Electronic Notes and the gang now need to fight for the Crystal kingdom.
After surviving the club scene, after making amends while getting married, Electronic Notes has been at the brink that would drive a pony like him mad.
But when he and his friends arrive at the Crystal kingdom, King Sombra has returned and has the entire kingdom in a dark crystal dome.
Now Electronic Notes, along with his brother and an old friend of his named Sharp Edge, have to find a way to save the entire kingdom.
The train whistle blew on an early morning. The sun hadn't rose yet and the sky still had the look of the night. Stars twinkled while the moon shined down. The lights of town and the train gave the atmosphere an orange glow. It reflected off of a tan Pegasus with a messy, dark brown mane. He looked out the window with sleepy eyes.
His head snapped back at the sound of the door to his cabin being opened.
"Hey there handsome." A flirting tone said to him.
"Hey there honey." He said back. He turned around to see a white unicorn with a blue mane and tail. A pair of shades rested above her horn.
"Notes aren't you tired? Shows usually wear you out." She said to him.
The stallion only snorted. "Those shows make me tired cause of how fast I need to run before somepony tries to kill me." He said.
"Oh, you're so paranoid." The mare said with annoyance in her voice. She made her way over to the bed and laid down on top of his back. Her hoof found her way to his mane.
"But that's one of the reasons why I love you." She said as she kissed him on the cheek.
At this point, Notes no longer blushed, he was used to the feelings that he and his wife shared. But that didn't stop him from being so in love with her.
"And I love you for accepting me." He said as he kissed her lips.
"Just that?" She asked playfully.
"Well... I love you for your eyes, your mane, your colors, your looks, your personality, the fact that you love my voice. I also love you for your magic, and I mean the one you have on me, and well... everything about you." He concluded as he kissed her lips.
She giggled at his long statement as her husbands' lips back.
"Well Mister Electronic Notes, how long do you think until we make arrive in Ponyville to pick up our friends?" She asked seductively. Her half closed eyes and smile nearly made Notes' wings fly off.
"I say about-"
The door opened and he instantly laid down to hide his stiff wings. The conductor stood there.
"Well i'm shocked you two are awake but i'm here to say that we will be arriving in Ponyville in five minutes." He said that and simply left to tell any other passengers.
The two had left Canterlot after playing at a club. They took the late train and were on their way to Ponyville to meet the others. One of which had moved there and lived with his marefriend. That stallion was also Electronic Notes brother.
"Now where were we." Vinyl said as she wrapped her hooves around his neck and pulled him into another make-out session. But the door opened again to find a nervous looking unicorn with a green coat and an orange mane and tail. He looked at them with shakiness.
"We're gonna be there in-"
"Yeah we know Nova." Notes said.
Nova Burst was nervous for a reason. He had a crush on the pink mare that lived in the town they were going to. She was going with them.
"Sorry but i'm really nervous." He said.
"Bro, make a move." Notes said as he knew why his friend was nervous and waved him off.
"Hard Chord, I need you to wake up Spike." Twilight said as she ate an early breakfast.
"Got it Twi." Hard Chord said simply as he made his way up the stair. He walked into Twilights room and saw the dragons head poking at the blanket in his bed. Hard Chord simply shook it to wake him up.
"Come on little Spike. Time to get up." He said. Spike snuggled in and seemed to more comfortable at the rocking of his bed. Hard Chord realized that it was like rocking a baby to sleep. A sly grin crept across his face.
He picked up the bed and made his way to the balcony. He flapped his wings and took off into the sky. He held the bed tight to make sure it wouldn't fall and then said loudly.
"Spike wake up."
The dragon opened his eyes. When he saw the ground below and the feeling of being high up, he screamed and try to find something to hang onto.
"What's happening?" He yelled.
"Shut up. You'll wake the neighbors." Hard Chord joked. He flew back quickly at the sight of lights being turned on at houses and angry shouting coming from them.
As he landed, Spike crawled out of his bed and caught his breath. Twilight walked out and saw them.
"What happened?" She asked.
"Well let's all go in and get some liquor cause we'll need it for the explanation when the pissed off neighbors arrive." Hard Chord and his brother were known for having a good sense of humor.
"What?"
"Don't worry. It's happened when me and my dad fought." He said as he assured them back in.
They got back to the kitchen and ate. Spike was still sleepy and fell asleep on Twilights' back. But soon all the friends gathered around the train station.
While Twilight talked with her friends, Hard Chord had two friends coming along. Caramel, who kept glancing at Applejack and blushed every time she looked back. Soarin and Rainbow Dash snuck in flirty looks every now and then in their conversations.
A train whistle blew and soon the train pulled in to the station as a few ponies got out. Electronic Notes and Vinyl Scratch exited together with Nova Burst following.
"NOVA!" Pinkie squealed as she pulled him into a big hug. He nearly fainted but kept his cool.
"Hey guys." Notes called. He gave a few hugs and waves.
"Hey brother. How was you honeymoon?" He asked.
"Don't answer that!" His wife said assertively. She gave him a glare before going back to talking to her friends.
Notes leaned in and whispered, "First two days, never left the room." He said with a grin.
Hard Chord looked back and said, "I assume most of it was just sitting around waiting."
"Burn." Soarin.
"Lasted longer then your relationships." Notes said back.
"Ouch." Caramel.
Before his brother could snap back, the call of the conductor stopped him.
"Now leaving for the Crystal Kingdom!"
"Come on. We have a train to catch." Notes said as he ran back.
"This will be fun." Hard chord sarcastically.
The sun shined down as the ponies woke up on the train. They all got up and went to get breakfast.
"So remind me why we're going here in the first place?" Hard Chord asked.
"Princess Cadence invited us all the the Equestrian Games. Plus Shining Armor really wants to meet you." She said.
Hard Chord gave a nervous gulp at the sound of her brothers name. From what he heard, he sounded like the guy who bullied ponies like him back in the day. The Captain of The Royal Guards is an intimidating title to him as well.
"I'm sure he'll like you very much." Twilight said as she nuzzled him.
"We're here." Notes said as the train pulled up.
The sun shined brightly as they all stepped out and were greeted by not Shining Armor or Princess cadence but a yellow unicorn with a sage green mane and tail with swords for a cutie mark.
"Edge? Is that you?" Notes said.
"Yeah." He said. A grin on his face.
"Dude it's been forever. How are ya?"
"Well I've become a fighter now. My magic still makes blades and I've been assigned with watching the Kingdom."
