Rainbow Dash wanted someone to love.... But she also wants someone to love her back. Too many times she's been heartbroken over little break-ups. Will the love of her life never come, or was the pony of her dreams right there all along?
My first FiM:fic! I hope you all enjoy!!! I was inspired by the handy work of NukaColaBomb and SgtRainbowDash, so I decided to make my own. They rock, you should SOOOOOO check them both out right now! And not in that way, silly's! :D Anyways, please enjoy!
Chapter 1
Oh, Derpy
Rainbow Dash paces on a cloud, back and forth, with tears flowing fast from her red-ringed eyes. Her rainbow mane is a mess, she has mascara running down her dull cyan cheeks, and her ears flopped down. Small droplets of water hit the apparently solid ball of fog. She would've stopped to wonder how the cloud was solid, but then she remembered she was a pegasus. A lame one, too.
"..I..I...I", she attempted to speak, but no real words came out.
She opened her mouth once more, and gets greeted with the salty taste of tears mixed with a little mascara. At this point, Rainbow Dash doesn't care anymore.
"W..Why....Why did he..." she stumbled around in her brain, looking for the right words to say.
"Why does...... Why does this always.... HAPPEN TO ME!" She screams out the last part.
She was enraged. There was no pony around to hear it, so it didn't matter. But even if some pony WAS around, all they would do is snicker at her and call her....
"A slut. No pony knows. They think i'm a slut. They think i'm a whore; and you know what? THEY'RE BUCKING RIGHT!"
Rainbow Dash breaks down and falls to her knees.
"I....I can't take it.... Anymore... all I want is a lover. I don't even care about the Wonderbolts anymore.... So what? What if I AM the best flier in Equestria? That doesn't mean i'm happy to be alone. All I want..... ALL I BUCKING WANT IS A CELESTIA DAMN LOVER! IS IT SO MUCH TO ASK FOR? Why..... I SAID WHY! DAMN IT!" she yells loudly.
"Why... Won't... Any.....Pony..... LOVE ME?!?" she screams in between sobs.
"..."
Rainbow Dash jumps and turns around quickly.
"Huh? Who's there? SHOW YOURSELF!"
"............."
Rainbow Dash is now SURE she heard something. But she doesn't see anything.....
"Umm.... Please?" Rainbow says politely, attempting to now coo it out of hiding. Needless to say..... It didn't work. That is until...
".........*Sob*...."
Rainbow Dash jumps up at the sound. She quickly faces the direction she heard the noise from, getting in her battle stance. Then she realized....Was it.... Crying!?!? She decided to take further action.
"Ummm.... Will you please come out? Don't worry, I won't hurt you....."
Dead silence.
She was about to go and check on what happened, when suddenly she was tackled from behind. She struggled to get a good look at who the culprit was, but she couldn't get up. Whoever this was, they were REALLY strong! Rainbow Dash saw the hoof of her perpetrator, and did what was needed to be done. She went a bit it. Hard.
The pony screams as it releases Dash. Rainbow Dash takes this moment now to kick it where the sun don't shine. Then, all in one swift movement, turns around and back-hands the inferior pony.
Dash jumps back to get a good look at it, and finds that it's none other than...
"DERPY!?!?!?!?"
Yes, it was none other than Ditzy Doo. Ditzy Doo with a probably broken nose (considering how she had a bruised nose and the fact that it was dripping wet with blood), an injured hoof which she was holding ever so tightly, and probably an excruciating....Well, nevermind.
Rainbow Dash and Ditzy Doo just stare at eachother with shock in there eyes.
Ditzy's eyes start to tear up a bit. She sniffles, then.....
"WWWWAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Derpy lets out a deafening scream of pain and anguish. It was then Rainbow Dash realized that she had a saddle over her back. Judging by the looks of it, that plus her weight was enough to take Rainbow down. But that still doesn't account for the fact that Ditzy just attacked her.
"Derpy..... Why? Why did you attack me like that? You of all ponies should know that I lash out when you surprise me, but attack me?" Rainbow Dash says softly but firmly.
