The Book

"Alright, Spike! It's time to re-shelve!"

Twilight stood in the center of the Books and Branches library, wearing a smile that could put Pinkie to shame. She knew it was time. She hadn't re-shelved the entire library before without some sort of ground-breaking activity taking place all of a sudden, but today was going to be PERFECTLY fine!

...Or so she thought...

It was a normal Ponyville morning. The sunlight coating the world in a special warmness, the birds singing a soothing melody, the morning dew lingering above the ground. It was as divine as every other day. She had no plans that day surprisingly. There wasn't a word on her calender. No meetups, no work, and no horrifying creatures terrorizing Ponyville. She thought that it would be the perfect day to catch up on some reading, right after she got around to organizing the books in the library.

It wasn't exactly the most exciting thing for a normal pony, but Twilight loved books to much to care. She loved to reminisce on each book she read while re-shelving. The feeling of the paper, the smell of dust infiltrating her nostrils, the memories of stories that captivated her in another world. Each book was physically like the others, but had its own story. A story that made it much different from the others.

"SPIIIIKE!"

Spike came sprinting down the stairs, a clear look of displeasure plastered on his face.

"Jeez, Twilight! This is the fifth time we've tried to re-shelve this week!"

Twilight looked at him with an expression of disappointment before turning around and levitating multiple books off the shelf and stacking them on the floor.

"Spike! You know how I have a busy schedule! Anyway, I'm sure that today will be perfectly fine! These have just been perfect coincidences."

"Yeah, right..."

As Twilight removed each book from the shelf, she placed them onto the hard wooden floor.

"Spike, start placing the books in alphebetical order of the authors' names, please."

Spike then groaned before wobbling over to the small pile of books and sitting down. He placed each book on top of each other ten books high before creating another stack adjacent to it for each author. He continued this with every letter until the stack was done... before Twilight placed another huge stack before him.

Twilight, on the other hoof, flew througheach shelf, making sure each and every book was accounted for. She checked behind shelves, in hidden compartments, and made sure there were no side-ways books lingering on the shelves out of her sight. She may have spent too much time on each shelf, seeing as how Spike kept up with her, but she paid it no mind. Better safe than sorry.

As Twilight removed the last books on the shelves, she double-checked for anything that could be left. She ran to the first shelf she could see before scouring the individual floors of it. All she found was dust. She continued to check every shelf until she was certain she found every book.

"Hey, Spike. You almost done down there?"

Spike stood up proudly before his twenty-six stacks of books. He shot her a quick salute.

"Yep, all done and accounted for!"

Twilight was pleased. She could already imagine sitting with a good book to read by the windowsill.

"Okay, now we have to clean the shelves!"

Spike emitted a small sigh before running off to the kitchen and returning with a bucket of water, a mop, and a few other cleaning utensils. He placed them on the floor before grabbing a duster and an apron. He ran down to the basement before he returned with a wooden ladder. He placed it against the wall before he climbed up and started dusting.

Twilight decided to sort out her personal bookshelf since she only had one ladder. She trotted over to the staircase and climbed up. The sun shined in her face as she walked through the doorway leading into her room. Twilight looked over to her bookshelf before she smiled. That bookshelf contained her favorite books. Sometime, when she stayed up late reading, she would forget to put it in the right order.

She carefully levitated the books off the small shelf and placed them on her bed, not wanting any of them to get remotely damaged. Just like the other shelves, she scoured this one, making sure she didn't find anything unusual.

This shelf was different though.

Twilight's eyes fell upon a small hoof-shaped button in the back of the top shelf. She was completely unaware of there being a button back there before, which confused her. She didn't usually organize that shelf.

Reluctantly, she pushed her hoof against it. As the wooden circle moved into the back of the shelf, a small click was heard. Suddenly, on the layer below, the wood opened up similar to a set of double-doors.

Twilight bent down, trying to figure out what was inside.

Inside was a book.

On the book was a lone star.

Twilight looked at it warily before levitating it out and in front of her face. As the book was removed from the hole, the wood shifted back into place, closing it up like before.