"Great. Now can you please arrest me so I don't have to meet Twilights' brother?" Hard Chord pleaded.
"Sorry but you might meet him if I arrest you." He said.
But when he looked over, his heart raised at the sight of the butter colored Pegasus that he danced with at the wedding. But he had to shake the thought away as he addressed them.
"Well, let me be the first to say, welcome back to the Crystal Kingdom."
[A/N] I don't want to fucking talk about Valentines Day. She killed what was left of the good in me. I'm tired so let me be broken. Look down at the mess in front of me. Wait, got into typing lyrics like some dumb girl on facebook.
"I hope the druggies never find this place." Notes commented as they treaded the streets of the kingdom. The shining crystal walls of the building seemed to have lit the streets. The tower stood tall in the distance.
"Naw, I'm more concerned with your dragon friend then drug ponies." Edge said as they walked on.
"Hey! Spike is awesome. He knows how to control himself." Hard Chord snapped.
"Where is he?" Edge asked.
Hard Chord looked around the group and didn't see him. The little dragon was sucking on a building made of crystals, covering it with saliva.
"Well the boy's gotta eat." Hard Chord said sheepishly as he went over to pry the dragon from his snack. Spike resisted as he tasted a taste that would be unknown to his friends. Hard Chord kept pulling until Spike popped off and caused him and Hard Chord to fly backwards towards Fluttershy.
The mare screamed as she was knocked over to the ground. Sharp Edge trotted over and helped her up.
"Oh thank you-" Fluttershy cut her sentence off when she looked at Edges' eyes. They were aqua green just like his mane. Fluttershy had a hint of pink on her cheeks.
"You're welcome." Edge said to her.
"Didn't they dance at the wedding?" Vinyl whispered.
"Yeah. Edge is one of those ponies that's real quite until you get to know him. Once you do, he can be wild." Hard Chord said as Spike climbed on his back.
"Let's hurry. I need to meet Shining Armor and get my ass kicked." Hard Chord said.
"Come on. He won't do that." Twilight said as she shook her head."
"Well then lets go and see." Hard Chord said.
"I can't wait to see this." Notes commented as they entered the tower.
"You gotta be kidding me." Shining Armor sighed as he saw Twilights' coltfriend.
"Just like dad." Hard Chord said under his breath. It was true. Shining had the same reaction as Hard Chords' father when he came home with his piercing.
"BBBFF!" Twilight ran up and pulled her brother into a hug.
"Good to see you." He said as he hugged back.
"Hey where's Cadence?" Twilight asked.
"I don't know. She said she'd be here." Shining walked over to Hard Chord, who nearly coward in fear.
"Is this him?" He asked. Anger poorly hidden in his voice.
"Yep." Twilight said happily.
"Twilly, I love you but you could have done better."
"That was what my dad said when I was born." Hard Chord quipped.
"Hey! Shining I love him!" Twilight said. She had been hurt by her brothers comment.
"Twily I expected at least somepony that wasn't out casted in his foal years." Shining didn't bother to hise the harshness in hiss voice.
"Probably did better then you considering that i'm not a guard." Hard Chord said. Not showing anger and more like insulting him for a joke.
"Hey! I do better then some screamer!" Shining was on the verge of yelling.
While the two argued, Electronic Notes stared at the scenery. The glittering ponies below. One non-crystal pony caught his eye. A blue coat and an azure mane.
"Trixie?"
Suddenly a dark presence was felt. It seemed as though the happiness was sucked away.
"What are you trying to say?" Hard Chord yelled.
"I mean it. I don't want you dating my sister!"
Shining slammed his hooves down in anger. But as soon as contact was made...
Dark crystals rose from the ground. They separated Shining and Twilight from each other and from the rest.
"Oh buck!" Hard Chord yelled.
Sharp Edge lit his horn in a pink glow as a blade of magic appeared. He rushed forward and sliced it by moving his head. Only chip fell away from the prison.
"Crystals made for capturing are unbreakable. We need to move!" He yelled as the others made their way out. Hard Chord having to leave in tears at the thought of leaving his love.
"Move!" He said as they ran down a narrow hall way. Pinkie Pie lagged behind at the thought of leaving her friends. But when Crystal rose up in front of her, she knew that she thought wrong.
"HELP!" She screamed as she pounded at the wall.
"Pinkie!" Nova ran back to see Pinkies' tear stained face from behind the crystals.
"We can't Nova." Edge said as he pulled him away.
They kept moving. Crystals came from the walls and ceiling. Applejack ducked under one and lost her hat. Caramel grabbed it and kept moving.
But when when crystals rose up and around Fluttershy, even Edge tried to save her. Even if he said that he couldn't save the others.
"Hey Edge. We can't save her." Hard Chord said mocking him.
"Help me." She whimpered as the crystals closed and encased her in what looked like a gem. The gem rose away from the group.
"NO!" Edge yelled as she was carried away.
"Come on Edge. We have to go!" Soarin yelled.
They made their way outside to see the sky turn dark. Ponies everywhere were in a panic as crystal rose from grounds and from the walls of houses.
"Come on! There's a safe place I know of from the last time the shit hit the fan!" Edge yelled as he called the group over to an alley way.
But just as Applejack was about to get out, Two slim crystal pillars came from the wall shot forward. Applejack felt the air squeezed as as they pinned her.
"Caramel run!" She yelled. Knowing that he would try to save her.
"But I-"
"Go!"
Caramel felt tears swell up as he ran.
They kept going. But as they realized that were missing a stallion.
"Notes was behind Applejack when they got her." Vinyl had realized.
"I'll go look for him." Rainbow Dash volunteered. She took off.
"Wait! Take me with you!" She yelled.
"I'll take you." Soarin said as he picked her up and flew off and followed the rainbow trail.
Electronic Notes had ran about to find another way to the group. But a familiar mare blocked his path.
"Trixie. What are you doing here?" He asked.
"I'm here for work." But Notes realized what it was. Her eyes were green and her horn was red again.
"Who did this?"
"A stallion said he could give me the powers of the alicorn amulet if I worked for him." She had a hint of madness in her voice. Notes could tell that she was with whoever was behind this.
"Now I can't let you escape." She said as red ropes appeared.
"Great." Notes gritted.
She lashed out at him. Notes dodged but was caught by another and flung into a wall. He got up and charged at Trixie. She simply laughed evilly and kept lashing out at him more. Notes kept trying to dodge if it weren't for the second rope that would catch him by the hoof.
He charged and tried to kick by flipping and bring his hoof down on her. Even when he hit her, she got back up and lashed a rope that wrapped around his neck. She pulled him closer.
