Ninja Attack Five: Save the Child.

"Mommy, where is daddy?", asked Princess Skyla, coming into the room.
"Daddy", began Cadence, as she washed the dishes, "Oh, He is just off partying with all the Princes, while he leaves me here to do all of the dishes. He is such a Chauvinist PIG!!!!"
"What's a Chauvinist pig, mommy?", again asked Princess Skyla.
"Your father is a chauvinist pig, Skyla, my dear."
"Well, mommy, I thought you loved daddy?"
"Oh I do, Skyla dear, but I just hate it when he is a Chauvinist pig, that's all."
"Well, mommy, you still never answered my question. What is a Chauvinist Pig?"
"Oh Skyla", Cadence chuckled, "You are just so cute. Don't worry, you will learn in time. Until then, however, do you want to play a board game with mommy?"
"I want to go outside!", complained Skyla.
"I already told you dear, you shouldn't go outside when it is raining. Ever. You might get your hoofs all wet."
"I want to go outside!!!", complained Skyla.
"Well, Skyla, if you complain again, I might have to tell daddy, and we wouldn't want that, now would we?"
"No, no mommy! NOT THAT!!!"
"Good, now what board game do you want to play?", asked Cadence sweetly.
"Mommy, do we have to play a board game, can't we play something else?"
"Well, what else would we play my little schmumkin?", asked Cadence.
"Well, Can we ask auntie Chrysalis?"
"I don't want to bother her, though, Can't you think of something else?"
"Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaasssssssseeeeeee Mommy?", little Princess Skyla put on her frownie puppy face, and Cadence could not bear it.
"Okay okay", Cadence chuckled before reaching over to the phone to dial Chrysalis' phone number.
Princess Cadence dialed 348-692-0423. Chrysalis immediately picked up the phone.
"Hello", answered Chrysalis. She sounded tired.
"Oh, hi Chrysalis, this is Cadence, you know that princess that you locked in a cave, and would have let die."
"Ohhhhhhhh". Chrysalis answered, "How have you been my darling, How are things? How is the hubbie?"
"Good. Good. I have a child now, you know?"
"Really? Well, that is just great. I'll have to come over sometime, and we could all have a big, happy family reunion. What do you think?"
"Yeah... Maybe.... Anyways, Look, I was wondering if you had any board games that me and my daughter could play. Shining Armor is off with his friends, and I want to make sure that me and my darling daughter have something fun to do."
"Oh yeah hang on there darling. Let me just check. Okay, well, I have a few games here. Sorry, time is different up here in Changelore. Anyways, I have Jumanji."
"No, we already played that board game a million times. What else do you have?"
"Well, I have... how about Ninja Attack Five: Save the Child?"
"Well... We don't have that one. What's it rated?"
"It's rated 'F' for Foal."
"Alright, send that one right over then."
"Okay, its been an honor talking to you Cadence my dear. Please, you'll have to have me over again sometime."
"I will mention it to Shining, and I will let you know."
"Okay, thanks Cadence my dear, have a good day over there."
"You too Chrysalis... You too".
Cadence hung up the phone, and turned to Skyla. She was just about to speak when Skyla, the little ball of energy that she was, spoke first.
"Is it coming? Is it coming?", asked Princess Skyla.
"Yes, yes dear. It is coming. Just give it some time, okay?"
"I want it now, mommy, NOW!!"
"Now Skyla, we don't always get things right away? You must have patience, especially if you are to grow into a beautiful princess, do you understand?"
"Yes mommy... I sorry."
Cadence let a smile come over her face as she watched her beautiful daughter repent. It was heart-warming. Cadence was just about to say something, when the castle door bell rang. Princess Skyla burst with energy.
"ITS HERE!!!! ITS HERE!!!!!!", Little Skyla rushed over to the door, with her mother following suite. Cadence just chuckled down the hall, as she watched her little schmumkin run around with energy and excitement.
"Hurry Mommy!! Hurry!!", Little Princess Skyla was so excited. It fuzzled up Cadence's loving heart.
Anyways, Cadence finally got to the door. She pulled a pen from Shining's desk, ready to sign. However, no pony greeted her at the door. She looked every which way, but there was no pony in sight. Then, she looked down, and there was a game board sitting there. It had a group of ninja's, the mother of Chrysalis, and a child Chrysalis tied up over a bucket of acid. Cadence was intrigued that the game would have such a weird design. She was a little suspicious, but Little Skyla soon stopped those thoughts.