Ditzy Doo sniffled, and didn't answer.
"Uhhh... Derpy?" Rainbow spoke, getting a little annoyed that she wasn't answering.
Ditzy just stood there in silence with her muzzle down, trembling in pain.
"Ok.... let me ask you one more time before I start to get really pissed. Why would you"-
She stopped short, hearing Ditzy mutter something under her breath.
"...What did you just call me?" Rainbow Dash snarled, bucking as a sign of dominance.
Once again, Ditzy Doo muttered something uncomprehendable, but a little louder. Damn, this mare was quieter than Fluttershy!
"......SPEAK THE BUCK"- she gets cut off again as an object gets flung at her head.
"DAMN IT BITCH! I'M GONNA BUCKING KILL YOU!" Rainbow Dash roared as she started running towards Ditzy.
Unaware of what was about to happen because she was still in a state of shock after the broken nose (the blood was still dripping out), she sat on her rump and started crying. Rainbow Dash suddenly stopped, as if she didn't expect Ditzy Doo to give up that easily.
Rainbow Dash sighed, and looked down at the now whimpering Ditzy, who was only sitting about a few feet away from her.
Dash looked at Derpy's hooves and realized she had something in them.
"If you even think about it...." Dash growled, showingly pissed off.
Ditzy then did the last thing Rainbow Dash expected her to do. She held the thing she had in her hooves. It was a letter. Rainbow Dash was in shock. She started putting one and one together, but it still wasn't coming out to make two.
She got up and handed the letter to Rainbow Dash.
".......Dewivery..." Ditzy Doo says silently, with tears streaming down her face.
She then turned around and left, in a pretty big rush, too. Rainbow Dash was going to stop her, but then realized that it doesn't matter. She'll get Derpy tomorrow.
"Oh, Derpy.... Why? I'm still so confused....." Rainbow Dash says.
She looks at the letter. There was something on it. It was a sticker someone put on to keep the letter shut. The sticker was in the shape of a heart. Rainbow Dash let out a sigh. Oh great. Either it's another "Secret Admirer" who, if they started dating, would probably easily take advantage of her like everyone else, or, it was the fact that it was the last kind of sticker that the pony had. But doesn't every pony know how to tuck in the flaps? You'd have to be worse than Derpy in intelligence..... Then something struck Raibow Dash so hard that she almost cried. There was some red marks also on the letter.
Rainbow Dash took a closer inspection and realized it was exactly what she thought it was. It was Derpy's blood.
She cringed. "Well", she thought to herself, "She got what was coming to her."
Rainbow Dash opened the letter. what she saw next to her made Rainbow Dash so confused, she had to stop and empty the contents of her belly off the side of the cloud. She wiped her mouth and then looked at the picture. Rainbow Dash just realized what a huge mistake she just made.
It was a hand-drawn picture, probably made from crayons. It wasn't too pretty, though. She could just make out what it was (It wasn't THAT bad, but she could probably draw better). It was a picture of Rainbow Dash. Above her head, there was a heart; and can you guess who was on the other side of the heart? Did you guess? It was Derpy.
Rainbow Dash nearly fainted, but then she brought herself back from her daze with a thought.
"Oh, wow! How could I be so ignorant?" she stammered. She walked back to the place that the other pegasus threw the object at her. There, laying upside down, was a muffin.
Rainbow Dash just stood there, not knowing what to think anymore. Tears started swelling up in her eyes.
"I'M A HORRIBLE PERSON!!!!" Rainbow Dash cried.
She finally realized it. What she just did to her poor, poor friend. Even if she DID kind of seem like she was attacking her, she still shouldn't have hurt her. She pondered on what was happening and came up with a solution.