"You know, I always thought you were cute." Notes gritted his teeth and grunted in pain from the burning snesation in his neck. Trixie leaned in to kiss him but was cut off by a magic blast.
"Get away from him you bitch."*
Trixie looked up to see Vinyl Scratch land in front of her.
"Good. I was told I could capture my own target." She tossed Notes into the air and at Rainbow Dash, who failed to catch him and was knocked out the sky and into an opening crystal prison.
Soarin only glared. "You'll pay for that you bitch!"
Trixie only laughed. Vinyl turned back to Soarin.
"Get him out of here!" She yelled.
"But-"
"NOW!" She yelled.
Soarin only nodded and picked up Notes. He flew back to the group.
Vinyl charged at Trixie. Trixie lashed a rope out at her and wrapped it around her neck.
"No need to worry about your crystal prison, I have something else for you." Trixie said menacingly as more ropes came in the form of the burning red.
Vinyls' eyes widened in horror.**
Soarin landed back and set the tired pony down.
"Where's Rainbow Dash and Vinyl?"
"Gone."
"Well lets keep moving. It's just down here." Edge pointed as they walked down.
Just as they got to the shelter and saw several ponies there, another crystal wall rose.
"Rarity!" Spike ran over and pounded at the wall. It only got darker until it disappeared.
"He targeted the Elements of Harmony." Edge said simply.
"Who's he?" Caramel asked, setting down Applejacks' hat.
Rarity was in tears. The crystals formed around her and she felt her self being lifted. She closed her eyes to prevent herself from looking down.
After feeling the movement come to a stop, Rarity opened her eyes and gasped. Around her stood her friends in crystal prisons. They were all where the heart was hidden at the top of the tower. Shining laid defeated as King Sombra laughed menacingly at the dark orange sky. Trixie walked over and looked at the sight with him as crystals formed a dome around the kingdom.
Vinyl Scratch stood defeated with red ropes around her body and pinning her hooves. Rarity looked up and in the center stood another crystal prison with Princess Cadence in it.
* Aliens reference. Don't care what you all say but I really am liking Colonial Marines right now.
** Star Wars fans would recognize this one. This is a replica of the scene from Star Wars: Clone Wars. Not the CGI one but the animated one.

Shard Edge looked up at the tower. The six gems plus the one in the center above them made it clear where the Wielders of the Elements and the Princess went. A red glow that got brighter when it got darker answered the question about Vinyl. But Edge saw a dark figure along with a blue pony.
"Sombra." Edge said menacingly at the thought of him creeping at his mind. Edge glowed his horn and waved his magic blade around. He got his cutie mark when he used it too simply defend himself when he was young. But despite the ability, he didn't join the guards since he wanted to explore.
"So what's the plan. We can't just sit here while this 'Sombra' take's our girlfriends, wife, and crushes away from us." Hard Chord said while trying to comfort his brother, who was recovering from his attack and the thought of seeing his wife get taken. Soarin starring angrily while Nova and Caramel tried not to cry. Both of them unsuccessful.
"We wait." Edge said simply.
"Are you-"
"No. We need to strike when Sombra leasts expect it. We can't make ourselves a target or he'll take out this shelter." Edge looked at the group. The crystal ponies that made it obviously were terrified at the return of King Sombra.
"Why can you at least tell me how the hell this all happened?" Hard Chord asked angrily.
"Since the crystal heart is so focused on love and happiness, it drives Sombra away. But with the games coming up, the lack of it and more focus on that might have lead to this. Also your argument with Shining Armor caused some sort of unloved feeling. That and the fact that Cadence wasn't around to cheer them up, it's clear that he got in with all the negativeness going around."
"That is bullshit! Who could've felt unloved and 'not happy' during our argument. That asshole started it!" Anger raged in Hard Chord.
Edge looked over and saw Caramel with tears streaming down his face.
"Hey. Caramel." Edge called to him.
"Wh... wha... What?" He asked. Clearly being in shock from the vents that unfolded.
"You need to straighten up."
"But Applejack-"
Edge shook his head and said to him, "I know how you fell but we all know that right now we need to sit tight." Edge walked over and picked up Applejacks' hat. He put it on Caramels head.
"Don't worry." He said comfortingly. "We'll save them."
"You know what, I'll go up there and repel Sombra with my love for Twilight." Hard Chord said as he got out of the shelter and readied his wings.
"You can try." Edge said as Soarin walked over.
"Try? I'm gonna win." Hard Chord flew off and around the city to not give away the shelter. Edge looked over to Soarin.
"Go after him. No being hero and don't encourage him. I know Rainbow Dash is up there but I think we know that we can't just go up there in love and expect us to take on Sombra." Edge said sternly.
Soarin nodded and flew around the city before taking off full speed towards the tower.
Hard Chord looked up at the tall tower. It's dizzying height made Hard Chord thankful for his wings. He ascended it in a spiral and reached the top. His heart pounded in his chest at the sight of the dark pony with black flowing mane. But what really scared him was the conditions of his friends. Shining was cocooned to the wall in crystals. Vinyl wasn't even moving in glowing red ropes that hung from the ceiling. The seven gem prisons contained a pony that looked like there were in stasis. The one that had a lavender pony in it made Hard Chord charge at it.
"TWILIGHT!" He screamed as he reached the crystal and began to pound on it with his hooves. The surface was hard enough to break bones if they were hit hard enough.
Sombra only laughed. "Foolishness won't save her."
"Screw you. I love her!" He yelled his last sentence as he tried relentlessly to free his marefriend. Shining watched in amazement at his efforts. He hadn't seen a pony be so dedicated to helping his little sister.
"I've had enough of your hopelessness." Sombra casted his magic as he hit Hard Chord.
Hard Chord could feel himself being pulled away from Twilight. He tried to latch on to the crystal but was to late. The velocity flung him off the building. He could be heard screaming the whole way down.
Hard Chord nearly hit the ground if it weren't for Soarin. He was taken back to the shelter just as night set in.
When Edge approached him, Hard Chord was in tears.
"It's was me. I felt unloved. Shining said the same exact shit my dad said." He broke down for only a moment. Edge patted him on the back.
"I thought this would already be over." Caramel said. He and others hoped that this wouldn't drag on for a day. They hoped Sombra would be defeated and they would go back home.
"Sorry Caramel but we need to be patient." Edge said.
"I feel bad for Spike. He hasn't said a word since Rarity was taken." Nova said.
