Spike doesn't know what to do, will he tell her his feelings?
Spike, a little purple dragon, has a problem. He started seeing a pony he knows from birth, in another way. He knows he shouldn't. But his heart tells him other ways Can love bloom between them?
Spike was sleeping in his basket, peacefully, he was free of any kind of problems, he was happy. Happy with himself, happy with everyone he knows.
The sun started to rise in the horizon, lighting up the little room, the sunlight moved trough the sky, being cleaned up recently by the Pegasi, Spike loves to sleep, but, in this occasion, he needed to wake up early, today was Hearts Warming Eve after all, and he wanted to make something special to Twilight, something she enjoys very much.
"OK, she still sleep, it's my chance" Spike said with a low voice.
And he jumped from his little basket, into the cold and hard wood of his home tree, it was colder than usual, for obvious reasons.
Although Spike was a reptile, he managed the cold just fine, he never asked to Twilight extra protection for the cold, instead when they were in the library, he takes off his winter clothes and sit with Twilight close to the fire, with a hot chocolate and a good comic book to read.
But now, he was concentrated in getting out of the little room without any sound, he was just a few centimeters away from her now, so by reaction, he turned to face her.
It felt somehow different now, she was slept, that was obvious, but at the moment he looked at her, he felt....something, deep down in his stomach, something he only had felt with a certain white unicorn.
"What?" Spike thought.
"It must be nothing, just that, she looks very pretty while she sleeps, too pretty"
And he was right, Twilight looked more pretty while she slept, her coat shined in a particular way, and the sound of her, sleeping peacefully, gave Spike comfort and joy. He rarely looks at her this way, and at this hours.
"Alright, let's get to work" He finally made it out, he was now in the kitchen, what he most expected was making a good breakfast to Twilight in this important day.
Spike was a talented cook, despite the fact of him being a dragon who eats only gems, he had a fabulous sense for picking up the right ingredients, the right amount of time in the fire for the food, and a nice way for presenting the dish, it wasn't luck, just Spike, being him. And Twilight appreciated this more than anybody, she was...less talented, when it comes to food.
In the moment, spike started to make breakfast, some fruit, juice and a special dish Spike knew but, he never told me what it was or what was in it, he was deeply concentrated at his task at hand, moving the pan one way and another, cutting with the other hand a bunch of fruit and with his tail, moving another bowl.
"This is gonna be excellent" Spike said with his normal tone of voice.
"Spike, I love you" Twilight whispered it on his ear, her voice was in a sensual tone.
"But Twilight, this is not going to work" Spike said, annoyed.
"What!? Why not!? I love you, You love m......
"NO. I don't love you, at least, not in that way"
The tears started to form in twilight's eyes, she couldn't believed what Spike had said to her.
"Spike, please.....
"Gahh" Twilight awoke, shaking in her bed, her eyes were puffy and red, she was sweating, a lot, her heart was beating at it's maximum speed.
"What in the name of Celestia!?"
"I love Spike, but not in that way, not in a million years"
"Then, why do I keep having these dreams!?" Twilight started having this dream like a week ago, she didn't knew why.
"I should look in one of my books for advice in Extremely Weird Dreams" Twilight giggled at her answer.
"There. Done, I hope she isn't awake by now" Spike said while puting the last dish in the table.
The little dragon really outdone himself this time, the entire of the table was covered by an amazing feast, juice and fruit in bowls waiting to be eaten, and that dish that he never told me what it was, but it looked delicious. It was so much food, it didn't fit in a tray, so, he couldn't carry to her while she was in her bed, so he needed to call her.
"Alright I'll wake her up. She is going to love this" Spike was half way there by the end of the sentence.
Twilight was now out of her bed and was looking for a particular dragon.
"Where could he be, What he could be doing" Twilight was getting a little worried.
"He never, never awakes at this hour"
"What if he ran away, what if he...
"Twilight" Spike burst in the room.
"Awwwww, were you awake, or I awoke you?" Spike asked, a little annoyed that he didn't awaked her.
"I was awake, very recently. What are you doing up so early?"
"Well, at least it will still be a surprise" Spike giggled a little bit.
"OK, now, I need you to follow me, quick"
That earned a confused look in Twilight's face, that was a hard achievement to get.
"Alright Mister Surprises, lead the way"
Spike started walking towards his surprise, the lavender unicorn following him closely.
Twilight, was very eager to see what spike had done for her, until she heard the voice of a dragon.
