> Introduction

AS the UNSC deployed the fire team EQSC onto the planet Requiem, the Spartans within the Pelican were preparing and readying themselves for the tough fight ahead.
They had been briefed on the mission moments ago, they knew their task. Assault the Covenants position and find Dr. Halsey. 
On their journey to the landing zone they add started to enable their weapons. The fire team consisted of five Spartans all acquainted and knew each other very well, each Spartan went by a code name which was then shorted on their service tags. These Spartans were: 
Spartan Discord - Well know throughout the fire teams as a trouble maker and very mischievous, he enjoys spreading chaos throughout the battle field and quite sarcastic from time to time.
Spartan Shining Armour – A Natural born leader, very intelligent and has the strength to go with it, but he’s still compassionate and caring for his troops regardless of his higher authority as the leader of the fire team.
Spartan Twilight – The younger sister of Shining Armour, equally intelligent if not more, great at doing the logical thing, A problem solver and enjoys reading.
Spartan Dash – A sporty, competitive women. She is always aiming to be the best she can be and hates losing. This can sometimes lead to some foolhardy attempts to prove herself to her colleagues and the higher ranks of the UNSC. Regardless of this she will always stay loyal to her friends.
Last but not least Spartan Fluttershy – As you can imagine she is quite shy speaks quietly and her true strength is brought out by her friends. She prefers to go by Spartan Tree as she has a love nature and animals.

> Chapter 1 - Deployment

The Spartans arrived on the landing zone relatively quick. The fire team took their first steps out of the pelican and they realized that they had been dropped off in a dense, lush, green forest.
“Ok team does anyone know how far away we are from the objective?” asked Shining Armour
Twilight already prepared, had instantly tried to familiarize herself with the surroundings and said “The objective is only to click south from here” stated Twilight.
“Good job Twily, if that’s so, Dash go scout ahead and report your findings”
“Yes sir!” Said Dash enthusiastically, like a lightning bolt Dash quickly disappeared into the dense shrubbery of the forests canopy.  
Although focused on the mission Fluttershy couldn’t help, but gaze in awe and intriguement at the forest that was teeming with life.
“Just look at this planet, it’s just beautiful” 
“It’s quite a spectacle isn’t it” replied Discord 
“Indeed” nodding with agreement 
“Who knew that the forerunners got sent to such nice places when they did bad things, I think I would’ve fit in quite nicely with them” Discord thought to himself.
“Y’know it might look better with some fire and some dead covenant everywhere”
“NOO!” wailed Fluttershy.
Discord burst out into laughter “I’m teasing you!” Discord wiped a little bit of liquid pride from his eye.
“you're Just a Meany Discord” Fluttershy said with a humph  
“Spartans try to stay focused on the objective; I think we’re getting close to having our first look at the Covenants position.”
“Hey guys up here!”
The Spartans looked up and saw Dash was up on a ledge just above them.
“The coves are this way, follow me” Dash ran back into the vantage point and her team mates followed.
“So here it is the covenants position, I’ve been watching it for a little while now and you can see there’s a big spire in the middle that’s emitting a force field that protects it from any incoming fire, now if we could get inside we could disable the shield we could get a bit of assistance from the infinity or another fire team.”
“Right I get that, but how are we going to infiltrate the shield there’s no passing through it unless it’s turned off,” Said Shining Armour.
“Well luckily when I got here I noticed that there was a supple convoy that passes through regularly, if we could somehow sneak onto it, then we could pass through the shield unnoticed, it seems that they must have a small outpost nearby” explained Dash.
“Then that smaller spire over there must be the supple convoy’s outpost?” suggested Twilight
“That looks like our only hope for this,” said Shining Armour.
“Oh boy more trekking through the dense forest canopy on the uncharted planet with things that may or may not want to kill us,” moaned Discord.
“I know but it can’t be helped, come on team let’s give it all we’ve got!”

> Chapter 2 - Ambush

Several hours later the fire team have snuck up on the outpost and are preparing to strike and then infiltrate the stronghold.
“Ok lay down low, we don’t want to be seen,” ordered Shining Armour.
“Dash what do you see?”
“There only seems to be one Elite and a couple of grunts,” replied Dash
“Yeh I think we can take ‘em” said Discord
Shining Armour nodded in agreement.
“On my mark jump out and take out the enemy swiftly and quietly, Three, two, one.”
The Spartans jumped out of the bushes and assassinated as many of the enemies as they could before picking of the grunts with their guns.
“Quickly into the phantom!” (Flying vehicle of the covenant that was used to transport the supplies can carry troops as well). 
“Tree onto the wheel.”
Although a quiet individual, Spartan Tree is skilled in many things such and a valuable asset to the team.
“Ok” said Tree quietly.
“Everyone buckle up and prepare yourself, this is about to get serious.”
“Well, this is tem times better than walking” said Discord.
“And much more effective for this type of mission” added Twilight.