"Dude if there's anyone we should feel bad for, it's Notes. This will probably be the first night in weeks where he doesn't get laid." Hard Chord said.
They all settled in for the night. Hoping that this would all end in their sleep.
{A/N} Programs, I hate to sound to stalker like but where were you all yesterday when the last chapter was posted. I really like your harsh criticism.
Sharp Edge found himself in a dark void. His hooves were on ground so he walked on.
"Hello?" His voice echoed.
No answer. It's not like he expected one anyways. There was nothing here.
But a light seem to have shown. Edge walked towards it slowly. What he saw shocked him.
Fluttershy sat in tears. She kept saying something that struck something inside of Edges heart.
"Help me." She whimpered. Edge moved closer but time seemed to have slowed down for him as he got closer. Dark crystals closed around Fluttershy.
"Help me." She whimpered again. Those words kept pushing Edge to move but he kept getting slower.
"Please. Help me." The crystal trapped her.
Sharp Edge sat up. He was soaked in sweat from the dream. He looked and noticed that Electronic Notes wasn't there. He walked out of the entrance to find him starring at the tower.
"She's up there isn't she?" He said.
"Yeah. I plan on attacking today."
"WHAT! I thought you said we were gonna wait." Notes responded.
"Well I think a whole night is long enough. Plus... uh... something came up." He tried not to mention his dream.
"Fluttershy?"
"Damn it. Yeah." Edge said.
"Relax. I think at this point we all lost our special some-pony. Whether they knew it or not." Edge nodded in agreement. Whether the mares knew that one of them had feelings or not, they were their special some-pony to them.
"Well lets wake up the others. We're gonna need food."
"Got it."
Notes went and quietly shook them awake. Spike being the only exception. The group agreed that he was to young. They asked one of the crystal ponies there to let them know where they went.
"Alright. We're just going for food. That's it. No heroics."
"Got it."
They city had slave ponies everywhere. Some whispered for help while others told them to run to make sure they wouldn't share the same fate.
But a stash of food was found. Caramel and Nova carried on their backs.
"Somethings not right here. This is to damn easy." Soarin commented.
"Where the hell is everypony?" Caramel asked.
Crystals burst forward. At first they were harmless, but some sort of magic began to put pieces of it together. It formed a beast that roared at them.
"Shit."
Edge lit up his horn. "You guys go. I got this."
Without objecting, the others went on.
Sharp Edge stared at the beast. Determination in his eyes as it charged at him. Edge rolled to the side and ran over and slashed his magic blade at it. The crystal chipped away, leaving weak spots for Edge to strike at.
The beast roared as he swiped a crystal fist at Edge, who caught it with his blade and repelled his attack. Edge had to find a weak point. He swiped away at the beast and quikly realized that the limbs were his best shot at defeating it.
The beast swung some more at Edge, who quickly dodged and went under his arm socket. He slashed his head down and the blade followed, slicing off its' arm.
It roared in pain and clutched where it's arm came off. The beast was angered and tried to smash Edge with his other arm. Edge jumped back as pieces of the ground flew around where the fist made contact.
Edge quickly ran up the arm and jumped when the creature tried to fling him off. He leaped to the beasts' head and slashed.
The beast fell to the ground. It's head rolled away until it became nothing but crystal dust. The same happened to the rest of the body.
The others found their way to an empty yet open area.
"Why is it so quiet?" Notes asked.
But an answer came when a dark matter exploded and knocked the whole group down. Standing above Notes was none other that King Sombra. He picked up Notes by the neck and purred.
"Come with me." And in a flash, he and Notes were gone.
Sharp Edge came running up. "Shit. I could've gotten him. Soarin?''
"I'm on it." Soarin took off towards the tower.
Notes found himself at the top of the tower. He was shocked to see the six gem prisons with one above them in the center.
"VINYL!" He screamed at the sight of his wife. It was like when they both went to Ponyville. She was in a comatose state. She just hung there with her eyes closed. As if she was sleeping in pain.
"Don't worry. She's fine. Just tired." The dark pony said.
"Let her go!" Notes pleaded.
"I can't." Sombra shook his head.
Soarin flew up. He saw Notes besides Sombra but the sight of rainbows inside of a crystal prison made him forget about his goal.
"Dashie!" He yelled and flew towards her prison. A force stopped him cold.
"Shhh. She's sleeping." Sombra taunted.Soarin struggled in his grasp. Sombra laughed menacingly.
"You may think that love and happiness can repel me away again, but when everything is so hopeless, you will never have a chance." Sombra simply tossed Soarin aside.
Notes had gotten up to stumble towards his wife.
"Vinyl. It's me. Wake up!" He yelled the last part to hope that she would open her eyes.
"You really think that you can wake her by yelling. Those ropes have a spell of sleeping on them. She will remain asleep until they get taken off. But her dreams are nothing but pain of her deepest fears." Trixie said from behind Notes.
"What is she dreaming then?" Notes said in tears.
"NO! Please no!" Vinyl screamed as she felt them squeeze on her body.
But the snakes kept would never stop. They were wrapped around her just like the ropes outside of her dream.
"Whatever her worst fear is." Trixie answered.
"Enough. They both have had their visits but now it's time for them to go." Sombra lit his horn.
"No WAIT-" Notes reached towards his wife. But on a flash, he and Soarin were back with rest of the group at the shelter.
"What happened?" Spike asked.
Notes began to sniffle. Tears leaked out of his eyes.
"I...I... I couldn't save her!" He broke down. Soarin trying his best to not have the same reaction.
"We need to make a move." Hard Chord said to Edge.
Electronic Notes stood on a large balcony. A bright rainbow above him in a green valley. His heart was on the verge of exploding at the sight.
Vinyl walked over to him. At first a nuzzle then a kiss, the two stared at each others eyes. It was the perfect moment for both of them.
But black storm clouds rolled in. They thundered and lightning struck the trees. Rain poured down. Vinyl had fear in her eyes when suddenly dark crystals formed around her.
"NOTES!" She yelled. Notes tried to move but he was frozen
"Notes!"
"Notes!" Notes kept trying his hardest. But the crystals trapped her.
"NOTES!"
Electronic Notes' eyes bolted open. He wasn't at a rainbow valley. He was in a crappy makeshift shed made of trash with a dumpster fire keeping him warm.
"You were thrashing around. Needed to wake you." Sharp Edge said to him.
"So what now? Sombra has complete watch and power over this kingdom while we sit here and 'wait' for the 'right time' to fight back." Hard Chord said, mimicking Edges words of his plan.