"That's not fair, you have to close your eyes, please"
"Alright, I'll play your game" Twilight spoke with a mocking tone of voice.
Spike jumped of the joy, like a little foal who had received a prize or something, she grabbed twilight of one of her hooves to lead her to the table. Spike couldn't take it anymore, he wanted to see the face of Twilight when she sees it.
Finally, they arrived at the table, spike quickly said it:
"Alright, open them"
"Spike, you did this for me?" Twilight was absolutely amazed by the work of her little assistant, all the bowls and dishes were lined up and with the most luscious food he could muster.
"Well, Yeah, I did"
"Spike, you are the most wonderful and loving assistant there could be in all of Equestria" Twilight said it with the most happy and expressive tone of voice she had.
"Hmm, thanks Twilight" Spike was blushing furiously, she had received compliments from Twilight before, but he felt this one, different.
Twilight stood there again, in front of the little dragon, face to face, she started to blush, and then, she remembered the dream.
"Now that I see him, he is kind of handsome"
"Twilight is more cute than usual today, or is she like this all the time, why I haven't noticed before?
They locked gazes, none of them saying anything, just looking at each other. For some reason, they felt different, they started to blush, until something happened. Spike took the initiative and started to lean forward, he didn't knew what he was doing or why, for his misfortune Twilight didn't took the hint and moved away.
"Well, all of this looks delicious, can we start?"
"After you, Twilight"
The meal continued in an uncomfortable silence, only being interrupted by the sound of the dishes and slow and silent chew of both of the companions, it could be the most uncomfortable meal the two have had in a long time.
"It is absolutely delicious Spike, you really outdid yourself this time" The silence broke with the sentence Twilight gave.
"Thanks Twilight, again"
"What's happening to me, why do I kept thinking of her like that, I shouldn't, I mustn't. but, there is something in her.
"NO, those are just dreams, nothing more, right?
"Awww, now I can't stop thinking in her"
"I can't love him that way
"Why not? He is funny, loving, helpful
"She is smart, funny, occasionally, and really cute
Curiously, when their thoughts finished, also their meals.
"Well, It definitely was something Spike, Thank you again"
"You're Welcome,Twilight"
They locked gazes again, this time he couldn't let her escape without a proof of his love.
His heart started beating as hardest and fastest he could bare, yet, he started moving towards the little pony that was in front of him, this time, the luck was on his side, and twilight also started moving towards him.
"N-No, I can't I mustn't"
"NO, he is like a son to me"
Yet, his mind dictated one thing his body does another, and they continued walking towards each other. A few centimeters separated them now.
"No, stop right now!"

Again, the brain told something the body does another, and eventually, only the feelings remain.
They couldn't stopped, they knew what this could mean, the destruction of a mother-son relationship, probably the hatred of one to another. Yet, it arrived, they close their eyes, they now could felt the breathe of each one, with one last deep breath, they touch their lips.
A Kiss, the first kiss they ever gave to anybody, it was THE kiss. Wet, as they expected, and also awkward, none of them really knew how to kiss, yet, they gave everything in that big kiss. Spike was in heaven, it was the most amazing feel he had ever experienced. Twilight felt bad for what happened, this sensation didn't last long, when she felt his tongue dancing with her's, it was heaven, nothing could compare to it, nothing could match with it. She didn't want to stay back, she started moving her tongue along with his, yes, it was perfect, just perfect.
They finally broke the kiss, it could be the most sad moment they have ever experienced.
"T-Twilight, I.......
Before he could finish his sentence, the lavender unicorn had already run to the room.
Spike felt bad about all the things, he needed to face now. What about Rarity!? What about Twilight!?
"Well, my point is, she needs you Spike, More than what she is willing to recognize"
"She is alone, you want her to be happy, right?"
"Yes, yes of course"
"Then prove it to her, go to her bedroom and love her!"
The courage of spike was visible from a thousand miles, as he started walking towards the bedroom where she sleeps.
"I love you Twilight" He whispered.
"Spike?" He heard her saying his name and froze in there, all the courage he had was now gone and he was paralyzed.
"Spike, come here, please" "Ups, I didn't expect that"
"C-Coming" Spike muttered.
He finally reached the final leader and was now in the front of the door, the door he dreamed about opening it and find her waiting for him for a special night of kisses and hugs, maybe some food and almost every thing he could imagine. But that was not the case right now.
"May I come i......... He fall to the ground of the sudden movement of the door.
"Why this happened Spike?" She asked with tears in her face.