Twilight ignored it and shifted her attention back to the book. It was green, adorned with a lone yellow star. There were no words on the cover. She opened the book.

The inside was unusual. There were no words, just a single line in the center of the page. She flipped the book more, revealing that all the pages were empty. She noticed a pencil attached to the side of the notebook. She took it off and flipped back to the first page.

'This is highly unusual. There aren't any words in here! Where did this even come from? Who did it belong to. What is even the purpose?'

Twilight decided to worry about it later. She then placed the original books back in order. She sat on her haunches on to of the bed, looking down to the notebook. She had no idea what it was used for or why it was empty.

'Maybe it's for checklists. Who knows?'

The notebook opened as a purple aura surrounded it. Twilight stared at the first page. She levitated the pencil originally from the book up to the first page before writing:

Organized bookshelf

She closed the notebook before she heard a poof and a thud. Twilight assumed it was Spike messing around, so she lifted her head.

Only, there was a large, organized bookshelf right in the middle of her room.

Experimentation

Quick A/N: You may want to carefully peruse through this chapter. It explains the Notebook in detail, so you may be lost in the future if you miss something.

Twilight stared at the bookshelf, then towards the notebook, then at the bookshelf. She repeated that process for an unreasonably long time, a face full of fear, shock, confusion, and pure... curiosity. She had stumbled upon one of the most advanced items in all of Equestria. This thing was capable of spawning ANY item at will. The best thing Twilight could spawn so far, were some classy mustaches. She had no idea where it came from in the first place. It was just hidden in a part of her library. No clues to its origins. She craved for knowledge.

Twilight looked over the notebook a few times over. The previous words, "Organized Bookshelf", were gone. The book was devoid of any previous marks or lines, as if they never existed. She decided to examine each page. On each page, there was a single line. Around the borders of the page, there were multiple squares with rounded corners. Each square had its own symbol with small letters underneath each.

One box was marked with a diagonal arrow. It had a small rectangle sticking out from the back. Underneath, it had the word, "Cursor". This confused Twilight. She didn't understand what type of cursor the notebook meant, so she pressed on it with her pencil. Instantly, a white cursor appeared from nowhere. It was projected onto the item ahead of the notebook, similar to a movie projector. Twilight didn't understand the cursor's use until she looked down at the notepad. Instead of the line in the middle, a word appeared on it. Below, three rectangular boxes appeared under the name. One said, "Add object", one said, "Add adjective", and the last said, "Edit Object".

'This can't POSSIBLY work!' Twilight thought as she realized what it meant. It was saying she could ADD adjectives to and entirely CHANGE existing items.

Twilight's curiosity took into action as she pointed the cursor at the Organized Bookshelf. She looked down at the notepad before pressing her pencil against the box saying, "Add Adjective". The boxes disappeared. A line was spread across the page, with words, "Organized Bookshelf", but there was still more room. Underneath the line were two boxes, One with a check mark, one with a large X. Twilight added the adjective, "Pink", to the line before pressing the check mark. The bookcase was quickly showered with smoke and sparkles before it wore off, revealing the pink bookshelf.

Twilight was absolutely stunned. She tried to think it over, maybe take notes and research, but she wasn't done. There were still multiple boxes to explore, so many opportunities left!

The cursor disappeared as she tapped the cursor box once again. Twilight looked back over the notebook's choices. There was another box in the corner. When she tapped the box, a large map of the world was portrayed over the page, in full colour. Twilight recognized one area as Ponyville. She tapped on the miniature Ponyville before it zoomed in, making it a map of Ponyville. It seemed to be up to date in terms of buildings. She wasn't sure what exactly it did, so she tapped on Rarity's Carousel Boutique.

As she pressed it, a large, "Teleport?" appeared in a large box. Below were two boxes with a Check mark and an X.

Twilight was starting to lose sanity.

'Not only can it completely manipulate objects, but teleport me to any place in Equestria!?'