"Look Mommy... Look!!", exclaimed Skyla, with the board game in hoof, "Lets play it, pleeeeeeeaaaaasssseee?"
Cadence chuckled, and then responded with, "Of course, we will play it dear. Of course."
Cadence picked up the game, closed the door, and her and little Skyla went over to the, as her family called it, the board game table. They sat down, unpackaged the game, and then opened it.
"Hey Mommy", began Skyla, "Should we wait for daddy and brother to play?"
"No, of course not", began Cadence, "This is you and me time, darling, so we are going to spend it together. Daddy and your brother are out doing things together, and, just as they are doing, so will we, now let's read the directions."
Cadence, one of the only members of her family who actually ever took time to read the directions, opened the information packet to find a warning. It read as follows...
WHOSOEVER BEGINS THIS GAME CAN NOT REVERSE THIS GAME. PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK, AND DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE MASKED VIGILANTES. ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT WHEN ALL HOPE SEEMS LOST, IT IS NOT. FIGHT THROUGH THE BONDS AND FIGHT FOR THEM. ONLY THEN WILL YOU DISCOVER THE TRUE MEANING OF FAMILY. AGAIN REMEMBER THAT ONCE THIS GAME BEGINS, IT CAN NOT BE REVERSED. Cadence wondered why their would be such a warning, but she didn't take much of it. She skimmed through the rest of the directions, and found a note. It read, Made in China. No Refunds. Cadence didn't have a horse feather's clue what China was, but she laughed at the silly name nonetheless. It was time to play.
"Okay, Skyla darling, are you ready to play?", asked Cadence.
"Yes Mommy! Yes!! Let's play... I wanna play!!!, But wait, How do we play?"
"Well, it says here that all will be revealed after we press this button, so are you ready?"
"YES!!"
"Alright, do you want to press the button, then dear?"
"Yes Mommy! Yes!!!"
"Alright, here you go"
Cadence handed the board game over to Little Princess Skyla. Skyla slammed on the button, and the game began. The room began to darken, and Cadence was hit on the head from behind. She went out cold, but not before seeing her little schmumkin taken by three black clothed figures. Then, she looked up again, and saw a big ninja standing over her. The ninja raised his foot, and stomped directly on Cadence's face. Cadence went out cold.

When Cadence awoke, she found herself sitting on a cold, hard floor. It was dark, and still raining out. There was no pony around still, so Cadence thought that she must have had a bad dream. However, it was when she called out for her little Princess Skyla, that she realized that something was wrong. She turned every which way, looking for Skyla. She realized that she was hit, and knocked out by three figures in dark clothing, and then it hit her. Little Princess Skyla had been filly napped. Cadence screamed at herself on the inside, wondering how this could have happened. Then, she remembered the game. It must have been Chrysalis! Cadence realized to herself. Cadence went over to the phone to first call Shining, and then to give Chrysalis a piece of her mind. However, when she picked up the phones, she realized that they were dead. The phones weren't working. At first, Cadence thought that the culprits had cut the phone wires, but then, when she checked, she found out that there was nothing wrong with them. This meant that the phones just weren't working, and this didn't make any sense at all. Especially since Shining had just fixed them not two days before leaving for his trip with their son and the rest of Shining's friends. This didn't make sense. Cadence began to panic. Then, she knelt down and cried, but then, a disembodied voice began to resound from the board game.
"Cadence", it began.
"Wh-- Who are you?", asked Cadence.
"I am the instructions to this game, my lovely Cadence, I am here to tell you to get off of your butt and go and save your daughter. She is in grave danger."
"What do you mean?", asked Cadence.
"I mean... She is sitting over a vat of acid, and if you don't save her soon, then she will be no more. Do you understand?"
"Wait! What? Can't you reverse this?"
"No Cadence. No. What has been done can not be reversed. The only way to stop this is to save your daughter. You must do it now or forever lose her. This is not a fake game, Cadence, if you do not save your daughter, then she will be killed. Save her!! Save Her!!!"