"So..... Derpy saw me crying and wanted to cheer me up. That's why she didn't answer me. She wanted to have enough time to write the letter without having to do it in front of me. So it would be more of a surprise. And she didn't tackle me, she hugged me! It must of felt like she was trying to attack me because there were probably a lot of letters in the saddle. She wasn't calling me names under her breath, she was attempting to speak with crying again! She threw the muffin at me because either she didn't want to come closer to me in fear of being hit (while still wanting to give her the muffin to try to cheer her up), or she just didn't know what to do. Knowing Derpy, she was probably really confused and didn't know what to do anymore. So she did what she was best at. She was random. UGH! I FEEL LIKE SUCH A DICK RIGHT NOW!!!" Rainbow yelled angrily.
But then Rainbow Dash saw something else on the paper..... There were words. She took a deep breath a started to read out loud.
Dear Wainbow Dash,
I'm Vewy sowwy for not being able too tawk to you in powny (IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING, IT'S THE SAME THING AS SAYING IN PERSON! LIKE, NOT TALKING TO SOMEONE IN PERSON! GET IT? ..........DAMN), but i was weally newvous. You see..... ummm..... I kind owf..... uhh...... Like you. I know that you awe vewwy stwong, and smawt, and pwetty, and..... I'm nawt. But I feel a stwong connection wetween us..... I'm sowwy if you down't like me anymowre or if you never want to be my fwiend again, and I understand. The only powny's I ever see you with with are big stawwions; and I know that you pwobably didn't wike mares. I didn't until now. I'm vewwy sowwy that this was sudden, but.... I just can't wait any lownger. I weally want to get my feewings out..... again, I'm sowwy. And...... umm...... I wuv you.

Chapter 2
Mares or Stallions?
The next day, Rainbow Dash woke up looking ike she just had a hangover. Not that she would know, of course!!!! hehehe....
Anyways, Rainbow Dash, remembering what just happened the day before, slowly shuddered. She re-read the letter many times, just to make shure she was seeing it correctly. She was.
"So.... small recap of yesterday... I cried, I whined, Derpy heard me, she hugged me from behind, I got scared, I bit her hoof, I called her names, I broke her nose, I kicked her...... umm.... privates , I threatened to kill her and almost did, I got hit in the head with a muffin, and broke her heart. I wonder if she still loves me." Rainbow Dash sighed, thinking to herself.
"Well.... I HAVE been thinking..... I've only ever dated stallions, and they only seemed to end up stabbing me in the back.... Maybe I should take Derpy up on her offer."
*FACEHOOF*
"DAMN IT! I completely forgot about the fact that I just injured her physically and emotionally.... And that's just wrong! EWWWW!!! That's gross, dating the same gender pony! Isn't that illegal or something? UUGGHHH!!! WHY DO I HAVE SUCH MIXED EMOTIONS!!!?!?!?!?" Rainbow Dash glanced around to make sure no pony was around to hear.
"Well..... let's just break it down. The pro's....hmmm..... pro's pro's pro's.....Oh! It can give me an opportunity to try something new! I've never been with any pony but a stallion. Another one..... Derpy didn't seem like the type that would take advantage of her. Last, I find her pretty cute. Maybe even a little sexy! Mmmmmmm....." Rainbow Dash smiled. She didn't notice a little gasp that came from underneath her soft cloud. Then realizing what she just said.....
"...... WHAT THE BUCK! WAS! THAT!?!?!?!? Did I just admit my feelings about Ditzy to myself without realizing it? That's nuts..... but in a good way. But I don't think that i'm in good standings with a relationship with her anymore..... Considering I probably just lost my best friend and my lo...." She caught her muzzle before she said anything else. She could've sworn she heard someone giggling, but she decided to ignore it. It could've been an animal.
"Ugh, fine! I'm going. I'm gonna look for Derpy and explain that i'm sorry. But before that..... I gotta talk to Twilight." She shrugged, a giant blush on her face. Rainbow Dash got up, and left.
"WHY!!!!!?!?!?!? WHY DID SHE DO WHIS TO ME!?!?!?" I yell at the top of my lungs. I went to nurse Redheart and apparently I have a broken nose. This is going to make my speech inpedement even worse than it already is. Bucking shit. I'm guessing it also makes me curse a LOT more.
