> Farcry 3: Equestrian Add-on > by VFusion > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The pain shot up quickly to my brain as Vass plunged the oriental knife into my chest. It went deep. Very deep as the guard was the only thing that blocked it from going completely through my chest. Fortunately for me it didn’t hit my heart but it came very close to as I fell down to the ground with Vaas standing over me, his small black mohawk glowed in the neon lights bathing it. I looked at his waiting figure as everything went blinding white. My eyes opened as I stood on a path of TVs and as I walked more lit up showing me a path. I looked to my sides as I saw Vaas standing there with a pistol to his head and after a second it flashed and showed me in the same position. I saw Citra doing a pole dance, and just like before the image flashed and instead of Citra it was Vaas dancing in her place. Then I saw when Citra was on top of me, riding me and that image turned to Citra on Vaas doing the same thing. As I continued to walk over the TVs it lead me to a set of stairs which lit up as well and it all lead to Vaas sitting in a chair. He got up and said, “Are you enjoying my sister’s company? Huh? She’s gonna make a warrior out of you?” He extended his index fingers and put them to his temples to mimic horns. “You are you fucked Jason.” He made an explosion with his hand under his chin. “C’mon,” he made a tock sound as he used his hands to make fake guns, shooting them, “pull the trigger.” I put my pistol up to his head as he grabbed it and shoved it against his skull screaming, “C’mon motherfucker. Pull the trigger!” I didn’t hesitate as I pulled the trigger and shot him. My vision went completely white again as the sound of the shot echoed through my ears. I had a Vector in my hands as I heard him whisper “You are me, and I am you.” I saw puffs of smoke and out of those smoke clouds came running Vaas with a knife above his head. I shot him down with the gun in my hand as he dissipated in to dust. Suddenly another Vaas came running after me, a knife above his head as well. This kept up for a while as I made my way on another TV laden path but after I had made some progress the Vaas illusions were set a blaze as they charged me, knives above their heads. “Why won’t you die?!” I yelled in frustration as they kept coming after me. I soon shot the last one down as I saw the real Vaas standing still waiting for me. “Take me into your heart. Accept me as your savior. Nail me to the fucking cross and let me be REBORN!” He bellowed into nothing as I got closer to him. I ran up to him and swiftly swung my knife diagonally twice as he dogged both swipes. I attempted to stab downwards but he blocked it with his arm. I struggled to try and beat him in strength but then I got an idea as I let go of the knife and as it fell I caught the handle with my left hand and drove it forward aimed straight for Vass’s gut. I could see it was only inches away when another blast of white blinded me and it turned black as I lost consciousness. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Vaas shot upward as he awoke, his hand immediately going over his stomach to check for the wound he was sure he suffered, but to his amazement nothing was there. He swiveled his head to get a look at the environment, a look of utter confusion and mind fuck occupied his face. Everything was so bright and colorful, it practically radiated happiness. “What the fuck is this shit?” Vaas spoke aloud to no one in particular. He got to his feet and felt dizzy and disoriented as he grabbed his head. “Oh man, what the fuck did Brody do to me?” Vaas stumbled a bit as he lost his balance for a second, quickly regaining it. Vaas reaches down to his side where his pistol is usually kept and notices that it’s not there. Cursing to himself he looks around for it and he finally sees Jason’s body, laying there, his knife still clutched tightly in his hand. Vaas looked at him for a moment, thinking of whether to kill him now or not. He reached for the knife in Jason’s hand and tried to pry it loose but to no avail, and starts to look around for a heavy object to use. Suddenly a bright flash blinded Vaas for a second and when he opened his eyes he saw a tall, dark unicorn standing above him, a blank expression on his face. “You, who are you and what business do you have in my kingdom?” “You’re talking to me?” Vaas asked, “Am I seriously having a conversation with a fucking pony?!? I should just kill you and Jason right now but seeing as my fucking pistol is lost I can’t. So I’ll answer your question, my name is Vaas and I have no fucking clue why I’m here.” “So, you no not the reason you intrude in my kingdom? Very well, to prison with you.” The Unicorn motions for two guards on either side of him to take Vaas into custody and with yet another bright flash they’re gone. They reappeared inside of a dark, moist jail and Vaas was thrown into the first empty cell and locked in. The Unicorn headed back upstairs to the main room and he sat back on his throne and got ready for more boring questions from his subjects, none of them ever seemed to have anything interesting to say. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I groggily got up, my hand quickly grasping my head as I could feel pain shooting through it, my knife falling into the dirt. A warm liquid ran down my arm and when I looked I saw blood trickling down my arm, running in between my fingers as it dripped down on the ground. I ignored the bleeding for now as it was only minor and I looked around, trying to figure out by what means I got here. As I looked around I noticed how everything seemed more, vibrant than the jungle I was used to, the watered down colors replaced by bright, almost cartoony colors. I looked up in the sky as I saw a large storm approaching, the dark grey clouds looked menacingly at the bright colors, threatening to drop massive amounts of water on them. I cursed at my luck and looked around for any sort of shelter for the night as I spotted a cave, heading over to it revealed that nothing lived in it and it went a decent ways into the hillside in which is was dug in. The night passed quickly as the rain hit hard, drenching the landscape with water, the wind cracked trees and a few even caught fire from lightning, most of which were quenched quickly. My body was aching in the morning from sleeping on the hard stone floor; at least back in the jungle I had beds in the safehouses. I searched around for my knife when I realized that in my haste to get in here I had left it in the dirt where I had woken up at. Sighing to myself I walked out of the cave and onto the water soaked grass, my shoes collecting water in the material, wetting my socks and feet. I walked over to the small hill where I had been left at and searched for my knife, finding it still buried in the ground, the nylon cord griped was saturated with water. I put the knife on my belt as repositioned my shirt so it hide the hilt, not knowing where I am it was best to conceal my weapons in case the locals are not too keen on weapons. I looked around to see if there were any settlements near that I could get my bearings at and to my satisfaction there was a small, little village off in the distance. I turned completely towards it as moved my right foot, starting the long trek to the village, hoping I could get some answers there. As I walked I looked more closely at the scenery and it caused me to almost fall off a cliff. I looked out at the scenery and my breath was taken away as I looked on a field of wheat, it bent lightly to the will of the soft wind. The long golden stalks looked as if I was staring down at a lake of gold. I sat down on the edge, my legs swinging carelessly as I enjoyed the peace of the world, no gunshots off in the distance, no explosions or yelling, and no wild animals running up and attacking me, just quiet. That is until a rainbow line shot up in front of me, causing me to jump and fall on my back in surprise. When I sat back up I looked at what caused the disturbance and what I saw stunned me. Flying in the air was a cyan colored pegasus with rainbow colored mane. I had a very hard time believing what I was seeing and my hand almost teleported to my knife in case the creature became hostile. The pegasus looked down and saw me as it came cautiously close to me, cocking it's head to the side with confusion written all over it's face. "What in Equestria are you?" It spoke to me, pointing a hoof in my direction. As it spoke I got lightheaded and couldn't sit up straight as I fell on my back, unconscious. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vaas sat in his dark cell while the guards rummaged through what they found in his pockets, trying to figure out what the objects were used for. He chuckled as one of the guards held up a lighter and tried to light it but couldn't due to his hooves. The lighter fell on the ground with a clank as the guard slowly picked up the lighter and threw it back into the pile of objects that occupied the table between the two guards. They then began to discuss events of the day and soon Vaas lost interest as he laid down on the bed provided and stared at the ceiling thinking of the best way to kill all these ponies when he was free. "I could just slice open all their throats while making them watch. Or I could torture them until not one of them was able to stand, but then again if I find a way back I might be able to sell them as slaves." He kept pondering the situation when one of the guards yelled at him. "Hey! Shut up in there!" They chuckled a bit and then went back to their discussion, not paying attention to the prisoner. Suddenly a loud bang echoed through the chamber as the exit door was flung open and the unicorn strode through once more, the guards hopping off the chairs they were in and bowed, muttering "Your Highness" as he walked to Vaas's cell. The unicorn was adorned in a golden crown, covered with some jewels. A black cape flowed on his back, trimmed in a fluffy white substance, most likely wool. The unicorn looked at Vaas, his eyes filled with confusion while Vaas's were filled with hate. "Y'know, you have a really shitty 'Welcome Party'." Vaas smirked a bit. "Silence!" The unicorn practically yelled at Vaas, causing his ears to ring. "You will only speak when spoken to, do you understand?" He waited a second, "Speak." "I understand, doesn't mean I'm going to obey it." Vaas was welcomed with a hit to the face by a grey, glowing hoof, the unicorn's horn was glowing the same color as the hoof levitated near him. "Now, I have some questions for you..." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I woke with a start as I felt light headed, my right hand going up and grabbing my forehead as I groaned. I sat up, trying to get a glimpse of my surroundings but it was pitch black where I was and my eyes were not adjusted yet. Slowly they began to adjust to the darkness as I could make out faint outlines of a doorway. I looked down and saw that I was on a bed which was a bit too small for a fully grown male such as myself. I got out of the bed and instantly fell onto my face, a loud thump echoed throughout the room. As I dragged myself to my feet a heard the door open as light flooded in the room, causing me to cover my eyes. "Oops, let me turn on the lights." A feminine voice said as the lights in the room sprung to life, causing the darkness to be shooed away by the light bulb that hung from the ceiling. When I turned to the doorway I saw another pony looking creature only this one was lavender, with a horn instead of wings. Her tail and mane were a dark purple with a pink and lighter shade of purple highlight in them, she walked over to me and looked at me. "Hello, my name is Twilight Sparkle. What's yours?" "D-did you j-just talk t-to me?" My eyes were wide as saucers and the unicorn just nodded her head. "So you can understand everything I'm saying?" She nodded once more. "I've gone completely insane! I bet Vaas is behind this, that motherfucker." I sighed. "Well, even if this is a figure of my imagination might as well be polite. My name is Jason, Jason Brody." Twilight smiled, "Nice to meet you Jason. I've never seen a creature quite like you before so could I examine you later?" She looked at me with a scientific expression. "Uh, I guess..." I cautiously replied not sure what she meant by 'examining'. She smiled, "Okay! Now let's go, somepony is downstairs that wants to meet you!" She walked out of the door motioning for me to follow. Hesitantly I did so, closing the door behind me and took a step, almost falling down the stairs as I did so. I catch myself, my arms shooting out to push against the wall, my lurching to a stop. When I regained my balance I continue down the stairs, reaching the bottom without another incident. When I step off the last wooden plank a large white pony with a long horn and huge wings sat in the middle of the room. I couldn't believe my eyes as my mind raced, trying to make sense of what is happening. I just stood there, staring at the pony, not sure of what to do when the pony speaks, "Goo day, my name is Princess Celestia, ruler of Equestria along with my sister Luna, although since she's usually only awake at night she was unable to come. Twilight here sent me a letter this morning saying something about a strange bipedal creature that one of her friends found and brought to her so naturally I came immediately. Now, what is your name and how did you get here." I was too dumbfounded to say anything at first but my mind was quickly to rebound as I spoke, "My name is Jason Brody, and to as how I got here it's a mystery. I feel unconscious and next thing I know I wake up here, not knowing how I ended up here." "Are there anymore of your kind?" She asked. "Well, obviously not with me or here, but where I come from, a place called Earth, there are billions more humans, what our race is called." I tried my best to explain as I'm not sure what happened to Vaas, he could either be here in this world or back on Earth, hunting down my friends and killing the Rakyat warriors who no doubt were probably devestated by my "death". “Alright, do you intend harm on any of the inhabitants of Equestria?” “No, I just want to get back to my world as soon as possible.” I said, as my hand drifted towards the knife hidden in my pants. “That answers my questions for now,” Celestia turned to Twilight and whispered something that I didn’t catch, “I must be going now. Farewell Jason.” With that she went outside and as the door closed behind her I no longer gave her a second thought. Twilight looked at me and spoke, “So, now that her questions have been answered do you have any questions?” “Yes,” I began, determined to find out if Vaas was here or not, “what are the nearest kingdoms? If there are any.” Twilight’s expression seemed to brighten as she was about to share her knowledge with me. “Well, the closest one is the Crystal Empire ruled by Princess Cadance. Though the closet one near where Rainbow