She couldn't just leave it alone. She needed to test it. She stared at Rarity's boutique before pressing on the check mark. Instead of teleporting her, another box popped up. It said, "Not yet explored". Twilight was slightly disheartened, but she had figured that she needed to explore it with the notebook first. This didn't stop her excitement. She wouldn't have to run everywhere or wait for transportation.

Twilight closed the map before looking back up to the final box on the top-left corner. It was a saddlebag. Twilight pressed the bag before a large box opened and filled the whole page. There was a small toolbar in the bottom. It had a small box explaining the page number out of the total pages along with right and left arrows. It said 1/1 at the moment. In the area, there was an item. It was a paper to be exact.

Twilight pressed on the paper and held the pencil down. It seemed to grow slightly larger as if it came closer to her. She dragged it across the notebook, but surprisingly, the pencil did not leave any marks. Instead, it just moved the paper across the page. She dragged it the top right corner where it said, "Spawn".

Suddenly, a spark appeared in front of her, and the paper visualized. It floated in the air for a second before falling to the ground silently. Twilight contemplated getting off the bed, but she remembered she had magic, being in the presence of an object of great power. She levitated the paper before her before she started to read it.

To enter items into the Notebook's backpack, just hover over the item with the cursor and press the backpack icon in the corner.

Twilight put the paper down before levitating it down onto the floor in front of her. She then looked back to the notebook and pressed the cursor icon. She pointed the cursor at the paper before looking back to the page. It had the normal options like normally, but she realized this time that there was a bag icon in the top-left corner. She tapped it with her pencil before the paper before her was shrouded with a grey smoke. The smoke flew from its spot and into the notebook, seeping in between the pages.

Twilight removed the cursor before pressing on the bag icon once again. In the original spot, the same paper was there, sitting and looking pretty.

'U-unbelievable...'

She stared at the notebook in disbelief for a moment. She didn't know what to say. This item could revolutionize Ponyville in many ways, for better or worse. It was the single greatest invention known to ponykind, and Twilight had it in her hooves.

Twilight couldn't sit still. She was shaking in place, beaming happiness in all directions, challenging Pinkie herself.

She had to experiment more.

So she made something.

Then another thing.

Then another thing...

Spike looked over the bookshelves in the library as he reached the bottom of the tall, wooden ladder. He placed the duster and other supplies into a bucket full of water sitting in the middle of the room. He examined his work as he wiped the sweat off his forehead. The bookshelves were sparkling clean, practically beaming. He could vaguely see his own reflection.

Spike lifted the frilly apron over his head and placed it on the bucket, but was safe not to let it get wet. He picket the bucket up with both claws before slowly bobbling into the basement. He put the supplies back in their places before hanging the apron and emptying the bucket. Satisfied, he walked back up the stair, a hop in his step. He only needed to put the books back in order, which was Twilight's job, before he could go collecting gems with Rarity.

"Rarity..." mumbled Spike as he happily reached the top of the stairs in ecstasy.

Spike looked around the room, unable to find Twilight. Suddenly, a light-bulb appeared above his head.

'That's right! She was going to empty out her bookshelf!'

Spike ran over to the bottom of the staircase going upstairs to their room. He cupped his hands before yelling.

"TWILIGHT! I'm finished cleaning the bookshelf like you asked!"

Spike stood there, still. He waited a minute. No response. Curious, he called again.

"TWILIGHT, C'MON!"

Nothing.

Spike was washed over with a bit of worry and confusion. He was unsure why Twilight couldn't hear him.

'I'll just go up and get her. She probably took a nap.'

He then sprinted up the stairs.

As he approached the door, he heard some light thumping on the floor, as if multiple items were hitting the floor simultaneously. Spike placed his head against the door. There was no way he was mistaking it.

Confused he opened the door.

He was met with the sight of books, bookshelves, statues, scrolls, and cupcakes flying in mid-air with a myriad of different characteristics.

"Twilight!? Where did you-"

He then turned into a pickle.

"Hey Maxwell, where's your notebook?"

Maxwell looked around his room for a second. He was only met with an empty room, devoid of anything of interest.