"......I wish..... I wish I didn't supwise her.... I wish I just gave her the letter. Then nowne of this would've happened....." she whines with sadness.
I look at my hoof. There's a scar from where she bit me too! This is gonna make it a lot harder to get a mate now. I look down in sadness.
"......So.... I gwess she dowsn't wuv me....." I say, with tears starting to leak from my eyes. Then, I perked up my head.
"Wait a sec...... Maybe she was a wittle shawcked that I hugged her! Maybe she does like me and now she's sowwy that she did that! I'm gowing to see her again!"
I finally reach her cloud. I hear her talking to some pony, but there's no pony there! Maybe she's just talking to herself. I hide in the bushes, in fear of being caught. She doesn't notice me.
".....Maybe I should take Derpy up on her offer."
Before I had a chance to let out a little fan girl squeal, I heard a loud smack. I couldn't hear a lot of it, but I managed to pick up a few words.
"That's just wrong! .....Illegal......Gross......Same gender pony!.....MIXED EMOTIONS!!!!?!?" Rainbow Dash let's out a loud sigh.
I see Rainbow take a look around. Good thing she didn't see me! She continues talking to herself.
"Ok... So the pros.........Something something advantage...... Cute..... Even a little sexy! Mmmmmm...."
I gasp. What the hay!?!? She's attracted.... To ME!?!? Then I realize that the gasp was a little loud, but she didn't hear me.
"WHAT THE BUCK WAS THAT!?!?!?" Rainbow Dash yells.
Oh no.... Did she hear me!!?!?
She said something else....
".....Considering I just lost lost my best friend and my lo...."
I giggled. Bad idea. I think she heard me!
"Going to look for Derpy..... Twilight."
I rush out of the bushes, quietly and quickly. This was going to be a good day, I just feel it!!!

Hey guys! Glad you can stop by! Many people commented on my story already, and you guys are the people that move me enough to write this story. Although, I AM in high school. oh! I mean, I am in high school. ;) someone told me that instead of capitalizing the words, I should put them in italics. Anyways, in high school, we have laptops. So, i'm able to keep on putting in bits and pieces in to my story. Sorry if it seems kind of off, i'm trying to pay attention to this and my teacher. Ugh, teachers use big words. I hope I don't end up accidently use words like "velocity", or maybe "masses." Those words are so corrupted!! Thanks! :D Enjoy! By the way, I took out Derpy's speech inpedement. "So..... I'm sexy?" I ask myself. I'm still a little shocked. I can't belive she thinks of me that way. Not that I have a problem with that or anything....I think to myself.
"I have to find her again! Maybe..... Maybe she also feels the way I do. I have to be brave, and face my fears. I... I'm going to talk to Dash. But how will I catch up to her?" I spoke aloud.
"Well, I guess I'll just fly to Twilight's. Maybe Dash is still there!" I squeal with joy. I take off, flying as fast as my little wings could carry me.

Rainbow Dash bursts through Twilight's window, completely obliterating the entire library. She gets up, and dusts herself off. She looks at Twilight, who is now completely surrounded by books.
"Hey Twi, uh..... didn't you tell me yesterday that you were gonna clean this up?" Rainbow Dash snickers.
"I did..... Did you fail at flying again?" Twilight Sparkle snorts.
Rainbow Dash sticks her tongue out. "You're talking to the best flier in all of Equestria!"
"Ugh, whatever. What do you want, Rainbow?" Twilight says, starting to put books away with her magic.
"Girl problems."
Twilight freezes, dropping her book. She starts laughing.
"Hahaha! For a second, I actually thought you meant you had mare problems. I like with dating. But now I know what you mean... I think. Do you mean that you want to help me with a problem I have? Because you did say you wanted girl problems."
Rainbow Dash gulps. She realizes that her friends might have something against.... her problem. Or, they might not want to have a friend that questions her sexuality and gender preferences. But that was a risk she's willing to take.
"....No..... It means that... I have... y'know.... mare problems." She manages to say, with a tight squeezing feeling in her stomache.