dash found you is the kingdom of King Shadow Whisper, we don’t do have the best diplomatic relations with him but we avoid war.” “I need to get to that kingdom then. I need to check if someone else came with me and if they did then I need to settle a score with them. Can you take me to it?” I asked Twilight, hoping she say yes. “I’m sorry but you can’t leave this town, not until you are cleared by the Princess and deemed “safe for contact”.” I could understand why this would be but I was too focused on the possibility that Vaas could be at the kingdom ruled by Shadow Whisper to give a damn. “Listen, if the other human came into this place with me then it is everyone’s best interest that we find him. If we don’t then he could terrorize you ponies and probably enslave most of you.” Twilight’s face contorted with horror at me saying that anyone could do something like that. She put a hoof to her chin as I could tell she was considering what I was saying. When her hoof left her chin she looked at me and shook her head as I sighed. Twilight came up to me with a sad look on her face, “Hey, cheer up I don’t think it’ll take long for the Princess to make up her mind. So for now how about I introduce you to my friends?” A smile came to her face as she mentioned her friends as I simply nodded. She called out and the door to the library opened once more as five ponies walked in, one I recognized was the cyan pegasus that I saw before I passed out. That left four ponies that I did not recognize all but one of them had confused expressions on their faces. The one that didn’t look confused was a pink pony whose mane and tail looked a bit like cotton candy. She bounced up to me with a huge smile on her face. “Hi! My name’s Pinkie Pie! Want to be friends?!” She was really close to me as she seemed very energetic. I scooted away from her a bit as I couldn’t take her sudden burst of energy as I stared at them, not saying a word. “I think you frightened it Pinkie.” A white unicorn said in a pompous voice, looking confused at me, a hint of disgust shone on her face. “Or maybe I’m still in shock that I’m in a land full of colorful, talking ponies who apparently can use magic and fly.” I looked at her with a cold stare. "So it CAN speak! That is so cool!" The rainbow maned Pegasus spoke as she flew a bit closer to me, making me back up farther. "Well Ah reckon that we all should introduce ourselves." An orange pony spoke up, tipping the brim of her cowboy (or in this case, cowpony) hat up to show her bright, emerald green eyes. "The name's Applejack, nice to meet ya sugarcube." "I'm Rainbow Dash!" The rainbow maned one struck a pose as she had a smug look on her face. The white unicorn sighed, "I'm Rarity, and could you please stop looking at me like that? It disturbs me." I quit staring at her as I looked at the other ponies, my eyes slowly looking at all of them, stopping on a yellow Pegasus with a pink mane. "I'm F-Fluttershy....." The Pegasus quietly spoke out, though it was almost completely inaudible to me but I ignored it. "Jason." One word was all I spoke in response, my voice was hard as steel and didn't sound friendly but that didn't stop the pink mare who bounced up to me, hugging me. I was surprised by this as I tried to push her off but her grip was iron strong. I slowly put my arms around her and pat her back, my eyes began to water from the contact. I haven't been hugged like this is so long that I almost forgot how it felt. When she stopped hugging me my arms dropped to my sides as if they were dead, swinging uselessly. I fell to my knees, my head pointing toward the ground as my eyes began to water more furiously as I could feel myself about to cry from all the stress of late, the death, the loss, the pain, and everything that has happened. I could feel hot tears stream down my face as I sobbed, my breaths were shallow as I heard the soft clopping of hooves on the wooden floor as a yellow hoof came into my vision. I looked up to see the yellow Pegasus looking at me nervously as she offered me her hoof. I smiled, wiping away my tears as I looked up, looking the yellow Pegasus in the eyes which seemed startled. "Th-thank you. You haven't known me for even an hour and yet, you've shown me compassion on the likes I've never experienced before, and for that I thank you. All of you." I could feel my heart warm up as I finally decided that dream or not, I don't want this to end. "Hey Twilight!" A voice called out as I looked for the source when a purple and green dragon ran out of a room, holding a scroll. "Twilight Celestia just sent a letter." He handed Twilight the letter as she grabbed it with her magic as my eyes got wide, still not used to there being magic. "Thank you Spike." She said to the dragon as she read the letter. When she was done she let out a sigh as she rolled the letter back up and set it down on a table, turning to us and spoke. "Alright girls, Jason, and Spike Celestia wants me in Canterlot to discuss something. She said she'll keep me for a few days