"Well... there is.. one thing..." A crystal mare said.
"What?" Edge asked.
"Back a thousand years ago, when Sombra ruled us, there was a group that wasn't ever made slaves. They had a hideout where they would wait and make a few attacks. They had hoped to start a rebellion. There was a plan to assault King Sombras' castle when the princesses arrived. But the thousand year spell prevented them."
"Where could we find them?'' Edge asked her.
"On the other side of the kingdom." She answered.
"Alright! We're headin out in five." Edge called to the group.
"But I must warn you. The bigger in numbers, the more likely you'll be attacked." She warned them.
"Well then we're not coming back." Edge cleared his throat to address his group and the few crystal ponies there.
"This is it. The day Hard Chord has been bitching about since we got here. Once we find these rebels, we're going to that tower. But once we leave, we aren't coming back. So, to those who want to stay, sit back down."
Caramel stepped forward. "Applejack is in there. I wouldn't leave her for the world." He even tipped her hat that he wore on his head.
Soarin was next. "If Rainbow Dash can be loyal, so can I."
Spike stood up. "We need to save them. Rarity-uh I mean they are counting on us."
Notes walked up to Edge. "I didn't leave Vinyl behind when Trixie had Ponyville so I'm sure as hell ain't leaving her here."
Hard Chord walked next to his brother. "Shinings approval or not, I love Twilight. I'm done bitching and I'm ready to fight for her."
They realized that there was one pony of theirs who didn't go.
"Come on Nova."
"I...I can't." He shook his head.
"Nova, what about Pinkie?" Hard Chord asked.
"She doesn't even know that I'm in love with her. She wouldn't do the same for me." Nova said, slightly angry.
"But that doesn't mean you leave them hanging. If Pinkie was here and you weren't, she'd go to save you."
"How would you know? Name something she did for me that she doesn't do for any other pony?"
"She offered you a place to stay at your first visit to Ponyville and you two practically slept in the same bed."
Nova blushed at those words. But they were right. No matter how much your friends push aside your feelings, you have to be there for them. Nova stood up.
"Lets go."
Grey clouds covered the sky. The crystal dome didn't cover the entire city but those who tried to fly in would be flung away by magic. Cold rain poured down on a group of ponies. Along with the six, three crystal ponies went with them. All stallions since the mares stayed behind for the foals that made it to the shelter.
"How come these streets are so empty?" Notes wondered out loud.
"Slave lines move in a cycle around the kingdom." One of the crystal ponies answered.
"Let's move." Edge told them. They moved from cover to cover, building to building to avoid the eyes from above.
The group eventually found themselves at the entrance to the tower.
"So the resistance's hideout is just down this road?" Edge asked.
"Yes. But the road itself is long. It could take even longer then what we just walked."
"Well then lets get-"
Black lightning surged as crystals rose from the ground and formed several crystal beasts. They outnumbered the group.
"So much for no attention." Notes called.
"Lets just fight em." Edge said as a pink magic blade appeared by his head. It began to spin until ot looked like a complete circle.
A beast swung his fist at him. Edge waved his head and deflected the strike with with his spinning blade. Edge then quickly swiped his head and sliced the beast in one swing.
Nova Burst had magic blasts all over the place, trying his best to provide help for those who couldn't fight. Caramel and the other crystal ponies tried to overpower one beast at a time. The pegasi used slam attacks by flying in the air and then flying back down.
It seemed as though the battle was one. But one last beast came from behind Edge. By the the time he turned around, he felt the air get knocked out of him as he flew across the ground.
The beast stood above him and roared. It brought up a fist. But a pony jumped on his back and gave Edge the upper hoof to create a second blade. He took it's head off in a scissor motion.
When he went over to help the pony who saved him up, he was shocked to see that it wasn't one from his group.
The pony got up. A bandanna was around his face. Several more had some on behind him. Some pulled down.
Sharp Edge knew who they were. His group joined him and they too knew.
A look of seriousness on their faces, Edge assumed that this was the leader due to the different colored bandanna. They both stood at the very entrance to the tower. He nodded his head. The leader nodded his with his rebels following.
[A/N] Heavy Sharp Edge combat in honor of Metal Gear Rising.
The large bundle moved through the halls of the castle. Some cringed at the thought of their escape whilst losing their loved ones. The rebels were glad to pull the raid they been waiting a thousand years to make. Sharp Edge ran along side the rebel leader.
But more crystal beasts were formed. Instead of cowering in fear, Nova Burst readied his magic. The pegasi readied their wings. Caramel stood by the crystal ponies in his group. Sharp Edge looked at the leader and nodded. His horn glowed and a magic blade appeared at his side.
"Let's do this." He said as he charged with the others.
Edge already had a target. The beast leading the charge. Edge simply went in preparing to dodge. When the beast swung, he dashed to his left and began to swipe his head in motion for the blade to follow. Several strikes were landed, only chips of the crystal skin fell away. Edge then stood on a fore hoof and twirled around. He leaned forward and his hind hoof caught the blade and swung it around him to finish his target off.
The beast fell in two as it disintegrated into nothing but crystal dust. Edge stared at the bile and stomped a hoof to scatter it, giving a "Hmph" before running to his allies.
"I know they're here. I know my forces won't hold them." Sombra said as he stared at the clearing sky. The sun shined att he kingdom as dusk set in.
"But I have something they would never prepare for." He laughed menacingly as his magic sparked.
The beasts kept on appearing. Edge saw that a few of the crystal ponies were taken instead of killed. Perhaps to be Sombras' slaves.
But something new came to assist the beasts. Dark crystal replicas of ponies seemed to appear from nowhere. Edge kept up his hind hoof combo.
He approached one pony who's horn grew to a spike. Edge smirked at the idea of a sword fight and swung his blade. It was reflected his attack and swung. Edge jumped back and ducked to avoid the swings of the dark crystal pony. Edge soon find a moment to strike. He swiped his head and the blade followed through. To deliver the finishing move, he jumped and did a flip and caught the blade with the same hoof and finished the flip while swinging his blade to cut his opponent down the middle. Edge landed on the ground and hoped that his friends were putting up a better fight then him.
But most of his allies were taken. The rebel leader was gone and two ponies that came with him from the shelter were also missing. Edge kept at the fight. Most of the rebels were taken by beasts and only five remained.
Soon the last beast fell. The remaining ponies quickly gathered themselves.
"Let's just hurry." Edge said to the remaining ponies.