The disembodied voice slowly dissipated back into the game from whence it came. Cadence realized that she had placed herself in danger and more importantly, her daughter in danger. She realized, also, how Chrysalis had gotten the game and why the cover image was what it was. Chrysalis had played this game with her mother way back when, and this meant that Chrysalis' mother had saved Chrysalis. Then, it hit Cadence, no literally, something hit her. A book. Cadence picked it up, and read it aloud. It read...
Whosoever has begun this game must first discover this game. This game is not suppose to be a device to be had fun with, but it is instead suppose to be a device for the betterment of the family. This game teaches the family to get closer together, to rely upon each other more. This is for the wife who thinks that her husband is a chauvinist pig, and this is for the husband who thinks that his wife is a lazy, no good doer, if that even makes sense. Now, listen, the enemy of this game is a very hard enemy to defeat. In fact, it is my guess that right now, they are watching you. Your every move, in fact, so be wary. The enemy is the ruthless ninja who will stop at nothing to accomplish his goal, in the case of this game, that is to destroy both you and your child. To defeat a ninja, you must master three primary skills. One: You must always be vigilant, Ninjas are never seen or heard, so be on your lookout. Two: You must fight like a ninja, and then some. Three: You must don your Rambo outfit, and you must totally defeat the ninja with your awesome 'eye of the tiger' skills. Do you understand? In that case, let the game begin. You will find your child in her bedroom. You will also find the ninjas there, too, so be smart. The rest of the book will guide you along as to how to fight Rambo style and ect. Good luck, young pony, and may the force be with you.
Cadence spent an hour reading the book, and practicing. She was a quick learner. After learning the style of the ninja, Cadence took to the stairs that led to Princess Skyla's bedroom.
Cadence made it to the door, and then she donned on her Rambo outfit. She pulled out the radio and began playing eye of the tiger. She raised her right leg, and kicked the door in. The door blasted open, and there was Skyla.
"SKYLA", yelled Cadence as she began to run to her daughter who was slowly being lowered into a vat of acid.
"Mommy!!", yelled Skyla, "Mommy, watch out!!!", Skyla yelled, but it was too late.
Cadence felt a piece of chlorophyll slipped over her mouth. However, it was not held there long enough. Cadence kicked the ninja culprit in the knee. The ninja fell backward, dropping the chlorophyll, giving Cadence enough time to spin around and kick the ninja culprit in the face. The ninja flew backward with a thud, and went out cold. Cadence smiled to herself, thinking that she was pretty hot. However, there were more than just one ninja. There were a dozen ninjas.
"Take her!!", yelled the ninja leader.
Cadence was ready. The first four ninjas surrounded Cadence. Cadence glared up at all of them, and waited for the right moment. They all sprung at Cadence at the exact same time. It was their mistake. Cadence jumped up, and let all of the ninjas fall into each other. Cadence let out a chuckle, and then proceeded to take on the reinforcements. There were many, but it was nothing for Cadence.
"Go Mommy! GO!!!!!", yelled Little Princess Skyla to her mother. Little Skyla cheered her mother on. Cadence was very proud.
"I'm so proud of you, my little Schmumkin!! You are so brave!", Cadence yelled this to her daughter before smashing the heads of two ninjas together. They both went out cold. Cadence blew a little kiss to her little Skyla before doing a flying roundhouse kick and knocking out two more incoming ninjas.
The battle continued like this. Cadence was defeating all of the ninjas. No one was getting past her. However, it was at that moment that Cadence realized something. She had forgotten Skyla. She turned around, and found out that Skyla was only inches away from touching the vat of acid. Skyla was crying so dreadfully right now. Cadence was so adrenaline- filled that she didn't realize herself fly from off of the ground. She flew head first into the rope, and detached it quickly. Then she caught her little Skyla. She turned around and saw that a sign read, 'Game Exit'. Cadence read that the Game exit happened after you won the goal. This was Cadence's chance. She rushed, Skyla in her mouth, to the exit. However, the Main Ninja leader stopped her dead in her hoofs.
"Can't let you do that, Princess.", said the Main Ninja Leader.
Cadence put down Skyla and said, "I would like to see you stop me!".
