I've been writing about things other than ponies during my writing break; about films, to be precise. My goal is to watch all the films in IMDb's Top 250 films and give my thoughts on them, along with anything I happen to see over the year or so that's going to take me. I'm about fifty in right now. I keep checking FIMFiction, even though I haven't uploaded anything in a while and I wasn't reading all that many stories during the long pony-less summer, and it would just floor me that people kept reading and liking my stories. It's been months since I've done stuff! This pony thing has a long long tail. It's really cool to know, as an author, that you're still getting new readers for old stuff. Now, I understand that most people are just liking something they stumble across and then moving right along, but I like to imagine there might be a couple of people following me who are just wondering to themselves, when is that Dust dude going to write something else? For them (if they exist), here is a picture of a tree.

I go without the Internet for a week and I come back to over 800 notifications. I didn't even need to check my inbox to figure out that the story I submitted to EqD before leaving got accepted.