"Because.I.love.You.Twilight. Come on just say those five words"
"I w-want to, but I-I..........can not" Spike thought.
"I don't know" Spike answered with some tears starting to appear.
"I do!" She screamed.
"We are just making a best friends relationship right? Best friends do that, kissing, right?" She talked with an weak smile in her lips, also a tone of voice too fearful.
"No man, you need to........
"Yes, It was that" Spike said with his most deep and defeated tone of voice.
"Best friends now?" She asked.
"Forever"
The little unicorn got a red with pink tone in her cheeks, a big and notorious one.
"Twilight, I-I want to tell you something"
"Do it man, Just do it"
"Twilight................... I Can't Do It!
".............we will be assisting to canterlot?" Spike said with a defeated tone.
"That's not what you wanted to say Spike" Twilight thought.
"Oh Spike, I love you too, but not in that way"
"IDEA!"
"IDEA"

"In canterlot........
"I tell her..........
"I tell him that.............
"I love her"
"Nothing will ever be between us"
"Some place quiet"
"What other place than.........the canterlot library"
All the conversation occurred only in their minds, making this moment to be a lot more funny than what it should be, with spontaneous smiles and chuckles from both parts, all of this while looking deeply in each other.
Yes....this is just perfect.........Are those Twilight's eyes? They are beautiful! Spike thought.
Perfect, now just act normal until we get there............ Spike's eyes are so beautiful"
"Twilight......
"Get ready, we don't want to get late, are we?" She spoke like if nothing has happened.
Spike was still in a shock, but he managed to get his feet moving towards the bathroom.
"No! No we don't, right?" He put a weak smile in his lips.
"No of course not, What could happen that could delay us today? She gave him a comforting look and smile.
"Don't know" And he ran to the shower.
Spike had finished, also Twilight, they had lunch and they were ready to go, they and their friends decided that they will take the train, as usual, It's always fun to go to canterlot in that train, maybe too funny.
They finally arrived to the train station and all of their friends were there.
"Why took you so long" The cyan Pegasus yelled.
"Yeah, It's not normal from ya to be late? Applejack spoke.
"Well, the point is, they are here" Rarity spoke with her usual British accent.
"Spike Darling, can you help me with those?" Rarity point her hoof to a mountain of bags and portmanteaus.
"Sur......
"Sorry Rarity, he is helping me out, Right Spike?" An evil smile appeared in her face
"What's wrong with her?"
"Oh, I see, well I think I could.......lift them myself" She made a strange noise and start walking towards the pile of bags.
"I could help her, you know how she is" Spike whispered.
"No, you could, get hurt or something" Twilight spoke with an angry tone of voice.
"If you say so"
The road to canterlot was, as expected, funny and great, all of the friends were having a good time, laughing and all, so the journey was short and sweet, all of them were laughing expect for one, a little purple dragon, was alone in a corner of the train, thinking.
"Is this really truth, or is she's just playing with me?"
"Come on Spike, how could she play with something as important as your heart. She loves you man"
"And what about Rarity and the others?"
"Rarity? She had never put attention to your heart, what could change now?"
"Spike?" Spike jumped from the sudden scare the white unicorn gave him.
"Oh, Rarity, what's up?" He asked curiously.
"Not much really, I just wanted to tell you that.......I'm sorry" She gave a defeated sigh.
"What? Why?" Spike asked like a little kid.
"I didn't paid attention to the burden of carrying my things, all those years of you, carrying and helping me, so I want to give you a surprise, for all your years of help"
"Great, What is it?"
She gave him a little kiss in his lips, one thing was a little kiss in his cheek but in his mouth!?
The kiss only last five or six seconds but for Spike they were years
They finally saw the entry to canterlot along with their all time guards.
Rarity had a warm smile in her lips, and was looking at Spike with those beautiful blue eyes of her.
"Oh man, what did just happened!?"
"She......She......She loves me!
"No, she doesn't, and besides what about Twilight, she could love you too"
"But Rarity have just given me a kiss!
"But with no heart or soul in it!"
"That is not true!"
"Spike" Rarity spoke with a different tone of voice, one that Spike hasn't heard before.
And the two of them started to lean to each other, their eyes starting to close and the passion to rose in the wagon.
"Spike we're almost there, we need to.... Twilight's words got lost because of the sight she was having.
"What in Equestria is going on!?"
"AHHH, Is just Spike kissing........
"RARITY?!"