The group took off at full speed. But soon found themselves in a very large room. A stair way showed a way upstairs. Before the group could run to it, a rumbling was shook the room.
A large crystal came from the ceiling. It simply shattered an outer-layer. a large chunk fell from it and hit the ground. The chunk began to move. Limbs out-folded and legs appeared from it. It stood up as the head appeared.
This thing was a monster. It was almost as tall as the room. IT roared down at the group.
"You guys go." Sharp Edge said. "I'll take care of this and meet you both up there."
They left without abjection. But once they were all up the stairs, the pathway was sealed with a wall.
"I'll cross that bridge when I get there." Edge mumbled.
The monster roared down at Edge as he brought up his fist. Anticipating an attack, Edge began to wait for him to swing. Instead, several small crystals shot out at the end of its fist. Edge ran and used his magic blade to deflect the shots. He had to find some sort of weakness to the monster.
"The legs." Edge noticed how thin they were. He could easily cut them down and get closer to the monsters thin neck. But the suppressive fire prevented him from doing so.
"Then I'll charge right at him." Edge said.
Soon, the monster aimed his second fist and fired more crystal bullets at Sharp Edge. The monster was shocked to see Edge deflect them with his blade and run at the monster instead of running around him.
Edge ran to the monsters legs. It tried to stomp on him, but Edge quickly dashed to the side and swung his head. The blade cut through the leg and the monster screamed as it fell down to the ground.
But it wasn't over. The beast sat on the ground and swung it's massive arms at the pony. Edge needed to find another moment to strike. The monster was still very tall despite it not standing.
The monster slammed his fist on the ground near Edge. Edge dodged again and remembered when he first fought one of the beasts. How he ran up its arm and cut its head off.
Edge waisted no and jumped on its arm. Edge had a thought about it swinging its arm and throwing him off. He slashed his blade in front of him to cut away at the monsters arm. When he got to the shoulder, he jumped and whipped his head and decapitated the monster.
The corpse fell and hit the ground. To Sharp Edges surprise, the floor disappeared just as the body became crystal dust. Edge looked down and saw a long flight of stairs.
"Better to find a new way going down than never finding a way up." Edge said as he began his stroll down the stairs.
"Come on. We're almost there." Hard Chord urged the group as they trudged up the stairs. Some complaining about how tiring it was. While Soarin and Notes fought the urge to fly ahead to hopefully save the others.
"We should be almost there." Hard Chord said back to the group.
Just as the group made it to the top. Notes lost it and charged for his wife.
"No Notes don't!" Nova yelled to him.
To late. A red burning rope caught him by the hoof and dragged him away.
A wicked laugh came from the mare who caught him. "I'd always knew you'd come. But to foolishly charge without expecting trouble, pathetic."
The others saw King Sombra approach them. "I'd never thought I'd see the resistance from my time again." He commented on the ponies with bandannas on.
"But it look like you'll fail like last time." He said.
Sharp Edge finally reached the bottom of the stairs. He caught his breath and simply saw a door on the wall. Without thinking, he threw it open to find a decimated kingdom. Fires were burning, buildings crumbled, yells of fear rang through the air. Edge stepped out and looked down to see a pink maned Pegasus surrounded by beasts.
"NO!" He yelled. He may have failed the kingdom, but he wouldn't lose Fluttershy. He jumped with his blade and slashed.
Edge hit his head on the wall as something shattered. A gem was broken at the top of the door and it opened. Edge stepped out cautiously, afraid to see what he just saw. He was surprised to see the sun setting from behind the crystals surrounding the city.
But to his dismay, more steps awaited him. He sighed and trudged up them. Until he realized that his friends were up there. He took off at full speed and ran up the stairs.
He made it to the top at a very fast rate. So fast that he needed to catch his breath. But it got caught in his throat when he saw his friends charging Sombra one at a time.
Soarin charged but was blasted away by magic. Caramel tried but was repelled by the same magic blast. It was the same process.
"SOMBRA!" Edge yelled. Sombra blasted a crystal pony before turning over to Sharp Edge.
"Take me on. One on one." Edge said. Sombra grinned evilly and forced the others away with a magic blast. Sharp Edge approached him. Crystals rose above him and Sombra.
Edge readied his magic blade as Sombra prepared his magic.
Sharp Edge opened his eyes to see himself on the ground in front of the tower. King Sombra stared at him menacingly with his horn glowing with magic.
"I've had it with you." He growled. A magic blast shot, which Edge easily deflected.
"I should have fought you the moment you appeared." Edge said, his magic blade by his side. "So lets finish this here." He stared Sombra down.
Sombra wasted no time and began to fire magic blasts at Edge. Sharp Edge ran in circles while deflecting every shot. Sombra knew that Edge wouldn't be an easy target.
"Lets see how good you can see." Sombra said as he disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Soon, the entire ground was covered in fog. Edge waved his blade around to hopefully clear some of it. But just as he began to waving, a force struck him in the back. Edge was knocked down and picked up and thrown. He hit what he assumed was the wall of some building and fell to the ground.
Sharp Edge got up and spun his blade till it made a complete circle. He spun it around his area and saw the fog clear. He was shocked to see that the building was a few feet behind him when he hadn't moved since he hit the wall.
"Strange." Edge thought out loud. But just as the last of the fog cleared, Sombra was seen leaping towards him. Edge leaped out him and kicked him in the face.
"Nice try." Edge commented, shaking his aqua green mane out of his face.
Sombra got up and glared at him. An idea popped in his head. He used his magic to summon crystals, which broke to reveal three crystal ponies.
"To damn easy." Edge quipped as he charged.
The crystal ponies charged at their opponent. Edge smirked and slashed at the one in front. It soon fell to dust at its very defeat. The other two tried to work together. Thy struck at different times from both side of the unicorn. But Edge simply slashed them at once.
Sombra leaped to face him again. This time, he used his magic to float around Edge on a dark cloud. Edge found a challenge of getting up to his height and striking him whilst dodging the magic blasts that left a big radius after every blast.
"There's got a be way." Edges' blade wouldn't get to the higher length of a normal katana. Maybe there was an attack Sombra had in mind in which he would swoop down at Edge.
"That's got to be it." Edge said.
But to do that, he would need to prove being chased after. Reflecting Sombras' attacks were pointless since they would blow Edge up.
So Edge ran off in circles. Sombra watched him go and kept firing magic blasts at him.
"Pathetic fool." Sombra taunted.
As Edge ran in circles, he noticed that Sombra only stayed in the center. Edge had an idea that just might kill him. He quickly turned down the middle and ran underneath Sombras cloud.