Well, when you own something that can make anything, a giant, dancing, crying, red elephant is as interesting as you think.

"Huh... I could have sworn I left it next to the teleportation globe..."

Maxwell quickly looked around the the room again.

"...which is gone too."

Twilight sighed as she lay content on her bed, completely frazzled. She had been known to act rather... insane at times, but this outburst was not in an ill manner. It felt rather nice to unwind once in a while. She had been out of hoof at times, but she knew this this was only for a moment. She was just glad to be able to close her eyes and relax, seeing as how she was always busy or occupied with a fantastic book.

Twilight relayed the recent events through her mind. She was beyond happy, if not a tad bit confused. The adrenaline that continued to run through her body warded any thoughts that could prove fruitful at the moment. She had not had that much fun in a while. All she needed to do was to open her eyes, finish her tasks, then hang out with her friends.

Twilight turned on her side. She wasn't necessarily paying any attention during her outburst. Now that she had calmed down a little, she could clean up whatever minimal mess she made. She opened her eyes.

Her eyes almost fell out of her face.

In the center of the room was a mini volcano with a lava twister on the top, spinning around various books, food items, apparel, and a single pickle. The ordeal was ripping items from the walls, desks, bookshelves, and anything that the twister could get a hold of. The whole scene was a display of destruction. Things that wouldn't exist here were there. Twilight was shocked. She had never witnessed so much destruction in all her days.

"OH SWEET CELESTIA!"

Bed sheets flew as Twilight jumped from her bed, slaloming her way through the apocalypse of a room, and sprinted through the door, all in a blur. The book, which was hanging limply on her horn, managed to stay on. She had forgotten about the book. She was just glad that she hadn't left in there, seeing as how it was probably the only way to fix the room.

She managed to stealthily fall down the stairs, only breaking one of the floorboards. Twilight hastily rose to her hooves before flying around the house at break-neck speed.

"SPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE!"

Twilight was rather worried about the baby dragon. Spike had been tasked with cleaning the bookshelves. There was no doubt that he had finished. Twilight had no idea how long she had been messing around in her room anyway.

Twilight couldn't just set it aside. She went to look. She checked every room. She checked every closet. Heck, she ended up looking in the fridge she was so desperate. Twilight lowered to her haunches in the center of the library, next to a pile of books, all marked with an author that had a name that started with "N". She was defeated. She had no idea where the dragon was. Maybe he was in the room?

'Calm down, Twilight! He probably just went to go check on me, found the mess, and went for help!'

Twilight chuckled nervously. She was nearly on the brink of insanity once again. She could feel her mind going haywire by each waking moment, threatening to take over. She had no idea how to fix it. She almost felt like running, but she knew that there was some way to fix it before it devoured her library.

'Think, Twilight, think!'

She continued to bang her head into her hoof over and over, as if the action actually did something. She almost gave up before she remembered something.

'Wait! The book!'

Twilight looked down at the book that lay at the bottom of the staircase leading upstairs to that hellhole of a room. She hastily sprinted to the steps of the stairs, her hooves flying up and down as she nervously trotted in place. She had no idea how she's fix that mess without brutally murdering a library and possibly a few ponies.

As she picked up the book in her hooves before scrambling through the book as fast as possible. The pages flew. They were all the same. Same globe, backpack, and icons. It was practically hopeless.

'There HAS to be some way to fix this!'

"Hiya, Twilight!"

Twilight stopped suddenly as a high-pitched, candy-sprinkled voice sounded behind her. She couldn't help but spin around at the sound. Behind her was Pinkie Pie, who had just nonchalantly trotted into the front door of the library. She seemed to understand what was going on, yet her face was neutral. Pinkie mentioned that she was going to come over to the library around three to get Twilight to the picnic her friends and she had all organized for that day. Twilight stared for a few moments before just turning back to the book.

"Pinkie! I'd love to chat right now, but I really need to fix a problem that I have upstairs."

Pinkie stared at Twilight slightly curious. She hopped quickly right up to Twilight in a bubbly manner. She reached over Twilight before putting her foreleg over Twilight's neck.