and Spike is coming with me. Can one of you let Jason stay with you until I get back. "I'd like to Twilight but the animals might get scared of a new face." Fluttershy spoke. "I have a lot of work to do as I have three big orders to fill within two weeks." Rarity seemed a bit relieved that she had an excuse. "I'd love to Twilight but I don't think the Cakes would like it." Pinkie frowned a bit. "Well shucks Twilight, Ah'd like to but Ah'll have to watch Mah sister and her friends, while working." Applejack said, almost grimacing at the thought of watching her sister. "I can Twilight, though I don't think whatever he is are capable of walking on clouds." Rainbow Dash spoke up. "We're called humans and no we can't walk on clouds." I replied. Twilight pondered for a minute and then her face lit up. "I could cast a cloud walking spell." "Yea! That would work!" Rainbow Dash smiled. "Alright, just do it quickly." I said as I clamped my eyes shut. I could hear the sparks of magic being let off of Twilight's horn as a tingling sensation filled my body. When I opened my eyes I couldn't tell that anything was different but Twilight looked pleased. "That does it. You girls can go now as I have to get ready." She let us go as Rainbow Dash motioned for me to follow her, so I did. We walked in broad daylight and I ran from building to building, a habit I picked up from raiding so many of Vaas's camps. Rainbow seemed to snicker at my actions as the ponies gave me the occasional weird looks that I didn't catch. She eventually stopped and I went up to her as she quickly grabbed me by the waist and lifted me off the ground, flying up high in the sky. I yelped as I looked to see the ground so far away as I could feel a pit forming in my stomach. She flew while holding me for a bit then quickly dropped me onto a cloud and as I hit the fluffy substance I saw my life flash before my eyes, thinking I was going to fall right through and hit the ground. Thankfully that didn't happen as I sat upon the soft white material, not even the softest pillow could compare to how amazing the cloud felt as it calmed my nerves a bit. I looked up and saw Rainbow Dash laughing, "Hahahaha! That was amazing! You were so scared!" "Of course I was scared! I'm not used to being able to walk on clouds and you just drop me on one so I thought I was going to fall and die!" I was a bit angry but I couldn't do anything about it as I fell unconscious once again, my head hitting the cloud long after my mind went blank. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vaas sat there in the cell answering questions, though his answers came out as more of a 'fuck you' than information which resulted in the Unicorn hitting him with the magic hoof again. Vaas was covered in red marks from where the hoof hit him and blood was trickling down his head as he was starting to get annoyed at how persistent the unicorn was. After the latest blow from the magic aurora he looked up and smiled. "Have I ever told you the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact same fucking thing over, and over, and over again expecting shit to change. This time it's going to be different, no, no, no, please, this time it's going to be different." "Silence! You're words mean nothing to me! You are just a little worm who slithered into the nest of a bird! You should be grateful that you aren't dead yet!" The Unicorn was getting visibly angry as his nostrils flared, causing Vaas to laugh. "Oh God, you think I'm scared of a pony with a fucking dick on it's head? Ha!" Vaas couldn't control himself as he fell over laughing maniacally, the Unicorn motioned for a guard to come and whispered something into his ear. The guard nodded as he came towards Vaas and that's when he put his plan into motion. He quickly grabbed the blade on the guard's belt and slit the throat of the pony, blooding spraying onto his face. A smile formed on his face as he rushed the second guard, shoving the knife through his chest, going right through the heart of the guard, his armor doing almost nothing to help as it was cut through like tinfoil. Vaas then quickly turned and was face to face with the Unicorn, fear in the pony's eyes as he backed up. "Y-you're a m-monster!" His eyes were wide as he backed up quickly, trying to look for an escape route. Vaas said nothing as he ran up to the Unicorn, backing him into the corner, slowly taking the knife and licking some of the blood off it. A wicked smile shone across his tanned face and in one fluid motion killed the Unicorn, leaving the knife in the lifeless body. Vaas left the cell and the bodies as he gathered up his belongings and went into the actual palace itself, The walls were lined with gold and pillars of silver. Vaas opened two giant doors and saw a nice, big throne at the end of the room. It was as if he was drawn to it by a magical force and he soon was sitting on it, letting out a sigh. "A guy could get used to this." He began to think once more of how to murder or capture any ponies remaining.