"I won't have to", said the Main Ninja Leader. It was true, he didn't have to, because at that moment, Cadence felt something being clasped over her mouth. It was a ninja, and he had applied another thing of chlorophyll to Cadence's mouth. Cadence tried to struggle, but it was no use. Other ninjas began to pounce on her, weighing her further and further down. Her eyes began to shut. She heard faint yelling. Her daughter, Skyla, tried to call for her. It was no use. Cadence was going out. She began to come in and out as the chlorophyll's effects grew deeper and deeper, worse and worse. Finally, her eyes shut, but not before she saw the Main Ninja Leader apply some of the Chlorophyll to her little daughter, Skyla. Then, a ninja stung her with something. She immediately went out, cold, and darkness came in...

Cadence came back in and out of reality. Her eyes slowly opened and then closed. She had a feeling of nausea, but she couldn't quite remember why. Then, she went to move her front legs. She couldn't. Actually, come to think of it, she realized that she was in mid-air. Then, she looked down. There was a bubbling vat of acid. Cadence realized something. She had been tied up over this vat of acid with her daughter, Skyla. She struggled to get out of this thing, but it was no use. Her bonds were secure, tighter than anything she had ever experienced. She remembered one time when her and Shining Armor were kidnapped together. That was the time when Shining first kissed Cadence. What a romantic evening that was. Cadence also remembered that those bonds were tight in both ways, but these bonds were the tightest bonds that Cadence ever experienced. Ever. She continued to struggle, though, trying to find a way out of this mess. It was no use.
Eventually, Skyla woke up. She looked around and screamed, but Cadence was able to stop her.
"Skyla, darling, there is no need to scream. We'll get out of this.", said Cadence.
"But-- But Mommy, we are tied up over a vat of acid! How are we going to get out of this?", asked Skyla.
Cadence saw this as her window of opportunity to tell little Skyla all about the life of a prince and princess, so she did.
"Well, you see my little schmumkin, when you live the life of a prince or princess, you are always getting filly napped."
"Really?", asked Skyla, "Did Daddy ever get fillynapped?"
"Oh yes, numerous times. In fact, me and your dad have gotten filly napped over three hundred times."
"Really Mommy?"
"Oh yes, and that's together. Separately, well, separately, I don't even know. I have lost count."
"Really? Wow Mommy... I never knew that we would always get... fully napped. Hey Mommy, did brother ever get fully napped?", asked Skyla.
"Oh yes, but only once. Remember, he is a year older than you. Also, dear, its filly napped, not fully napped."
"Oh Okay mommy, so hey, mommy? Ummmm, what age do you normally get fuu--filly napped?"
"Oh, well, it usually happens around your teen years. For some reason, that's when your most vulnerable."
"Really Mommy? But, what about--"
"Now listen, Skyla dear, Mommy has to concentrate right now, so that we can be freed before the evil ninjas come back. Can you give mommy some time, and then I will answer every question you have until your heart's content. Does that sound good to you?"
"Okay Mommy! I will."
"Thanks dear, I am so proud of you my little schmumkin."
Cadence continued to try and struggle, but to no avail. It was no use, the bonds were just too, too tight. Also, because Cadence and Skyla were in the air, it made it where every time that Cadence tried to struggle, the ropes would just sway back and forth. It was horrible. However, the good thing was that the ropes were not being lowered into the vat full of acid yet, so that was a good sign.
Cadence continued to struggle for what seemed like ages. However, she just could not get herself and Skyla untied. It was getting frustrating. It was at that moment when the Main Ninja Leader came back into the room. He greeted Cadence and Skyla with a sinister look. Then, he began to speak.
"Oh my oh my oh my", he began, "Look at these poor, poor souls. Mother and Daughter tied together over a vat of boiling acid that will melt the flesh off of your bones. Poor, poor souls. Well, at least, they have each other, right my minions", the Main Ninja Leader turned around to his minions who all agreed and laughed with an evil, sinister laugh.
"Listen You!", Cadence interrupted, "You won't get away with this! Don't you realize that villains never win!!"
"Oh poor, poor pink pony. How poor you are. Don't you realize that I am not a villain, I am a ninja. A full-on ninja. I don't fight for anyone, I fight for myself, and for this game. No one else. So it looks like you are going to have to lose because you're not fighting some one with rules."