"Silly Twilight! You just need to press the reset button!"

Twilight stopped. She lowered her hooves to the ground before putting the book in her telekinesis, which she had forgotten about, due to the current havoc ravaging her bedroom.

"Wh-what reset button?"

"The one that's on the book!"

Pinkie took her foreleg off of Twilight's neck before pointing to the side of the notebook. Sure enough, there was a large button etched across the spine that read, "RESET".

Twilight stared at the button for a second before lowering the book slightly lower. She raised one hoof before placing it against the button.

As the button slid slightly into the book, the sounds emanating from the upper floor stopped. Not a sound was heard, save for a rather heavy thud. Twilight grew a face of utter confusion. She turned to Pinkie.

"Pinkie, h-how did you-!?"

"Silly Twilight! Everypony knows that you just need to press the reset button!"

Twilight stared in utter dismay before just shaking her head. She could worry about it later.

Without a moment's waste, she gently dropped the book to the ground. She raced up the stairs. As her hooves reached the final step, she opened the door leading to her room.

Inside was what she hadn't expected to see. The room was spotless. There were none of the items summoned there anymore. Each item pulled from the room's furniture had been placed back perfectly, no scratches or damage, even though it had been in the middle of a fire-twister. In the center of the room, was a clueless, confused, and downright angry Spike.

"Twilight!? What in Celestia's name HAPPENED!?"

Spike was fuming. Twilight could practically see the anger radiate off of him. In his hand was the skin of a pickle. Weirdly enough, that was the only thing remaining.

"I come up to see what happened, and I see books flying around a TORNADO. Next thing I know, I wake up next to the skin of a PICKLE!"

Twilight shuffled her hooves, embarrassed. She didn't know how she could explain this one to Spike. It was still new and was a shock to her.

Thinking back to it, she left the book back in the library, along with all the piles of books. She had completely forgot it was re-shelving day. What other reason would Spike have come upstairs?

"Look, Spike. I'll explain to you later. First, I need to know. Did you finish cleaning those shelves?"

Spike could clearly see that she was dodging the question, but he knew that she wouldn't get away with it.

'She'll have to tell me eventually...'

Spike slowly nodded his head, defeated. He just needed to know what had happened. It didn't matter too much, but in his opinion, ignorance was not bliss.

"Okay, you can go relax or hang out. I can finish the rest of the job. Thank you very much for your help today! I'll make sure to get you a treat when I go out with my friends later, okay?"

Spike seemed to visibly elate at the aspect of getting a treat and being able to relax for the rest of the day. He turned around before plopping back down on his bed.

Twilight turned away from her friend. She had to put those things away. Before she left the room, she glanced back to her personal bookshelf.

'Spotless...'

Twilight began trotting down the stairs before she began to think.

'Hmm, I left Pinkie down there with the book... I'll just tell her that I'll meet her yesterday. I just need to put those books away first.'

As Twilight reached the bottom of the stairs, she heard a small, "poof". She turned her head towards the center of the library. Before she could realize what was going on, a giggling streak of pink flew out the door out to Ponyville. Twilight passed it off as Pinkie leaving, before she realized something was off.

Oh yes, there were only a few THOUSAND cupcakes lying in the middle of the room, next to the pile of books.

Scared, Twilight looked all around the floor. She checked every nook and cranny, but she couldn't find it. She couldn't lose it now.

The book was gone.

Shenanigans

Pinkie Pie danced around the streets, bounce in her step. I'd say she was hopping, but... that's actually what she was doing. The notebook dangled in her teeth, simultaneously bouncing with Pinkie. She was a while away from Twilight's library by now. Pinkie was glad that Twilight had that book in the library, because she couldn't stop imagining the loads of fun she could create with it. She was as happy as ever. She was always this happy, but this was a special occasion. Today was a beautiful day, and she was on her way to Rainbow's house for a day full of harmless pranks. She had a destination in mind, but she could only help but focus on the beautiful day around her and the many ponies around her. She couldn't help but wave at each of the ponies or give a large smile.