Sombra swooped down after him. Edge turned around and a flurry of sword attacks were swung at Sombra. The dark unicorn fell off his cloud and quickly made a crystal barrier to stop the finishing move.
Another crystal rose and shattered to make way for a crystal beast. It roared at Edge and began to swing its arms at him. Edge quickly dodged and did his old trick. He waited for the beast to slam his fist down and then Edge would run up ots arm and slash its head off.
But the to Edges surprise, when he ran up its arm, it flung it up in the air. Edge instead flipped and fell down to cut the beast in half.
"I've had enough." Sombra growled as his crystal shield lowered. "I want this to end NOW!" He yelled as his tail began to shift shape into a sword. Sombra laughed evilly as he pointed the sharp end at Edge.
"I'm ending this." Edge said in a low whisper-tone voice.
Edge waited and Sombra jumped at him. He swung his tail at full speed, almost to fast for Edge to handle. Sombra roared and whipped Edge with his tail. A deep cut was on his cheek as he flew back.
"Somethings not right." Edge said quietly. 'No matter how far I run, he seems to get me from over there.'
Edge thought that it was Sombras power and ran back. But was met with a tail jab that nearly took his life. Edge dodged and swung and hit Sombra so badly that it sent him flying back. But Edge could see him hit a wall that wasn't there. He noticed that Sombras body curved as if he hit something circular.
Edge had suspicions. Why did Sombra seem to not move around. He only stayed in a central area. As if he was trapped. Edge also noticed that nopony heard them and came to find them. Edge looked up and saw that the tower didn't have a red glow.
"Thats it!"
Edge's horn glowed brightly. He yelled out a battle cry and whipped his head around in a circle. The blade slashed around him and left slash marks in the air.
Edge opened his eyes to see the ground of the top of the tower. He saw a little bit of the kingdom being projected in the crystals that were cut down.
"Nice trick Sombra. A false world portrayed by your crystals." Edge had to give him credit. Nopony said it was fair game and Sombra actually had a good trick in his opinion. "But every trick has a flaw to it."
The others were there. Trixie clearly was defeated since she was tied up in her own ropes in a corner.
"ENOUGH!" Sombra roared so loud that the entire kingdom heard.
"You're right. Enough." Edge said back to him.
Sombra became so furious that his tail lashed out in several directions. Even cutting Vinyl down from the ceiling in his rage.
"Vinyl!" Electronic Notes flew over and caught his wife. He pried the ropes away and held her.
"Notes...Notes?" She said in a soft whisper at first.
"It's me." He said. Before the reunion could get more close, Sombra roared.
"I've had it with you." He roared as his magic began to power up.
Edge only smirked. "Lets end this." His horn glowed brightly as he charged King Sombra. Sombra shot his magic at him, but Edge dodged by slashing his head down to cut Sombra into nothing but light.
Only his smoke remained as it faded away. Edge kicked the dust of his fallen foe.
But something wasn't right. The ponies should have have been released and the kingdom should have been free. The only was is if someone took over Sombras dark power.
Vinyls scream interrupted Edges' thoughts. He turned around and his jaw nearly dropped at what he saw.
Electronic Notes stared at him with green eyes and dark magic surging through him.

His brother stared at them while panting. Obviously getting used to the dark magic that possessed him. The others looked at him in shock.
Vinyl approached him with a pleading stare. "Notes, this isn't you. Please snap out of it."
A pink glow bathed the two. Vinyl turned around to see Sharp Edge with a magic blade. Vinyl tried to protect her husband.
"No! He still himself he just needs to see." She pleaded. But she was knocked down by none other then Notes who approached Edge.
"Are you really going to hurt me?" He asked. His voice had a demonic tone behind it.
"I might." Edge said. But even he was conflicted. Notes had been his friend for a long time. Could he hurt his friend even if he was corrupted by dark magic?
"But you won't." Notes said to him. "I'm your friend aren't I? You wouldn't hurt a friend."
Edge only stopped his magic. "You're right."
Edge was shoved to the side by Hard Chord.
"I'll fight him. We've been at it since birth." He readied his wings.
"Well then brother. Lets see who is the stronger one." Notes readied his wings. "Chase me." He said simply. In a boom of dark magic, Notes took of and out of the tower. Hard Chord only glared and chased after him.
Vinyl ran out to see them. "Fighting won't help him."
"I know." Edge said.
"Then what will save him?" She asked.
"They crystal heart is fueled by love. If it is restored then hopefully it will cure Electronic Notes."
"Okay so how do we restore it?" Vinyl asked.
"Notes needs to feel loved." Edge said, turning his head towards Vinyl.
"Wait... you mean."
"Whatever he loves you the most for, you're gonna have to show it to him."
"But how do we get him over here?"
"Looks like Hard Chord will have to chase him back here." Edge said as he watched the two steaks in the sky.
Hard Chord flew after his brother. Despite being the smaller, Notes flew faster due to the dark magic.
"You can't fly away from me forever!" Hard Chord yelled over the winds.
"Well then I won't fly away from you." Notes quickly turned around. "I'll fly at you!"
Notes kicked down and at Hard Chord. The wind was knocked out him as he plummeted to the ground.
Hard Chord spun around to get his brothers hoof off of him. He charged at him and headbutted him. Notes felt his stomach churn at the contact and resisted vomiting.
"You'll pay for that." Notes growled.
A voice called to Hard Chord. He turned around to see Soarin flying to him.
"You need to lure Notes back to the tower."
"Why?"
"Just do it. Edge has a plan." He flew away.
Hard Chord turned back to his brother. "Well come on then." He taunted. Hard Chord flew off.
"Get back here." Notes growled.
Hard Chord knew Edge well enough to trust him.
"This better work."
[A/N] It's short on purpose. The next chapter will be up later.
"Where did he go?" Hard Chord wondered. Despite flying with Electronic Notes in chase, he didn't hear nor see him.
"Maybe he's just-" His sentence was cut off when Notes bumped into him and knocked him away.
Notes flew to the very top of the tower. The sharp edge was sliced away by a wing swipe fueled by dark magic, leaving a platform for him to stand on.
"This kingdom is now under my rule." He stared at the still setting sun. "Nopony can stop me."
But a voice called above him. Notes looked up to see Vinyl being held by Soarin.
"We need to get closer." She said.
"We can't. He'll take us down." Soarin grunted as he struggled to lift the mare.
Notes laughed evilly as he readied his wings. Vinyl had a look of horror and pleaded.