"Listen!", yelled Cadence, "I will not allow you to hurt my daughter! You had better stop this right now or so help me, I will--"
"You will what?!", interrupted the Main Ninja Leader, "I have been watching you try to escape from those bonds for the past hour. Nothing you did allowed you to escape. Nothing. Do you truly expect that now, all of a sudden, that you are going to get out of these bonds? Of course not! It is purely illogical! Impossible! You know, I don't even know why you ponies play these games! Don't you ever read the directions? Because you didn't read the directions, you are now--"
"But I did read the directions!", interrupted Cadence in her defense.
"No... You probably read the warning, but you didn't read the directions. That is why you are here, is it not? You knew there was more to the directions, but you just didn't want to look at the rest. You got lazy!! And No, because of it, both you and your daughter are tied up over a vat of boiling acid soon to be lowered into it. I just can't believe you ponies. I just can't believe you. Anyways, since I my as well say it, Any last words?"
Cadence turned to her daughter and whispered, " I love you". Princess Skyla turned around to her mother and also replied with the same answer. Cadence gave her daughter a kiss, and then lowered her head in shame. The Main Ninja Leader again spoke.
"Oh how sweet?", he said sarcastically, "Lower them into the acid!!", The Main Ninja Leader exclaimed.
With that, the ropes that were holding both Cadence and her daughter began to be lowered. Cadence began to cry, knowing that there was no hope. No hope for her. No hope for her daughter. No hope for the rest of her family who would never see her again. It brought pity and shame to her eyes and to her face. She couldn't help it. Then, her daughter spoke up.
"Mommy", Little Skyla asked, "Why are you crying?"
Cadence turned to her beloved daughter, and spoke. "I am crying because there is no hope left, my dear."
"Mommy... There is always hope. Always. You always used to teach me that. Always."
Cadence looked at her daughter, and then she felt a surge pulsing through her veins. It was as if her strength was being doubled a thousand times over. It was crazy. It was unshakable. It was at that moment that Cadence knew that she had the strength to break free from these bonds. She pushed herself against the ropes, shielding Skyla within her right wing. Then, the bonds broke free, and the Main Ninja Leader was in shock.
"How is this!! How is this possible??!!", he screamed as he saw Cadence free from her ropes with a now safe Skyla. Cadence was shining forth a brilliant color, her whole body pulsating a beautiful bright pink. There was a backdrop of pure brilliant light. It shocked every ninja so bad, that every single one was knocked out. All except for the Main Ninja Leader......
----------------------------------------------------- Part Four -----------------------------------------------------------------
It was on. The Main Ninja Leader was about to fight Princess Cadence's ultimate form. This was going to be the battle of battles (how many of those have we had). Seriously, though, this was going to be a serious battle. I mean serious.
Princess Cadence put down Skyla. She told Skyla to wait right here, while she defeated the Main Ninja Leader. Skyla did what she was told. Cadence turned to the Main Ninja Leader.
"So", began Cadence, "It seems that I was able to defeat the bonds. Now, its time that I defeated you."
"You fool", began the Main Ninja Leader, "Now I really will have to kill you."
"What could you possibly do now, Main Ninja Leader?"
"You will see my dear princess". At this, Main Ninja Leader, who we will identify as Bob, charged Princess Cadence. Cadence was able to dodge and fly right past Bob. However, Bob was not a dumb ninja. He was a ruthless scum, a murderer. He used his quickness ability to quickly turn around, and knock Cadence out of the air. Princess Cadence hit the ground with a loud thud. Poor little Skyla yelled out for her mommy, but Cadence got up quickly and told her daughter to stay put no matter what. Skyla listened.
Bob charged Cadence again while she was vulnerable, however, Cadence used this to her advantage. She ducked out of the way, just as Bob's blade stormed down from the heavens. Cadence used her punch ability to slam her hoof into Bob's face. Bob went back with a ninja yelp, which are silent, as all ninjas are. Then, Cadence got up again and kicked Bob into the far side of the wall. After that, Cadence used her wing power to ram her unicorn horn into Bob's side. Bob let out a non-ninja howl, before beginning to beg for mercy. Cadence looked down upon him, and being the good princess that she was, allowed him mercy. She, however, made one almost fatal mistake. She turned around.