They were in their always chipper moods, happily completing their errands for the day. They all acknowledged each other with a smile or wave. It seemed like a perfect little town, where everypony liked each other.

Everypony Pinkie passed shot her a, "hello!", or a simple gesture of happiness. They weren't necessarily concerned or bothered by her intentions, even though Pinkie was scarcely seen reading a book other than a cook book. Pinkie had been certainly intrigued by this book herself, though.

Pinkie stopped her bouncing momentarily as she rose the book and removed it from her mouth before looking at it. Something was confusing her since she got it. Something she couldn't pinpoint.

'Why didn't Twilight put this book back in the piles of other library books? Silly Twilight!'

"Hi Pinkie!"

"Oh, hiya Rosheluck!" slurred Pinkie, book still in mouth. She quickly removed it and placed it in her hoof.

Roseluck passed a rose to a customer across the booth before picking up the bits she received and turning back to Pinkie. She gave a curious glance towards the book Pinkie held.

"Oh, what's that book you're carrying around? New cook book?"

Pinkie Pie gleamed a bright smile before shaking her head vigorously.

"Nope! It's a new, super fantastical book I got at the library! It's SOOOOOO super-dee duper sweet!"

Roseluck thought for a moment.

'What kind of book could get her so excited?...'

She quickly stole a glance. She identified the book as a notebook based on the spiral protruding from the crease. She also noticed a large, yellow star on the front. It didn't have a name on it, which she found slightly confusing, but she didn't think too much of it.

"I wouldn't want to bother you too much. Celestia knows what you're going to use that book for. I'll just let ya' go for now."

Roseluck turned from Pinkie to a brown stallion pegasus who stood across the stall. He had a spiky mane with a yellow/green half and a yellow half, which also applied to his tail. On his flank adorned his cutie mark: A microphone.

"Oh, hello there! How may I help you?"

The stallion looked around quizzically for a moment before turning back to Roseluck.

"Hi, I'm Toxic Twist and I'm new to town. Would you happen to know the way to town hall? I can find my way around from there."

Roseluck put on a chipper expression before happily pointing towards the east, where in the distance, a large building could be identified.

"Right that way, Toxic."

Toxic stared down east where he saw something he didn't expect to see. Instead of a town full of ponies, he was met with a large blob of Pink, mere inches from his face.

"WHOA!"

He jumped back a meter or so before fumbling his hooves and falling down.

Dazed, Toxic moved his vision back towards Pinkie, who seemed to be furiously scribbling in the notebook. The more she wrote, the more items that formed around her, one by one. They each stacked up, spawning faster and faster. It moved from one item a second, to two, to four, and to even ten. The speed of the pencil managed to cause the notebook to emit smoke. yet the pencil never shortened.

Balloons, candies, tables, chairs, and party equipment appeared at an alarming rate. Each item plopped to the ground, except for the treats, which all somehow landed in bowls on the tables. Ponies surrounded her, confused, curious, and downright terrified. They hadn't seen phenomenon like this happen before. The most shocking part was the fact that Pinkie wasn't even a unicorn, but just a simple Earth Pony.

One by one, tables readied, foods completed, and games prepared, in the matter of a few seconds. It was astonishing.

Toxic sat on the floor, baffled.

Pinkie just sat there smiling.

"WELCOME TO PONYVILLE! I'm Pinkie Pie, and I'll be your new bestest friend!"

Toxic shakily got to his hooves, completely shocked. He didn't really care at the time about the party at all. More of the spontaneous spawning of party equipment.

"Th-thanks, I g-guess..."

He trotted over to the treats table to examine. All the treats were chocolate-flavored.

'Oh... great... Chocolate...'

Toxic turned back to Pinkie before growing what looked like a smile. He scratched the back of his neck with his wing before chuckling silently to himself. He slowly grew a brave face.

"Hey, Pinkie, I sincerely appreciate the party, but I gotta head down to Town Hall. I'm trying to buy a house, and there are few available. I do hope to see you later! I also hate chocolate..."