"No. No no no no." She shook her head frantically in hopes that Notes wouldn't attack.
Just before he could charge, a yell distracted him.
Hard Chord flew up the sides of the tower and struck Notes with a hoof. Notes staggered and fell off his platform. He slid down the tower slightly and tried to climb back up.
"Nows our chance." Soarin called as he lowered Vinyl to the platform.
But Vinyl had bad balance and fell down the tower. Much like her husband, she only slid down and tried to climb back up.
Soarin rushed to help but was stopped by Hard Chord.
"Just wait."
Vinyl struggled to climb up. The slope of the surface was steep and her hooves were slipping out from her.
"Notes help!" She called, hoping that he would snap out of his corruption and save her.
Nothing worked. Instead, she climbed up some more and was almost to the platform. When she put a hoof on it, she felt another one reaching for it.
She only got a glance to see Notes struggling to get up. Vinyl had an idea. She could grab his hoof and pull herself up. But she'll have to cure by doing so.
"Think. What's something he loves most about me?" Vinyl struggled to remember.
"Then she remembered.
"Well... everything about you." He concluded by kissing her lips.
"That's it"
Vinyl reached for and grabbed Notes hoof. Without hesitation, she quickly pulled herself up and kissed Notes on the lips as he struggled to climb up. At first his eyes widened in shock, then he closed them. But when he opened them again, they were his eyes. They weren't filled with evil and hatred, they were just his eyes.
At the bottom of the tower, the crystal heart began to glow until it sent a shockwave of light. Slaves had there shackles disintegrate right before their very eyes. The crystals around the city fell to dust. Crystal beasts crumpled to the ground.
But the one thing that made the group the most happy was when the gem prisons faded away. The ponies fell to the ground.
"Ugh my head." Rainbow Dash groaned as she rubbed it. But a pair of hooves wrapped around her. She turned and smiled to see Soarin hugging her.
Applejack groaned and felt her head and realized that her hat was missing.
"Applejack." She turned her head to see Caramel wearing her hat.
"Caramel!" Applejack exclaimed. Caramel quickly took off the hat and gave it to her.
"Are you okay?" He nearly yelled over the excitement.
"Aw shucks sugarcube. I can handle myself." Applejack leaned and kissed Caramel on the cheek.
"But I appreciate the concern." She smiled at him. Caramel only blushed more at the smile.
The ponies soon took on the look of crystal ponies. While soom examined their looks, Twilight look out to see Hard Chord hovering just outside of the room.
Twilight couldn't contain her excitement. "Hard Chord!" She yelled in excitement and jumped out at him. the contact made Hard Chord lose his balance and fall to the ground.
"TWILIGHT!'' Shining Armor ran over to the edge and saw Hard Chord rise above it with Twilight in his hold.
Pinkie looked and saw Nova Burst examining his new look. She bounced over to him.
"Hey Nova. You guys did it." She said as she pulled him into a hug.
Nova had the courage to ask. "Pinkie do you wanna go out sometime?" He didn't get nervous at all. After what he went through, he had to ask.
"Sure." Pinkie said simply. AS if it was just another question. Nova didn't have time to be shocked. He hugged her back.
Spike ran up and hugged Rarity. She hugged him back and petted his head.
Fluttershy starred at the others. She was glad that they found somepony or dragon to love. But she wish she could find somepony.
"Are you okay?" A deep, soft voice asked.
Fluttershy turned around to see Sharp Edge standing behind her. she lost herself and threw her hooves around him.
Electronic Notes and Vinyl Scratch looked at each others eyes. Notes held her as he floated above the crystal tower with his wings. A red gem in his throat, he kissed Vinyl once more.
It was over. Cheers form freed slaves were heard. The other crystal ponies thanked the group and ran back to be with their loved one as well.
The crystal heart glowed brightly. The rainbow that came from the tower lit the way across Equestria as the the moon rose.
The train station was bustling with ponies who came to see if there love ones were safe. At the station was the last train to Ponyville. A Notes and the others were busy boarding when Sharp Edge, Shining Armor and Cadence, and even Trixie came to see them
"Hard Chord, I think I owe you an apology." Shining Armor said to the departing ponies. "I just was stressed at the time and I think I may have taken my anger out on you."
"May have?" Hard Chord quipped.
"Okay so I did. But the point being, I've never met a pony so dedicated to my sister. I wish you two the best of luck." He patted Hard Chord on the back. Twilight ran over and hugged her brother.
Trixie also came up to Vinyl. "I'm sorry. I was-"
Vinyl stopped her. "My husband went through the same thing as you. But we need to stop meeting this way."
Trixie looked at her. "Agreed." Trixie turned around and ran off.
Sharp Edge approached his friends and gave them hoof-shakes and bro-hugs. But for one mare, his good-bye would be different.
"Fluttershy?" The mare spun around at the sound of his voice calling her name.
"Oh uhm, hello Sharp Edge." she tried not to be her shy self.
"Just wanted to say goodbye for now. I might visit the others sometime and maybe we can see each other.'' Edge tried his best to make it not sound like he was asking her out.
"Well sure. I'd like that." Fluttershy sounded a bit flirtatious at her tone. But for once, she didn't care.
"Well until then," Edge leaned in and kissed her forehead. Fluttershy only turned red as she stepped onto the train.
"ALL ABOARD!" The conductor called as the train whistle blew. The group got at the windows to wave goodbye to their friends. A few of the crystal ponies also came to say goodbye as a thank you for saving the kingdom.
The train whistle filled the night with sound. Electronic Notes stared at the window and at the lights of Canterlot. He turned his head back at the sound of the door opening.
"Just us now. Nova was staying in Ponyville. How ya feeling?" Vinyl asked.
"Better. Just tired." Notes was drained after the corruption.
"Well we're almost home." Vinyl sat on the bed and petted Notes mane.
"I've missed you." He said.
"I missed you too." Vinyl said as she leaned and kissed him.
2 Weeks later
An older looking Pegasus staggered out of his house and to the mailbox. More bills were piled into a corner. Except for one. An envelope with the royal seal.
Dear Lightning Speed,
I'm sure you are as happy as I am about the liberation of the Crystal Empire and it's kingdom. We are happy to inform you that your sons, Electronic Notes and Hard Chord, were the small group of saviors. We're sure you are proud of your sons as we are.
Lightning stopped reading at that point. "Proud?"
"Oh yeah. Maybe I should visit them." A smile crept onto his face.
"Never thought I'd see the day that waste of space would make use for something other than screaming."