As Cadence turned around, Bob took it as his chance. Skyla screamed for her mother to watch out, but it was too late. Cadence turned around and was immediately pinned to the ground. She struggled, but Bob's strength was just too much for her. Bob took out his knife and pinned it against Cadence's throat. He then started to speak with an evil tone.
"After I kill you", he began to Cadence, " I am going to get your daughter, and I am going to throw her in that vat of acid, and I am going to watch her finally die!!" Bob was yelling and screaming and saying horrible things as he put more and more pressure upon Cadence's throat with the knife. Cadence continued to struggle, but there was nothing that she could do. She didn't honestly know what to do.
Then, just as the blade finally reached Cadence's skin, a blast through Bob into the acid vat. Bob began to scream and yell loudly, but there was nothing that he could do, and there was nothing that Cadence or Skyla could do. They watched and then finally turned around. They left the game. They entered the Game Exit, and won the game. They won the game.
The portal spun around and around until finally Cadence and Skyla were back home. They were truly back to where they belonged. They were truly home. Home. In the castle. They were tired. However, they were home. Cadence and Skyla turned toward each other, and jumped on each other hugging and kissing each other like never before. It was a beautiful sight.
After a while of hugging and kissing, both Cadence and Skyla agreed to get rid of the game. They didn't need it in their life, and they knew that no pony else needed it in theirs. They picked up the board, when something caught their eye. The board game cover was changing from a picture of Chrysalis' mother fighting off a hoard of ninjas to save her daughter to a picture of Cadence with her daughter fighting off a group of ninjas. Then, Cadence realized where the blast that threw Bob into the vat of acid came from. It was from her daughter, Skyla. Cadence turned to her daughter.
"Skyla?... Did-- Did you hit that Bob ninja with your unicorn magic?", asked Cadence.
"Well.... Yes mommy, but was that bad?"
"No Skyla... No. That wasn't bad. You saved me darling, you saved me."
"But-- But mommy, why did that man have to-- to die?"
"Well, honey, you see the path that you choose will lead you to different places. That Bob ninja fellow decided to choose the path of evil, and hence, he got what was coming to him. I wish that it could have ended differently for him, but, sadly, it didn't. Do you understand?"
"I-- I think so mommy. Can we get rid of this game now?", asked Skyla.
"Of course dear", began Cadence.
After this, Cadence and Skyla took the game to a far away place. They dug a very big hole, and threw the game in there. Then, they filled the ditch. They went back to the castle.
When they arrived, Cadence gave Skyla a bath. They retired for the night.
Cadence and Skyla woke up early the next morning to prepare for Shining Armor's return and for Chivalry, Cadence's and Shining's son, and Skyla's brother's return also. Cadence and Skyla got in their best dresses and outfits when Shining and Chivalry finally got home. Immediately, both Cadence and Skyla rushed over to Shining and Chivalry. They hugged them and kissed them and just showed so much love to them. It actually surprised both Shining and Chivalry.
"Woah", said Chivalry, "This is a ton more love than normal from my little sister", exclaimed Chivalry to Skyla.
"I agree Chivalry", said Shining, "What happened here?" asked Shining to Cadence.
"Its our little secret", replied Cadence to Shining.
"Well", said Shining, "If you won't tell me Cadence, I am sure that my little huggle bear, Skyla, will, so what happened here Skyla?", asked Shining Armor.
"Like Mommy said", replied Skyla, "Its our little secret".
"Well, in that case, I guess me and Chivalry will have to torture it out of you, right Chivalry?" Shining Armor turned to his son with a mysterious glare. Chivalry gave a nod to his father, and Cadence looked at Skyla with an expression of, "What are these two thinking?". Cadence soon found out.
"Tickle Fight!!", yelled Shining Armor as he and Chivalry charged at Cadence and Skyla.
"Oh No you don't!", yelled Cadence before running away and into the Living Room with Skyla. The rest of their day went like that. The Crystal Empire Royal Family all played and had a good time being a good old family. Every pony soon learned a/their lesson, and the board game, Ninja Attack Five: Save the Child, was buried and done away with.............. Or was it?...........
------------------------------------------------------- Two Days Later ------------------------------------------
"Hey Dad", said Chivalry, "Come look at what I found!"
"What? What is it son?", responded Shining Armor.