Pinkie seemed a bit upset, but she didn't care. She knew that Toxic's priorities were first. Besides, he's buying a house anyway. She'll throw him one later.

"Alrighty, Toxie!"

She then hopped past the confused and nervous stallion nonchalantly. In an instant, all the party equipment disappeared. The surrounding ponies all scattered, mumbling to themselves that it was just Pinkie being Pinkie. Toxic, too, left towards his destination.

All that was left was a quite perplexed Roseluck.

'Pinkie, where are you!?'

Twilight rushed down the streets, one thing on her mind. She could not fathom the amount of destruction and havoc that one pink pony could cause, not only to Ponyville, but to the entirety of Equestria itself. She passed by concerned pony after concerned pony, trying to pinpoint a certain color that could only mean trouble. She couldn't help but imagine a few scenarios of the shenanigans Pinkie could cause with that sort of power in her hooves. The more she thought about it, the less dangerous she took it to sound, but nonetheless, it was limitless after seeing the 1000+ cupcakes in her Library.

'Why would Pinkie even take it?'

Twilight almost stumbled over her own hooves. She hadn't really thought of it until now. She knew that Pinkie wouldn't steal. It seemed too uncharacteristic of Pinkie.

Twilight continued to stand in the street, pondering it.

"Hmm... maybe I could ask-"

Twilight seemed to come to a slight realization that would actually make sense. It struck her like a pile of bricks.

'I live in a library...'

She mentally face-hoofed herself, realizing her mistake. She knew she had to sort this out, but in the long run, it mattered on finding Pinkie.

Twilight quickly began running again, disregarding everything but Pinkie and the infamous notebook.

'If I were a Pinkie Pie, where would I run off to...'

Twilight pondered this for a moment. She couldn't think straight as she was too focused on not running into ponies. She weighed her options before spotting a small park bench in the distance. She seemed something was off before realizing that her chasing had led her to the Ponyville park unknowingly.

The speeding Twilight slowed to a halt. She bowed over for a second to catch her breath, not noticing the amount of energy she had been spending trying to find Pinkie. She was more tired than she originally thought. The adrenaline coursing through her veins from pure fear died down slowly as she regained her posture.

'For a pony who loves sweets as much as Spike loves Rarity, she's surprisingly fit... I'll have to research that.'

As Twilight regulated her breath, she let out a small sigh. No luck so far. She turned her head to the empty park bench before deciding that sitting down now would be the best option at the moment, considering that blindly running would lead her nowhere.

She sluggishly trotted over to the wooden bench before placing herself gently. She organized her thoughts.

'Okay, well Pinkie doesn't have work today, so that's a no... perhaps she had plans today?'

Twilight tried thinking back to the library, in case Pinkie had said anything about plans. The harder she thought, the more fruitless she was. All she remembered was Pinkie helping her figure out how to fix her old problem.

'Think Twilight! What would Pinkie do FIRST with a notebook like that? Food? Fun? Pranks?'

Something clicked in her head. It seemed like it made sense.

'Pranks with Rainbow Dash... It makes sense... wait, oh no...'

She quickly shot to her hooves, furiously twitching her head around, trying to spot Rainbow Dash's house. She spent several seconds looking North, West, South, and East before realizing that her house was a large cloud, not to mention that she might now even be there.

Her eyes flew skyward as she scoured the clouds, searching for a certain spectrum of colours. She couldn't help but think on a slight tingly sense in her muzzle. It felt like an itch, but scratching it wasn't helping.

Suddenly, a blinding light covered her vision. It came out of nowhere. Twilight rubbed her eyes vigorously, trying to adjust her eyes to the sudden flash.

As her eyes began returning to normal, a rustle emanated from a nearby bush, accompanied by a saccharine giggle. It sounded strangely familiar. Along with the change, she couldn't help but focus on a slight feeling in her muzzle.

As her eyes finally adjusted, she opened them quickly, to see what had just occurred.

Twilight had been mustachioed.

"PINKIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