> Chapter 3 - Preperation

A good few minutes had passed and the fire team had moved into position, after flying over the forest, they were hiding behind a mountain ready to dock and infiltrate the covenants position.
“Based on Dash’s finding, about a minute from now should be the time when they start to expect the resupply from the outpost we just attacked, so the plan is we fly in, try to act normal, try not to get spotted, find doctor Halsey, take down the shield, call in ordnance from the infinity and escape with only seconds to spare,” Twilight explained out of breath.
“You’re kidding… you’re kidding right?”
“Sadly she isn’t Discord; it’s the only way, a risky manoeuvre, but if it’s done properly it will pay off” replied Shining Armour.
“We’ll go down as heroes!” Said Dash eagerly.
“Maybe Dash, I guess it’s time to find out, Tree fly us in.”

> Chapter 4 - Inflitration

“Steady Tree steady we don’t want to give ourselves away”
“Ok…” 
As EQSC slowly approached the shield, an Elite saw them and ordered a grunt to let down the shield. The fire team slowly but surely were getting one step closer to Halsey and getting back to the Infinity.
“Team when the enemy board the ship to get the supplies they will realize that there aren’t any, so when they realize quickly dispose of them so no alarms are set of” ordered Shining Armour.
“Yes sir!” responded the team.
“Hush now I think there coming.”
Shining Armour gave the hand signals and the fire team let the shadows consume them. A couple of seconds later the patrol squad entered the ship and it was filled with light once again. The fire team hidden in the crevices of the ship remained unseen. 
The patrol squad got to the middle of the ship before realizing that there was no cargo. Suddenly the fire team jumped out utilizing the element of surprise eliminating the enemy in a flash.
“Great work, now let’s advance before they begin to notice that this squad isn’t responding.

> Chapter 5 - Oh no

The fire team began to go deeper into enemy territory
“Just from looking at the size of these hallways and rooms this base must go pretty deep underground, Dr. Halsey could be anyway!”
“This place does seem to be really complex Twily, but it’s not impossible I figured if we could get to the top of the spire that’s most likely is going to hold valuable info and maybe even Halsey.”
“So anyone see a quicker way up?”
“Erm I do” Fluttershy mumbled.
“Which way?”
“Down this corridor but err.”
“But what you seem unsure what is it?”
“There’s Hunters!”
The Tiny wail that Fluttershy let out alerted the Hunters to their position and now they have to fight.

> Chapter 6 - Hunters

Hunters: a colony of space worms inside a metal suit. Armed and dangerous with a shield on one arm, that’s made of the same material as there super carriers and a deadly Fuel Rod cannon on the other arm, deadly enough to harm the powerful of super soldiers. The motive of why they joined the covenant is unknown, also form a political stand point no one is sure either, but we do know one thing for sure, that the Hunters are the heavy support of the covenant and there a force to be reckoned with. 
“Well great, just look what you did now.”
“Quiet Discord I know this situation could have been avoided, but I think we would have had to have done this anyway, well Spartans it looks like we’re gonna have to do this engage!” Commanded Shining Armour
The fire team burst into action and charged at the hunters. The hunters more than prepared, went into their defensive positions with theirs shields held close to deflect oncoming bullets and the fuel rod cannon armed and ready. The Spartans unleashed a wave of bullets, but it made the hunters look like nothing more than a fire work.
Not even disturbed by the amount of oncoming fire, the Hunters began to fight back by shooting the Spartans with their fuel rod cannons. The first shot was aimed at Dash. Aware of the oncoming attack she dodged it by back flipping. The shot didn’t even graze her.
The Fuel Rod blast left a green mark on the floor hat looked like it had melted the metal floor and was way to hot to touch with bare flesh.
Dash landed back on the floor with ease. The hunters rallied themselves for another attack.
“There’s gotta be a weak spot somewhere on these things keep looking” Shining Armour ordered.
This time Dash and Twilight attacked the Hunters head on, while the rest of the team supported with gun fire.
The fighting only ever stopped when they had to reload. Dash and Twilight continued to dodge the large swipes from the Hunter’s shield when they got close and bombardments from their Fuel Rod Cannons when they were at range. It seemed impossible to win until Twilight had an idea.
The Hunters always seemed to try and face them head on. What was behind them? She needed to know this could be the key to their victory.
“Dash, draw it’s fire I have a plan!”
“Ok!” Dash nodded in agreement.
Dash attempted a risky manoeuvre and ran straight at the first Hunter, the rest of the team were occupying the second Hunter so they had their backs covered.
Dash knowing what to expect, jumped before the hunter could hit her. The Hunter realising this turned around after it had retrieved its hulk of an arm.
Twilight now seeing her chance, she quickly examined the Hunters back, looking for any weak spots. Then she noticed the metal carapace covering the Hunters back didn’t fully protect it. Some of the colony was exposed, this must be it.
Twilight charged at the Hunter, focusing all her energy into one punch. The Hunter unaware of the oncoming Twilight continued to concentrate on Dash. Just before she hit the Hunter, she took a small leap. Using all the downward force and all her energy, her fist of cold steel collided with the slimy fragile network of worm. The internal fluids of several of the worms began to spurt out blood, covering Twilights hand in the orange blood and staining her purple armour.
Twilight could feel the worms every pulse of life slowly fading away, some worms more than others. The worms had tensed up stressed and unsure how to react to this pain. Twilight removed her hand; they now knew how to beat this monstrosity.
The Hunter barley able to stand prepared itself for its last stand Twilight and Dash changed clips in their guns and began to unleash hell on the Hunter for the very last time.
