anyway.

So, given enough time and feedback from Bright Eyes it's safe to safe that I buggered up the pacing a bit. People felt the ending was 'abrupt', and I wouldn't disagree with them. I believe that because I'd set the pacing of the story to be relatively slow over the majority of the story, having everything happen and resolve in Chapter 8, was what gave it the abruptness. Something to learn for the future!

If you guys disagree with my assessment, please, I'd like to hear yours.

As for what's next, well... I have ideas mulling around in my head about where to go from here, in terms of a longer fic. None of them are directly related to Bright Eyes. I ask myself two questions when I have an idea, as great and inspiring as it may seem: "Does this need to be written about?" and "Can I do it justice?" Some thing are best left in someone's head, and other things may not be able to be done justice. I wouldn't touch the Fallout: Equestria universe, simply because I could never do it justice. So someone else needs to write about Trixie and Twilight's experiences and respecitive ends for me. I'll love you if you do.

So give me some time, and we will see what happens from here.

For anyone actually interested in my present ideas, They can all be found here. I'm interested in hearing if any of my ideas are of interest or worth!

And The Wheel Turns · 10:37am

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass...

So, wow. This is it, the end of Bright Eyes.

I'll admit, I'm somewhat overwhelmed by the support this little project of mine has garnered. And even two months down the track, it still strikes me unfathomable that people so many people like it.

Having started this, I thought to myself You'll be damned lucky if you're not chased out with torches and pitchforks. Evidently not! To have woken up that morning with almost 200 people loving it off the bat, took me away. Never before have people taken to anything I've done like this.

    Thank you all so much.

This was originally planned as my re-entering the world of writing. Having written two novel-length stories when I was 13-16, I took a good long break until this year. Five years. This story was supposed to be three, maybe four chapters in length. However, when I'd reached those chapters, I realised that I was no where near where I wanted to be for the penultimate chapter. That lovely little cliffhanger had been planned right from the start, my lovelies.

In the end, this story and all of you who have provided such valuable feedback, have helped me either become a better writer, and I thank you all for that. I read all comments, take in all the feedback, and consider so much that gets posted in the comments, it's ridiculous. Some comments even helped give the story a better rounding, or a gave me a reason to further elaborate on certain things.

Before I sign off here, I'd like to give a special shoutout to my prereader Tursi, who's help has been exmplory in offering both comments on my wording, but also little ideas here and there on what might need to be restructured.

And for the tl;dr, it's been a great journey, and I love you all.

I do believe this is the collective reaction to Twilight when Princess Celestia is ever mentioned:

    That Annoying Nag · 11:34pm

Y'know that annoying feeling... when you have something planned for a story, and... you want it to happen now... but you're not even close to it?

    I'm feeling that right now.

    A Question · 12:57pm

So, as a general question that is totally not related to something (which is totally not uncreatively named after a song.)

How sensitive do you think pony's hooves are? Are they as sensitive as hands and feet, or as sensitive as nails/keratin?

    Discuss!