The little lavender mare was having a hard time, she didn't know what she was feeling, she was feeling........heat; not a heat like when she looks at spike, so warm and good; she felt heat from her stomach a Strong and Nasty heat, one that she have not felt in a long time, actually never, and the object of that such heat was a certain white unicorn.
"But why, I don't love Spike, not in that way"
"And Rarity is my friend"
"BUT SHE WILL BREAK HIS HEART!"
The heat in her was escalating quickly and her face was turning red.
"Why SHE Spike? Why SHE?"
Twilight looked at the ground and felt an anger run all the way through her body.
"Oh No Miss Rarity, You won't"
The lips of the two lovers met again this time more passionately and the waterfall of emotions of spike was at his pike when.....
They heard a voice, a voice they both knew very well.
"Spike, we're almost there!" Twilight yelled, not a yell of anger, one to raise her voice, hiding any feelings in it.
"Oh, time flies when one is having the best moments right Spike?" Rarity spoke with tha same different voice.
And the white unicorn got up from the side of Spike and made her way to the exit.
"Did she just said.........
"Yep, aaaaand, made a special emphasis in BEST MOMENTS!"
"She loves me!"
"But........But, it doesn't make any sense, why now?"
"Who cares?"
"TWILIGHT CARES!"
"Twilight!? She doesn't love me!"
"How do you know?"
"No, just shut up, Rarity is the one"
"No, Twilight is a lot more better, and she loves you, FOR REAL!"
"And then, what was this? Tell me!"
"I...........I don't know"
"I will not leave my opportunity with Rarity just for a crazy and..........STUPID dream of being with Twilight!" A single tear fell from the Baby Dragon's cheek.
"No man, come on.....
"No, I'll be with Rarity and we will love each other, Forever"
And the little dragon made is way to the exit as well.
The seven friends made their way to the exit of the wagon, until a certain lavender unicorn went with a certain white unicorn.
"Oh my goodness, Rarity now I see you do bring a lot of luggage, need any help?" A strange smile appeared in the lips of the element of magic.
"Oh Twilight that would be delightful!"
"Well then, good luck getting any, I think those people over there can help" The smile grew in size in the lips of the lavender unicorn and left her friend.
The white mare, was dumbfounded and in a way offended.
"That's what I was going to do anyway"
"OH, It was a joke?"
"Very funny Twilight!" Rarity yelled to Twilight; she had a genuine smile.
"What? That wasn't what I.....
"Oh Celestia, why did I do that? She is my friend!"
""Alright, this has to end, and I know just how"
A cyan pegasus went closer with a certain white unicorn who was laughing warmly.
"What is it Rarity?"
"Oh, nothing, can you believe this? Twilight just made a joke"
The cyan pegasus stood silent for a moment and then she started laughing as well.
"Twilight telling a joke, that's priceless"
"Rarity, need any help?" A voice came fron underneath them.
"Oh Spike, always so thoughtful, but NO, someone else can manage it, after all, you have helped me a lot Recently"
Rarity gave him a wink, and started trotting to find someone that could help her.
"What was that?!" Asked a confused but excited Rainbow Dash.
"Nothing, I just wanted to help her, What? Is it forbidden now?" The dragon sopke with a different tone, and Rainbow Dash knew that tone very well.
"Alright, then bye Spike" And left flying to met again with her very best friend Rarity.
"Are you going serious with Spike or not?" The eyes of the fashionista went widen.
"I don't know what you are talking about" Rarity made a motion with her hoof.
"You are good at this, but Spike isn't" Rarity gave a defeated sigh.
"Did he told you?"
"More like I find it out for myself" Rainbow dash made her signature pose.
"I don't know, I just wanted to thank him for everything he had done for me, and I always have known about his crush with me, so, I found suitable.........A little kiss" The face of the fashionista was getting red.
"W-Where?" Asked an also red Rainbow Dash.
"Where a LADY knows" Rarity looked at her friend and gave her a wink
"But something didn't went alright"
"What?!"
"I felt........Good, I felt so Good, with him, and then I couldn't resist and I gave him another"
"So you are serious with him?"
"Well, I didn't said that" Rarity spoke with a sad tone.
"What are you talking about?"
"I don't want to spent the rest of my life with him, it just doesn't feel right, and besides he is a dragon and a BABY"
"But if you love him maybe you........
"No Rainbow, I made my decision and I will tell him, at the celebration"
The cyan pegasus made a disgusted face to her friend.
"That will brake his little heart, you do know right?"