"What, did another stallion break up with you?" Twilight asks, still not getting it.
"No, it means...... I think I like a mare."
Spike, who was coming around the corner, drops his plate of gemstones and glass of milk. He stares at Rainbow Dash, not worrying about his gemstones anymore.
"You.... you don't like Rarity, do you?" Spike whispered, obviously worried about his crush turning bisexual.
"No! Never! It's really difficult to explain.... I did something really bad yesterday, and I got this letter..." Rainbow Dash replies.
"Ok, then I don't care." Spike answers, picking up a gemstone and stuffing it in his mouth.
"By the way, why is Twilight on the floor? Is she sleeping?" Spike asks.
Dash looks at Twilight, who must've passed out when I said I think I like a mare. Rainbow picks her up, and sets her on the couch.
A few minutes later, Twilight comes to. Twilight rubs her eyes with her hoof.
"Ugh..... I had the wierdest dream...... It was kinda silly actually."
She realizes Rainbow Dash was there with her, and she gasps.
"That..... That wasn't a dream, was it?"
Rainbow shakes her head.
"It doesn't mean I'm lesbian or anything like that. But yesterday I got this letter from some pony, and it says she really likes me; and...... I think I like her too."
"So.... who is this special pony your talking of?" Twilight asks politely.
No pony was expecting what was going to happen next.
Derpy comes crashing through the door, and with a mighty big grin, said-
"I am!"
Author's note: Celestia Derpy, you could be so random sometimes! Anyways, now that this chapter's over, I'll be starting with the next one. These last two chapters haven't been very long, but I don't want to make every chapter more than 1,500 words. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed! PEACE!! :P

Chapter 4
Telling the Truth
Everyone in the room gasped in unison. The room went silent, and nobody said a word. Twilight was the first to speak up.
"Dash.... is this true?" she spoke with unease.
Rainbow Dash looked up at her nervously. Would..... would Twilight not like me anymore if I told her the truth? she wondered, not knowing what to do.
"I.... umm.... I don't know...." she said, looking defeated. She took a glance towards Ditzy Doo. She was looking at Rainbow Dash, looking confused. Presumably she thought that Rainbow Dash loved her, but..... was she wrong?
"Rainbow.... If you like her, then just say it. I won't hold anything against you." Twilight spoke softly.
Dash took this by surprise.
"So... you wouldn't hate me?" Rainbow Dash spoke shyly.
"Hate you? Celestia forbid I should ever hate you for liking someone! Yes, I might not be glad about your decision, but whatever your heart desires, go for it."
Dash dropped to her knees, with tears in her eyes. I've.... never felt this way before..... I don't know..... She let out a cry sadness. Everyone rushed over to Rainbow Dash.... everyone except Derpy. She still had a confused look on her face, not knowing what was going on.
"Wow.... Derpy's so cute when she's confused.... although she's always confused!" She thought to herself. They all stared at her, except Derpy, who was jumping up with joy.
"Umm.... did I say that out loud?" she asked with a blush.
"Uh... Yeah.... Kind of..." Spike laughed.
"Well, I'll just let you know that I don't mind you and Derpy being hooked up! I think you guys would look cute together." Spike said happily.
""WHAT!?!?!?" Came a voice from behind them. Rainbow Dash behind her to see four girls standing in the doorway of the house.
There was Fluttershy, AppleJack, And Rarity... and angry ones, too.
"Well... maybe I shou've kept my mouth shut..." Spike said nervously.
"Yeah, you should've."
Author's note: Pretty cool story bro! I just finished my spanish class so I hope I don't randomly start talking in Espanol. Anyways, this was meant to be a cliffhanger/filler, so it's not long. The next one will hopefully be longer. Anyways..... ADIOS!(oh shit! XD)

...Wait, What?
"WHAT!?!?!?" the girls yelled. Rainbow Dash started growing pale to the face. She was going to make up an excuse, but then Derpy steps between them.(Uh-oh)
"Hey, hey, hey! Mares! Let's all be mature! We don't need to get so upset over this! Just because Dashie loves me, doesn't mean you have to hate her for it! You can stomp your hooves, you can call us names, but you'll end up just pissing yourselves off even more!"
Every pony cringes from hearing the vulgar language used by the usually very clean Derpy.
"I mean, before I even"- she was cut off by Rainbow Dash's hoof covering her muzzle. Rainbow Dash whispered into Derpy's ear.
Shut up! Your embarrassing me and yourself! Let ME do the talking!" Derpy's ears flop down, giving off her sad face.
The girls start walking towards us, obviously very angry. AppleJack was leading the ponies. She raised her hand to slap Rainbow Dash, until Twilight yelled, ["WAIT!!!!" Every pony cringed. Never have they heard Twilight yell before.
"Every pony.... I have a few things to say about what's happening here." Twilight began.
"I'd say so myself! I mean, that's just gross, wierd, uncomfortable; and no pony wants to be around a.... gay pony." Rarity huffs.
Twilight walks up to Rarity very slowly, but before Rarity spoke again, Twilight slapped her as hard as she could. Rarity froze up in complete and utter shock. Then, she started crying. No pony dared to move, deeply afraid.
"I'm sorry, Rarity. I just had to shut you up. Now, does any pony else have some smart ass comment to make?" Twilight said angrily.
They stood in silence. Twilight never curses. Even Derpy froze. That's a first.
"....Thank you. Now, if I heard correctly, Dashie and Derpy are, in fact, a couple. That does, in fact, make her bisexual. Not gay, or a lesbian. It means she likes both mares and stallions. There's nothing wrong with that. You can't control who you fall in love with. I completely understand Rainbow. Now, Rarity, why wouldn't you want to hang out with someone just because they're bisexual?"
Rainbow Dash walks up to Twilight.
"Umm, Twilight...."
She just continues her rant. This time, Rainbow Dash spoke a little louder.
"Hey, Twilight! Equestria to Twilight! Please answer me."
As usual, she just keeps on speaking. Rainbow Dash was starting to get annoyed.
"Twilight. Shut. Up."
"Not now, Rainbow Dash."
Rainbow would've liked to think that she quietly sat down, and waited until Twilight was finished speaking. But that's not what happened. Every single time Twilight denied her, Dash just got madder.
"Twiiiilllliiighttttt. Come on, I'm starting to get impatient...."

Twilight didn't seem to hear. That, or she just completely ignored Rainbow Dash. By now, Rainbow Dash was fuming. She couldn't think straight and she started feeling sick. Twilight's voice wasn't making the feeling in her gut feel any better, either.

Derpy started to tug lightly at Rainbow Dash's mane. Dash didn't notice it. She was too busy letting out all of her pent up anger. The next thing Dash says sends thousands of needles pricking into Ditzy's skin.

Everyone stared. Rainbow Dash never acted like this before. She never cursed, she rarely ever yelled, and her face was always.... well, not red. Derpy tugged a little harder. AppleJack noticed this, wondering to herself, Now how the hay isn't she crying right 'bout now? The pony she loved just completely denied her...
"UGH! YOU ALL ARE IMPOSSIBLE! ANYWAYS, WHAT I WAS TRYING TO SAY, WAS THAT IT'S NOT THAT I'M BISEXUAL, LESBIAN, OR FOR THAT MATTER, GAY; I WAS JUST TRYING TO LOOK FOR SOME HELP, THAT'S ALL! Derpy tugged even harder (If you haven't figured it out by now, she was pulling it with her muzzle. Just a little fact =D). But, because of her sudden outburst, she couldn't feel anything anymore. She didn't even feel her face heating up. She just let it all out. All of that pain and loneliness, all of that heartbreak. It all started coming back to her, from five years ago, where it all began....

Rainbow Dash's eyes fly open in a state of shock. She just sits there and takes it. Her originally deep red skin returned back to it's normal cyan color. Well, almost everything.....
